Guest Reviews
- Derek (8/5): Good stay for the price, when compared to other stays this one lacked in decor. - Location and size of room were great. Pillows
- Lesley (9/5): -
- Elizabeth (9/5): Excellent- would definitely return. - The location was excellent- quiet, but walking distance to shops, restaurants etc. There was some water on the floor in the bathroom after rain several times.
- Janice (10/5): Perfect apartment opp Botanic gardens, very helpful staff. Marlene the receptionist was lovely. - Everything Nothing
- Karen (10/5): Would stay here again! - Beautiful ceiling! Price was reasonable. Nothing that I can think of.
- Barry (10/5): -
- Ben (10/5): Amazing Stay - Had the best showers, especially compared to others we experienced in Scotland. The facilities were great - included parking, which was nice and not far from Subway station really. Very friendly reception at the Hotel connected to it. Great price. Nothing.
- Katia (10/5): Struttura molto chic e pulita in una zona defilata e tranquilla - La pulizia e l’ordine Nulla
- Bruno (10/5): -
- stacy (10/5): - Everyone was so nice and helpful.
- Nadia (9/5): - The cutest kitchen ever 😍 It was mainly carpeted, and I'm just not a fan. That's a personal preference that diminished my experience.
- Jeff (10/5): Glasgow - Breakfast in .morning was awesome, location was ideal for sightseeing Nothing to not like !
- Catherine (8/5): Decent, well-located studio. - Well-located rooms, very convenient for Glasgow's west end and university. The full kitchen in the studio apartment is a bonus. Both the shower and the comfortable bed were excellent. Reception staff were accessible and pleasant. The TV didn't apparently work, and the bathroom could use a radiator to warm the room and dry towels. The room decor is perhaps little tired. Parking is free, but quite difficult to get to, and to get into, down a narrow cobbled alley.
- Cauchi (6/5): Comfortable and room for all - Good size for 3 adults The room was very smelly
Car park not easily accessed
- Heiko (9/5): Super zentrale Lage in Glasgow!
- Kirsten (8/5): Peaceful oasis - Beautiful location and lovely spacious room. Really appreciated the little kitchen too. Gorgeous big windows with a view over the river. Kitchen, while useful, could do with a few more implements and crockery.
- Brett (9/5): A lovely room with ensuite and kitchenette. Nearby supermarket very convenient. - Lovely location opposite the Botanical Gardens and just a bus ride away from major sites. Nothing
- Luise (8/5): -
- Georgia (9/5): - The room was HUGE which was a nice surprise. The room was comfortable and exactly what we needed for three nights in Glasgow. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed our stay. Great location in the West End
- Mandy (8/5): Ideal location - Great location, room was huge and had everything we needed and more. Bit noisy being close to the main door with people coming in at night and letting the door slam
- Robert (8/5): Enjoyable would stay here again - Very spacious and had everything I needed whilst working away Nothing bad to say
- Roko (10/5): -
- Jose (9/5): -
- thomas (10/5): - Staff are amazing..Room was brilliant. Breakfast was excellent. Value for money . Perfect location for Oran Mor. Nothing
- Raphaelle (7/5): Convenient, quiet and well located but apartment needs some love - Great hosts and very convenient apartment. It was really useful to have a kitchen to cook my own meals. Location directly behind botanical gardens was very quiet yet easy access to public transport with a bus stop just a few minutes walk and the nearest subway station about 10 minutes walk. I loved having the walking path along the river just outside the apartment. Lots of restaurants and stores nearby. Great value for money. The apartment (on the ground floor) smelled really strongly of some cleaning chemical and the smell remained all week I was there. The apartment would definitely deserve some love as several bits and pieces were falling apart (broken chair leg, broken soap dispensers, holes in walls, etc.). Sound insulation between apartments not the best.
- Conway (8/5): Loved my stay, if in Glasgow again I will stay here again - Location is easily accessible for all amenities, very peaceful location
Breakfast was lovely, good value for money
- Scott (7/5): -
- Coz (7/5): - NA room was cold, even with radiator..
