We booked it because it said it was family friendly, but the indoor pool was inside the spa and it didn't feel like kids were allowed (they didn't say it like that but discouraged us from going). Also, the menu at the restaurant was quite limited and no kids menu whatsoever. We had to ask and they said they could accommodate us, which we appreciate it. But even for adults, the menu was a little bit overpriced and with few options if you didn't like fish.

• Diane (10/5): Memorable! Met a lovely British couple. The hotel GM, Mariona, is a gracious hostess! - This is a lovely property! Well taken care of and very well run! Most of the staff speaks English. We stayed in the main house. Ample size bedroom with a large bathroom. It has a tub, shower, and double sinks. Good amount of space to hang and store personal belongings. Small refrigerator and safe. The menu is the same everyday for breakfast and dinner.

We stayed at the original building with a view over the pool and tennis court. The room was spacious and we even had our own (shared) living room and big patio. We enjoyed the food at the restaurant, especially the steak (see photo) and all the products from their own garden. Special thanks to Mariona (and the rest of the staff of course) who made our stay even better. We'll definitely be back! -

Wir kamen nachts an und mussten über eine ungeteerte Straße fahren. Natürlich sehr staubig und nicht ungefährlich, da viele Wildschweine unterwegs sind. Das "umfangreiche Frühstück" beinhaltet keine Eier, das Omelette wurde extra berechnet. Große Hunde beim Frühstück müssen vielleicht nicht sein, unser kleiner Jack Russel schafft eine Stunde im Hotelzimmer ohne Probleme.

• John (8/5): A comfortable, lazy stay in a beautiful property with excellent service and food. - A beautiful property with comfortable rooms and a remarkable outdoor pool. All the food and produce were also to a very high standard with the most delightful tomatoes! Superb service - Mariona the manager was so friendly and clearly very experienced, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Including showing our daughter around the homegrown vegetable garden and quickly rectifying a hot water issue with our room by offering us a new one. A few more guests. The property was very quiet.

Exceptional service from the whole team. Food including breakfast was amazing as ever. This is our preferred property in Catalunya for exploring the area north of Barcelona such as Girona. Perfect stay - couldn't have improved anything.

• Christina (10/5): The perfect weekend getaway in the countryside - We absolutely loved the beauty, peace and quiet at the hotel. It’s a very big area so guests spread out and it never felt crowded. Our room was quite big and we had a fridge. The food is amazing and we could lend tennis rackets and a yoga mat. The pool is huge and great for swimming laps. Our 3yo had a great time as well. I would absolutely recommend this for a quiet We would have appreciated a coffeemaker and a kettle in the room.

• Adriana (5/5): Not bad, but could be much better if the management paid attention to the details. - Very calm and beautiful setting, garden and pool well curated. Overpriced in my opinion. My room was smelling "old" as if it wasn't open for a while, there was a lot of dust on the corners and a fowl smell on the corridor. If a hotel charges a certain price, they should make sure to pay attention to small details. We tried to eat the the restaurant which had a very interesting menu, but unfortunately it didn't work as after waiting 15 minutes for a waiter to come and take our order, we just gave up. For breakfast, we arrived at 10:00 (closure at 10:30) and there was no more bread, no more cheese, no more fruits. Also, there was no informatiom at all as what the prepared foods were, no allergy information, no intollerances information and it was just difficult to guess what the food was. We did not have breakfast as the whole condition did not invite us. And this is what I mean by missing details.
• Natalia (7/5): Beautiful setting, room for improvement from a management perspective - + The hotel is beautiful- the location, the setting, the views + The room was spacious including the bathroom, the bed was pretty comfortable + The amenities such as the tennis court + The staff were courteous - The AC wasn’t working properly in our suite, so sleeping (namely on the last night when it was hot) was very uncomfortable - There were hidden charges: for example, there is a spa on premises, we could book it by the hour. No one told us it was 49€ per hour (not worth it at all!). They thankfully took the charge away but we had to complain about it. Same with breakfast: we took a B&B formula and when you order on the card (we had assumed it was includes for people who took the B&B formula), we were surprised to see the charges on our bill at the end… - The restaurant - there were errors both nights we went there. The first night we ordered a salad and they brought the wrong one (we didn’t notice the error so we ate it and decided to pay for it despite the high 36€ price given we hadn’t noticed their mistake). The second night was even worse: there was a plate I didn’t like and only ate half (I shared my opinion to the waiter) - they still charged it, and then made two mistakes on the bill which we luckily noticed.

