Guest Reviews
- Victor (10/5): - The office was open and staffed, the staff was friendly, and competent. Check in went smoothly, The room is clean, tidy, and quiet.
- Donald (2/5): - Checked in at 3:05. Opened the door to a dirty room. Cleaning staff was nearby in another room. Told them I'd leave my stuff anyways as I had places to be
Got back to the room at 1am went to sleep.
Woke up at 8, went to shower and no soap/shampoo. Went to check out and was given a reciept that was $13 higher than Expedia stated . Was told they couldn't fix it because it was Expedia and I should have told them yesterday I wasn't happy as they were charging $169 a night and could have used my room.
- Sara (10/5): - N/A
- MIKE (10/5): - super convenient to blossom
- Michael (8/5): - Clean rooms, safe area. Old style motel.
- Kim (8/5): - What we needed for one night in Stow , due to it's proximity to Blossom Music Center. We were comfortable , and I thoroughly enjoyed the deep bathtub with slanted back. A luxury. Easy ,pleasant check-in.We were able to Uber back and forth to Blossom, though we waited about an hour after show for service. Lots of restaurants nearby. WE drove over to Cuyahoga Natl Park, after check out , and walked to Brandywine close by.
- Amber (8/5): - The owner was very nice and accommodating. They are in the process of updating the rooms. Bed was comfortable, room was clean but did have a slight odor. Great location for Cuyahoga National Park and Blossom Music Center.
- jeremy (10/5): - I like this place a lot. Its small and quiet. All rooms are on the ground floor. The rooms are nice and clean. Very close to Blossom music center, whice is the reason i stayed here. Plenty of restaurants in the vicinity.
- Shane (2/5): Worst motel ever - Absolutely horrible. The floors were so greasy I nearly slipped when I walked in. The room smelled bad and cigarette burns in the blanket.
- Rinay (10/5): - Nice place to stay.
- Frank (8/5): Bedding - Top sheet was small and blanket was too light so I was not well covered and felt cold at night.
- Stuart (6/5): - Our issue was timing. Arrived in the middle of a deep clean most of the furniture was out of the rooms and being scrubbed down. Everyone seemed distracted. It was a lot of busy activity and noise. I’m sure it will be ship shape by week’s end.
- Kevin (8/5): - For what you pay for, it works great. It's a perfectly fine budget motel. If you are a solo traveler looking for a clean, cheap place to stay it is perfect. If you are looking to bring a spouse for a romantic getaway, I might suggest looking somewhere else. No complaints, Would recommend
- Raechel (10/5): - Great location if you’re going to blossom.
- Aimee (10/5): - Everything was neat and clean. Easy access to restaurants to eat at.
- George (10/5): - Friendley staff, excellent value
- Meghan Eileen (6/5): - At this price point it’s what you would expect. But overall cost to value a worthwhile place to stay.
- George (10/5): - Friendly staff, excellent value.
- Verified traveler (6/5): You get what you pay for - Bathroom was updated. The rest of the room not so much. Very outdated. Carpet felt dirty. The bedding had been holes.
- bernadetter37 (8/5): Clean Reasonable Motel - Very clean, reasonable motel. Older, convenient to highways. Monica very accomodating. Parking in front of the room and an ADA room helped our stay. Housekeeping very responsive. Minifridge and micro in the room, no coffee pot but welcome to bring your own.
- Daniel (4/5): Look for another option - Location was good but service was not. One example that stands out is having to request towels and garbage removal as our room was missed by housekeeping during the day.
- Wendy (8/5): - Outdated, but clean. Our room was hot and the ac didn’t work well, but they switched rooms for us.
- David (10/5): - The room was exceptionally clean, and smelled clean. Reception was kind and polite allowing us to check in a bit early. Location is great and very close to many restaurants.
- Matthew (10/5): - Stayed here for the Mumford & Sons concert at Blossom.
Wasn’t the fanciest, but was clean and comfortable.
Would stay here again .