- Emmanuel (1/5): Double charged for accommodation,non-cooperation with booking.com to resolve. In my view,AVOID. - Nothing.Charged twice for accomodation I didnt use/need.Uncooperative with attempts to obtain a refund. Will never use again. During booking there was a tech error/unsuccessful booking via booking.com (or so I thought).I tried it again and was successful the 2nd time.It was for a night with my 85 year old mum to attend a graduation in Glasgow. Before arrival the Manager in a call said both bookings apparently went through.I explained we only needed one and explained the circumstances.I was assured payment would only be taken for one booking and not the other.
However I ended up being charged twice: £124 for the reservation we used, £71 for the other one that we didnt need or use, despite making this clear prior to arrival.
Manager said it was a booking.com issue. I made 3 calls to booking.com on my return.Booking.com seemed willing to help with the refund and SENT a refund code to the hotel, but they denied receiving refund code. The hotel also refused to communicate in writing to booking.com to facilitate the refund of the double payment.I was played like a football between booking.com and the hotel.
The hotel marked me as a 'no-show' despite my mum and I turning up and staying on the more expensive reservation.
It has been a shocking experience and I would NEVER EVER use nor recommend these establishments in the future.
- Timothy (10/5): Very comfortable. -
- Charlotte (4/5): The location was great, and I felt safe, as a solo traveler. - The location was great, near the botanical gardens, bus stop, ease of getting in an out, near grocery store, helpful people in the neighborhood, and a general sense of safety when I walked outside. The apartment was clean. I felt deceived about the size of the apartment. The picture was very different than what I was given. When I reported this to the check in person, my complaint was dismissed. The space was a bit cramped. Apparently in Scotland, they do not provide wash cloths. The kitchen was sparse in that there were no paper towels, minimal cutlery, I would have preferred a hand held shower head, as the overhead one was difficult to use.
- Tracey (9/5): Amazing location, great room, great value highly recommend - The location is awesome, really great. near gardens and restaurants and subway. car park is tiny but good if you need it. the room was so spacious and we had a little baby in a travel cost and she loved the space in the room. it worked so well.the price was really good too. The stairs. ideally we would have had a down stairs room as the stairs were so so steep with a baby and cases was hard.
- Angelina (6/5): Great location near Kelvin river park. - Location, building was nice, size was good. The smell. Not sure what it was. Little things could have made it nicer. Maybe paper towels and salt and pepper considering there was a full kitchen. The fan was appreciated but it didn’t work properly.
- SUSAN (10/5): Very excited to book again - Amazing value for money and the studio room was amazing.
Very convenient location and having the car park was great
- Cheryl (10/5): Great location, highly recommend - The location of the property is great! We enjoyed being able to walk around locally, and having access to free car parking was an added bonus. Nothing!
- Daniel (10/5): Very satisfied. - Friendly, helpful staff. Great location. Only had towel service and cleaning one time in eight days.
At least one more visit would be nice.
- Glyn R (9/5): - We loved the location of the apartment,a stone throw away from the Botanic Gardens, and an easy 10 minute stroll to all the cafes, restaurants, shops and the subway on Byres Rd. We felt the apartment offered really good value for money - a lovely big room, with basic kitchen facilities, and parking on site - just what we needed on our two night stay in Glasgow.
- jamie (7/5): -
- duran peñaranda (10/5): -
- Annaleisa (7/5): Great. Thank you! - The room we had was nice and spacious. Our room included its own kitchen and bathroom facilities. Was a nice and cozy stay! Parking wasn’t great. It was paid parking, although it stated free parking on site. The parking area had 4 bays and was extremely tight to park in as they are all on angles. Not to mention a very tight alley way to get down in our vehicle.
- Debbie (9/5): -
- Siobhan (10/5): -
- Francesca (8/5): -
- Richard (10/5): Central and quiet. - Great location and good value. N/A
- Johana Mendoza (10/5): - Ubicacion perfecta, esta cerca de la universidad de glasgow.