• Dora (10/5): Incredible place, in a very peaceful location - The staff was super attentive. The room was incredibly clean. They even left a small pet bed and 2 bowls for our dog! The shower was amazing, with great pressure and hot water. The breakfast buffet had lots of cheese, bread, fruit and amazing tortilla. The restaurant was impeccable. The location was stunning. Wifi in the room was a bit weak, but very strong in the living rooms.

It’s worth the drive to get there, but stay for t - it’s set in a beautiful location out in the countryside north of Barcelona. A very nice breakfast buffet and lots of places to sit outside to enjoy the grounds. There are no places to eat or drink beside the restaurant in the hotel, which was just so so. Bring your own snacks and drinks to enjoy on your private balcony or an outdoor area.

All very well kept. Our room was very big, dreamy, stylish and the views from the room were so great. We even had amazing balcony from our bathroom. The yard is also so so pretty and the pool veeery big. The area is THE place for relaxation -- so quiet - very unique place for relaxing. So beautiful green views. Recommended big time when needing to relax in beautiful surroundings. Spa was nice, sauna was very good (even for Finns like us :) and the pool is made from beautiful green marble but the space itself needs a bit of improvement. Half of the functions in the pool did not work. Also it would have been nice to get bathrobe and some extras like body lotion to the premises. The little touches would add luxury elements like the hotel itself has. The hotel is sooo well kept and pretty so I feel the spa would deserve to have a bit better quality too :). Not a bad spa, just tiny improvements needed.

• Jason (8/5): Lovely suite but translucent curtains could fool you - Location, size of the suite we stayed in. Parking was good. We stayed in Suite 107 which is at the front of the property. This was great, but the only problem being was the bathroom was directly above the reception, and the bathroom window had no heavy curtain to hide one’s privacy. If you stay in that suite, then mention to the staff that you want a proper curtain on the bathroom window and not some translucent curtain!
• Dominik (9/5): Superb - beautiful hotel to relax and unwind. the in-house restaurant has a well executed menu and a perfect lazy evening dinner choice without travelling far. *amazing* massages by Esperanza & Dolores - booked a second massage immediately after sobering up from the first - wow. pretty much disconnected from any outside influence- the nearest town is 15m by car. the dirt roads within the property itself will require a car wash.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - Although the hotel was pretty empty the staff that was there was very nice and made the stay memorable. Food was also very good and portions are quite large.
• Peter (10/5): Take a spectacular respite from the Costa Brava! - This is an ideal spot for some R&R in between one's sojourn about the hustle and bustle of the Costa Brava. Nearby Casa Anamaria is far enough inland to enjoy real seclusion. The new hotel is elegant with beautiful rooms and marvelous amenities. The Spa is located in a 17th-century adjacent building near the pool and tennis court. The food was excellent, i.e. lunch in the pool house, and dinner in the lovely dining room—a much appreciated relaxed atmosphere throughout.
• Charles (10/5): Heaven in Costa Brava - Fantastic location! Middle of country with gorgeous Vista.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place if you want to go and relax for a few days. We stayed for 2 nights spending the whole day at the hotel. We treated ourselves to a massage, lunch and a relax by the pool. The restaurant has excellent food! If you were to stay any longer than 2 nights I'd recommend a car or at least taking some bicycles. The area is a very pretty part of Catalonia great for walking/cycling or swimming in nearby lake Banyoles
• Verified traveler (8/5): - Loved the property. Manager Sara is a sweetheart and she made us feel welcome all along. Our dinner was spectacular. We loved the rooms and the views are stunning. One recommendation to the hotel would be to use real grass around the pool.