- Michael (2/5): - Clean room and property
Inadequate electrical outlets poor wir
- Phillip (10/5): - Had a great stay before my concert
- PETER (8/5): - Few things - price , location , quietness, shopping stores and restaurants around .
- Michelle (10/5): - stayed here for a concert at blossom. it was close by and the room was very clean and spacious. I would definitely stay here again. it was a great deal for what you are paying, and the location was great for the show.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Stayed 1 night, it was awesome!
Definitely would stay again!!
- Brian (10/5): - Convenience
- Matthew (4/5): - Super old and outdated.
Matresses are atrocious.
Breakfest was a honey bun.lol
Thats what you get for 91 dollars.
- Jean (10/5): - Monica from the front desk is wonderful! She went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay at this location.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Thanks a Bunch - We stay for my husbands bad knee and it is Always a great stay.
- Sharon (8/5): Akron weekend - It is easy to get to, you can park right outside your door , that is a big plus. comfortable and clean. near lots of places to eat , shop etc.
- Amanda (8/5): - It was a very nice room very clean and well kept
- MIGUEL ANGEL (6/5): - La habitación tenía un sillón que estaba sucio y raído.
El desayuno era en la recepción, sin sillas ni mesa.
La cama era cómoda.
El baño estaba en orden.
- Amanda (8/5): - Room was very clean.
- Donna (8/5): - A clean, basic motel for a stop on a long trip. Food and gas nearby.
- mike (2/5): - Smelled like smoke and mold
- Donald (10/5): - Everything you could ever want to eat is a stone's throw away.
- David (10/5): - This was a perfect for me as I was working nearby. It was an economical option and there were many places to eat very nearby - which was nice after a long day. The staff here was very friendly and helpful.
- James (10/5): Staff goes the extra mile - Whether turning bad roads got horrible(white out conditions) man running place was a god sent welcoming and a joy to talk to even checked in on me in the morning,
- Cheryl (10/5): - Nice place for the money, me and my honey soaked in jacuzzi tub and relaxed, room was clean loved it jad a separate shower and toliet
- Leanna (6/5): - The price was great, the room was very clean, but the room was a little beat up.
- Derek (10/5): - This place is great. It’s always clean and smells very nice. The jacuzzi rooms do have a couple different layouts but 125 is the best one I’d say. Staff seems to be a family and they are very very nice. They offer you refreshments at check in and convenient (Name Brand) continental quick bite options. Muffins and Honey Buns are a few along with fresh coffee. It’s very clean and I don’t go to sleep fearing of any bugs or nasty stained sheets. They take very good care of the property! It looks nice inside and out.
- Derek (10/5): - Very clean no visible dirt or critters. Updated and the jacuzzi room is nice. Didn’t smell like smoke at all. Would stay here again.
- James (8/5): - Clean rooms, fair price, close to eatery's
- Jason (10/5): - It was good for the price
- Cathy (10/5): Clean and quiet - I stay at this hotel twice a year when I come into town. I choose to stay here because it is clean and comfortable. The oversized soaking tub is a major plus and it is very clean. The guest services staff are very nice and accomodating. The Economy Inn is quiet and in a safe neighborhood, and the price is a good value.
- Jacob (8/5): - Everything is close by
- Rodney (10/5): - Close to Blossoms
- Beth L (6/5): - We were there for a concert. ok, not modern. We got what we paid for. would stay again.
- Jo Anne (6/5): - It was economical and clean. No frills. Holes in the cover on the bed. Easy chair had metal edges protruding. Close to restaurants and sites I wanted to see. One serious issue for me was I tried calling numerous times to see if recent rain had flooded the hotel or roads because news reports were reporting floods. No one ever answered the phone. I ended up calling the National Park who did answer my questions. Would not stay there again.
- Neal (10/5): - Great stop on the way to Michigan. Clean room. Hotel was close to a fun walkable neighborhood full of bars and restaurants.
