• Simone (10/5): A very enjoyable stay - I throughly enjoyed my stay here- as I knew I would from the other great reviews. My room was very clean and cosy and had everything I needed. David and Rose were wonderful hosts- very helpful and friendly and had some great recommendations for the area. The train is a close walk connecting you to the city. I highly recommend Clydesdale Hotel. Thanks again Rose and David. -

Rose was incredibly kind—she waited for me even though I arrived after 8 pm, and gave me great tips about the area, including where to get breakfast the next morning. The room was spotless, warm, and super cosy—I honestly felt like I was at home. It was such a comfortable and welcoming experience. I also appreciated that I could reach out anytime as their contact info was available. Thank you, Rose (and husband), for the hospitality!

• Ryder (8/5): To sum up my stay in 3 words it would be, comfortable, calm and clean. - I liked how cozy and comfy the beds were. Davie and Rose were very polite and they made me feel very comfortable throughout my stay and I would like to thank them for their service. Accommodating for breakfast was hard as the hotel doesn’t provide breakfast.

• Richard (9/5): Good value for money and an excellent location . - Close proximity to the station so no trouble getting a train into Glasgow. Room and facilities were nice and clean and brilliant facilities to heat and prepare food that you had brought in. Honesty bar available if you required a drink with your meal. Absolutely perfect location if you wanted to visit Glasgow without the hassle of taking your car into the city , return fare on the train for seniors just £1.50 !! Nothing , would definitely recommend this location and facility if visiting the city.

Shower unit and shower could be updated, it worked perfectly just looked a bit tired!! I was on my own so bed and room were fine, had I been with my husband I would have preferred the choice of having a king size bed x

• Lukas (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, 5 minutes walk to Hamilton West train station. 20 minutes to Glasgow Central. The area was very quiet and there was no noise in the hotel either. If you are a sensitive sleeper I would 100% recommend this hotel. The owners were very friendly and helpful and keep the hotel clean. Restaurants and supermarkets nearby. If you are looking for a quiet and comfortable place to sleep in Hamilton or with good access to Glasgow Central I would highly recommend it.

• J (9/5): Very good priced accommodation in the outer Glasgow area, with enthusiastic owners. - No breakfast, but that is advertised in advance. However, the owners pointed me to a nearby cafe that did marvellous breakfasts. They also allowed takeaways to be taken into the hotel, and consumed in the dining area. There was a microwave there, and cutlery. Very helpful owners. Nothing!

Right next to Hamilton West train station, and travel to Glasgow is cheap, quick and far less hassle than driving in daily & paying for parking. Loads of free parking options near hotel, as I had to leave car for the day after checking out. Price was excellent as well - great value. N/A

• Larry (4/5): Disappointing - Not much to like about this place. The honesty bar is a good idea and closer to train stations for commute Room was very small. Bed was uncomfortable. Felt more like a hostel than hotel. If you're tall like me, you'd be displeased with this place. My legs couldn't fit on the bed and had to bend to use the shower. I think the owners of quite religious. Only opened the drawer to see a bible in it.

• Maya (9/5): A very good place to stay - The hotel was fine with all the facilities I needed. The owners were super: friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and quiet. The hotel was easy to get to and within an hour's drive of Edinburgh, Callander and Largs (the 3 places where I met friends); so the location was ideal for me. Onsite parking was much appreciated. I would be very happy to stay there again. The hotel did not provide breakfast, but the café they recommended was about 250 metres away and provided an excellent breakfast with friendly and efficient service. The bed was a little uncomfortable, but I only realised this on the 3rd night.

• Paul (2/5): Pictures look good but beware of the owners, they market as a hotel but dont behave like one. - nothing Owner charged me for linen that she claimed could not be cleaned, there was a few blood spots on the pillow and duvet cover. I don't think any hotel has ever charged me for for linen cleaning, I would say this is part of running any hotel. The property has the owners living there, and the upstairs rooms you can here every step of them moving around from 4.30 in the morning. I had to turn the volume on my TV up to mask the noise, then the owners complained about my noise. Very uncomfortable stay.
• Lascelle (9/5): Weekend stay with family - Vert friendly staff, I checked in very late at around 1230am and they were very understanding as I had my little one with me. would defo go back 😁 The only fault I could find was I found the mattress not the greatest to sleep on which was a spring mattress, but that is my personal preference

• Alex (1/5): Bad - Worst experience ever. I'm in the hotels at least 2 days a week. The owner of the hotel was disgusting, i was asked not to leave the hotel after 2 o'clock. They called the police to kick us out from the hotel for a simple reason that i was going out at 2. I never seen a hotel that won't allow theyr customers to go out. Of course police came and we didn't get kicked out at 2am cause they checked the cctv and i did nothing, i wasn't drunk i wasn't loud. Very disappointed by the owner, an old rude guy who is swearing and doesn't care about his business. He's acting like we are homeless and have no other place to stay m i'll never go again. Definitely worst experience ever!

• Christine (8/5): Beautiful People and a very Comfy Stay! - Wow Rose and Davie were absolutely lovely. I felt like I was home the whole time. They are so kind and so generous. Such lovely people with beautiful souls. I love entertainment....TV in the room was very small and not modern. I couldn't connect a chromecast so I could cast movies etc. However digital TV was available and my 10yr old was kept busy with pop TV ;-).