La habitación muy amplia con todos los servicios.
- Heather (10/5): -
- donald (10/5): -
- Milada (9/5): -
- Ian (10/5): Lovely well maintained apartments - Brilliant apartment. Catered for a party of 3 no problem. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again Nothing to not like
- Laszlo (7/5): -
- Seun Phillips (9/5): - I like the facility providing me with cooking access in addition to other standard hotel services The location is good for my purpose and the set up was practical for me as well.
- Rembrandt (9/5): - Great accomodation at a great location, friendly and helpful staff Parking space in private parking was tight and difficult to reach
- Lisa (10/5): Wonderful stay - Our apartment was spacious, welcoming and wonderfully located. I met 2 cleaners, a chap on the welcome desk as we arrived and a woman as we handed in keys. All were friendly and pleasant. Our apartment was clean and well stocked, the bed was comfy, clean and warm. There was nothing I didn't like!
- Estelle (10/5): -
- Patricia (9/5): Great Studio Appartment. - The studio appartment was very comfortable and very well equiped and in a quiet area with some shops very nearby and cafes. Easy to access central Glasgow from here. The extra blankets were stained when I took them from the wardrobe which was disappointing.
- Anneka (10/5): Loved our stay, sanctuary in the middle of a busy city. - It was very clean, lovely staff and central to where we want to be Nothing to mention
- Cathy (9/5): Great base to explore the city. - Great location. Very comfortable apartment. Excellent shower. The only thing that was a little tricky was parking. A very tight space - but of course better than paying for parking elsewhere!
- Di Stefano (8/5): - Location Price
- Wayne (10/5): - The room was en suite and even had a lil kitchen if I was staying longer I would of used the kitchen I forgot about the breakfast so I didn’t use it 😅 but for £118 so central I was shocked compared to other cities I’ve visited I’ve been charged far more for less tbh
- Nathalie (9/5): - Boa localização, limpo, roupas de cama e banho boas,, cozinha muito equipada, fácil check-in com atendente atencioso. Excelente aquecimento. Chuveiro perfeito. Péssimo colchão.
- Samuel (8/5): Comfortable, clean and in a great location. - Large room and bed, clean and warm. Breakfast was awesome and staff friendly. The toilet was situated too close to the shower which meant sitting at an awkward angle. The soap dispensers kept falling apart.
- Carolyn (8/5): -
- David 501 (10/5): - Free parking around the back, big space rooms.
- Rohit (10/5): - Excellent location. A very comfortable room, we opted for 3 beds for three of us. Good kitchenette and bathroom. Excellent location, a few steps to the river and the beautiful botanical garden, leading to the iconic Glasgow University at a walking distance. We got free parking there too.
- Redgrave (8/5): -
- William (8/5): -
- Cynthia (10/5): We only had one night here but it was fantastic for our needs. - Nice and clean
- Skippy61 (9/5): Lovely apartment, in great location. - Excellent location, well equipped apartment, comfy beds and very friendly staff. Nothing
- Helen (8/5): Lovely stay .it’s very quiet - The Location !! Husband says lack of hooks on doors for coats towels etc
- John (8/5): Great location - Great location, friendly staff, clean, comfortable bed, adequate facilities Room was dark almost like a basement, great that it had free parking but very tight and a nightmare lane to get to it
- Tracy (8/5): Beautiful apartment and area - The apartment was huge and for the most part very clean. It had a big bay window facing the botanical gardens and we were able to open the big windows to let in some fresh air which is often not the case with hotels and apartments when travelling.
Bathroom was good with a walk in shower and the best water pressure we’ve had in the 3 weeks we’ve been travelling!
Bed and pillows were not as comfortable as I’d like, but that is just personal preference. I took the doona out of the cover as it was too hot for me and it either needs to be laundered or replaced, so slightly disappointed in the state of that.
The apartment was on the second floor and there is no lift, so that might be an issue for some, but we were ok.