- Carol (4/5): - This place has people sitting outside in lawn chairs. Rooms reeked of cigarette smoke
- R P (8/5): Not bad little place - Not bad little place. Clean, pretty quiet, close to some fast food places. Only complaint was not enough towels. Bed cover had burn holes in it, and no blankets
- Steven (6/5): The Basics - Staff was friendly. Check-in was easy enough. This was a motel with the windows opening out to the parking lot. It’s not central air. The furniture was mismatched broken in some places on the trim somewhat of a junkie room to be honest.
- Lenin (10/5): - Nice
- Linda (10/5): - Everything was great!
- Tristan (10/5): - Great location
- Lori (8/5): - Price was right for what we needed… clean affordable place to sleep after a concert at blossom … nothing fancy but reasonable
- Ronald (8/5): - Was a nice stay
- Thomas (8/5): - This was much better then expected
- Shirley (10/5): - We have been treated very well by all motel staff from start to finish and are very happy with our stay and will come again when we are in the Akron area thank you
- tree (6/5): - First, I wasn't sure if anyone was working there because there was a sign on the door to ring the bell. I rang, but nobody came to the door or buzzed me in. Finally, I just pulled on the door and it opened. There was a guy sitting at the counter, he was non-chalant, just there doing his job, not being personable, just getting the key, saying the room #, and that's it.
The room smelled horrible, smoke permeated from the walls, the ceiling, the bedspread, and especially that filthy carpet. There was a cigarette burn on the air-conditioniner. I didn't make a deal out of any of it because I had decided that I would change my clothes, go do what I needed to do, come back and go to another hotel.
Another thing I didn't like was how folks were loitering around with their doors opened. This made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. I was grateful that my friend was with me when I got there because if I was by myself, as soon as I walked in, I would've walked out, but we were going somewhere, so I had to shower and change my clothes.
Speaking of showers... The bathroom was the best part of the room. The tub was big and a the room was nicely tiled.
This place just reminded me of where people come to do drugs, smoke, and hook up.
I did not stay the night!
It's time for a makeover!
- Molly (10/5): Great stay - The stay was great! The room was super clean, the beds were really comfortable, they had a big bathtub which was nice! The lady at the desk was friendly too
- Kyla (10/5): I recommend - Perfect little local place for our one night stay after a Concert at the Blossom Center. Def recommend
- PETER (10/5): - Great location, close to my event in Akron.
- chiowvu (4/5): Get what you pay for - We needed a place to stay while attending a concert and this place had a decent rate. We didn't need anything fancy just a bed and a shower but I would have appreciated one that didn't make me uncomfortable. The pillows were like sleeping on bricks and the mattress was like laying on cement slab. The shower took almost 10-15 minutes to have any type of warm water not even hot. The mini fridge had what loomed like mold in it.
Only plus was could not beat the location to Blossom Music Center.
- Ken (10/5): Great place to stay - Great to stay at. Very friendly staff. Have stayed there many times and always enjoyed the hospitality.
- Jon (10/5): - We chose the location because of the price. The motel is an older property, but the motel was clean, quiet, safe, and nicely remodeled. The hotel staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful, especially if you speak a little Hindi and Spanish. If you want to save some money and not fork out the ridiculous money hotels are charging since 2020, then I highly recommend this motel!
- Bobbie (4/5): - No hot water
- Nelson (8/5): - Would stay again pretty easy access !
- Russell (2/5): - They need to get rid of those disrespectful house keepers.
- Russell (2/5): - The motel is very basic. But the problem i ran into was the maids. They have an illegal immigrant couple who don't speak English. They're terrible.
- Tara (4/5): - I didn’t get the room I signed up for but gave me 5 dollars off. The toilet didn’t work and a light didn’t work. The ice machine didn’t work either. The roll away bed was awful. I guess it was ok for one night
- Tien (8/5): - The area around is a little urban. The rooms are very well maintained and look clean.
- Waymon (8/5): A pleasant stay. - check-in was easy. The room was clean and comfortable. No major issues with the stay. My only issues are that only one half of two separate duplex receptacles were usable and the soap provided is very poor. The location is very good and easy to enter and exit. I wouid stay again at this Economy Inn.