We had breakfast next door in the hotel, and it was limited, but adequate and the hot food was cooked to order by the lovely man at the front desk who seems to do everything.
There were many restaurants within a short 10-20 minutes walk. We were recommended to a really nice one by the concierge called Stravaigin which was absolutely sensational!
Overall our stay here was really lovely, just need to lift the standards with the bedding for the future, but that may just me being fussy. Doona on the bed needed cleaning or replacing.
- Judith (9/5): The rooms were spacious and quiet. There was free parking but it is down a very small lane and tricky to negotiate. No l - Spacious room. Car parking was tight and tricky - the front door was difficult to open and I hurt my hand badly.
- Matthew (10/5): Great location - Great, efficient staff, parking available but limited, rooms a bit dated but fone, great location for the west end
- Walker (10/5): Highly recommend - Location to Glasgow Nuffield Hospital & University
Parking was easy
Studio apartment, spacious, clean and comfortable
Ease of check-in/ checkout, warm welcome on arrival
- Lucia_F (8/5): - Good position, close to Glasgow Botanic Garden and 10 minutes away from the subway.
Room size We checked in late and we were not told the park location until the next day
- Andy (7/5): Enjoyable experience - Location staff very helpful bed was very comfy and shower excellent Kitchen very basic very few utensils
- Mario (9/5): -
- ArturoG88 (10/5): Amazing place for our Glsgow stay - Room space and Deco, Cleanliness Bathroom sink was unconfortable.
- Stefano (9/5): Comodo e accogliente - Struttura accogliente e comoda con parcheggio gratuito bus vicini per il centro e spazio carino all’esterno. Nelle vicinanze un supermercato
- Sarah (10/5): This is the best place to stay in Glasgow. The apartments are so spacious, well equipped and the beds incredibly comfort - It was so clean, the room was so big, comfortable and spacious. Beds amazing
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ping (10/5): Exceptional - excellent location, brilliant helpful staff (Gabriel ), clean apartment, convenient yet quiet residential place. Tin opener is so antique! Please try to buy pull tin food.
- Alexey (9/5): Superb -
- Bhuva (9/5): Great location. Great service. Good rooms - Friendly and helpful host/reception
- Naz (7/5): Good -
- Nicolas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (8/5): Very good -
- Mike (8/5): Terrific location, comfy and great value. - Loved the location and the ability to walk to the subway and local shops, pubs, and restaurants. Coming from Australia, parking is never an issue. But here we had to squeeze into a very tight spot round the back of the apartments in an alley and on first night nothing was available. To UK residents this is probably normal.
- Irene (9/5): Two Chums Just Chillin! - Basic - Clean - Comfortable - Great Beds - Quiet - Easy Access to Shops & Eateries - Subway to City Centre. Nothing
- Imran (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was excellent...
- Yolanda (8/5): Very good but it could have been excellent if we didn't have to move apartments. Receptionists great - We love the second apartment. It had twin beds which is what we booked it for. The first apartment. It had a double bed which we didn't book.
- Jia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aisling (8/5): Very good -
- Catherine (10/5): Great staff and fabulous breakfast. - Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. A good hearty, tasty Scottish breakfast providing everything you required. Everything was great.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location, but ground floor unit not safe? - Location is walkable to Kelvin Town. Limited free parking is available on site. We stayed on the ground floor which is not too safe if the window is open. Passerbys kept looking into our apartment, and they can climb into our unit through the open window. Toilet and kitchen facilities are good. Bed is comfortable. Location is not bad. Front counter lady juggles a lot of work by herself.
- Milada (10/5): Exceptional - I really liked the nice lady at reception in next door hotel. She was very kind and help with any questions we had (shopping, post office…) Thank you!
- Emy (10/5): Amazing - Very friendly staff, great value for the price. The kitchen and bathroom were clean and the bed comfortable. We'd have like a couple more lids for the pans cause there was only one, and it took us a minute to realise the fridge was off. A notice for this would've been nice, but certainly wasn't a requirement.