- Angela (6/5): - I just needed a place to sleep for the night, so it worked fine. Check in was simple and quick, staff not overly talkative, just to the point. Shower was nice, room was basic. Would have preferred having an additional lock on the door, but that is just my preference. I arrived after dark, very little lighting in the parking lot, but plenty of spaces. Breakfast was a coffee or juice and prepackaged muffins or bear claws. The place was fine, just overpriced for a motel, IMO.
- Madhusudhan (2/5): Room Smells Terrible, No Breakfast - Terrible place to spend even one night. Room smells bad. Refrigerator won’t work effectively and smells bad. I put my food and soda cans in the refrigerator overnight and by the morning they all smelled and food was spoiled, even the soda taste changed it was terrible. Breakfast wasn’t provided although it was advertised as free breakfast available.
- richard (10/5): - The room was huge and clean the bed was really comfy and it was located in a great space
- Lee Ann (8/5): - Our room was clean and the king size bed was very comfortable.
- Lisa (10/5): - .
- Jeremey (6/5): - Had to wait a bit to check in and out.
- Kathleen (8/5): - Room smelled a little funny, like an odd cleaner or something. Overall was clean and quiet. Good for a bed and shower. The woman who did check-in and check-out was very friendly.
- Paula (6/5): - The room was clean. The parking lot was very bright! The Jacuzzi tub was nice. The pillows were some of the thickest, firmist pillows I have ever seen. The room was in need of repairs. The towel racks were falling of the wall and I don't think the shower had any cold water. But there was plenty of hot water for the tub!! The tub clean too. (I ran a clean cycle before we used it.) It was convenient to Cuyahoga National Park. I would stay here again.
- Ericka (6/5): - The AC did not work and kept cutting off. Also the refrigerator has a loud buzzing noise that would not stop.
- Rebecca (8/5): - We really enjoyed our stay. It was very close to Blossom Music Center that we attended for a concert.
- Cammi (8/5): - Not too bad for a one night stay. Staff was friendly.
- Jasmine (10/5): Always a good anniversary - We stay here 2-3 times a year and we were impressed with room 125
Room upgrades definitely noticed
Very private room
Thanks again for the hospitality
We will be back
- Staci (10/5): - It's a little dated, but the property and room were clean and well maintained. Front desk lady was very friendly. Breakfast is packaged muffins and such (which is stated in the description), and a nice selection was provided. We only stayed one night, but was pleased with the value for the amount we paid. I would definitely stay here again. It's also very convenient to Blossom Music Center.
- Amy (8/5): - Clean, large room with microwave, mini fridge, updated bathroom….
And to our great delight, reading lights on both sides of the bed. Lots of TV channels. Breakfast minimal…..only hot drink was caffeinated coffee and only packaged muffins and pastries to eat.
- redtwizzler1943 (8/5): A really good deal for this area - Large, clean room with updated bathroom, microwave and mini fridge……and our personal favorite, reading lights on either side of the bed. Very convenient to the Ohio Turnpike/I 80. The only disappointment was the breakfast, which was just apple juice, caffeinated coffee, and packaged muffins and pastries. The best deal we could find in the area, and absolutely no complaints with the room.
- DetroitBarbara (4/5): You get what you pay for. - Inexpensive but you get what you pay for. The room was clean. The furniture was newish but bargain box store quality. Breakfast included is advertised but a more accurate description would be breakfast snack. Coffee, juice (from a large bottle not individual bottles) and wrapped muffins/rolls are available in what is called "the Office." The office space is about as large as a good size walk in closet with no place to eat the "breakfast."
The room did have a TV, a small refrigerator and a small microwave (which didn't work very well) but that is the extent of the amenities. There is a desk like table but no electrical outlet anywhere near if you need to plug in a laptop or other device. Two flimsy, wrapped cups were provided but you could not use them in the microwave or for a heated beverage. There was a hair dryer which we didn't use because all the electrical outlets near the sink did not function. The office was advised of the problem and said they would take care of the problem but they didn't. If you wanted to use an electric razor you would have to sit on the floor and use a floor level outlet. You have to have your own plug in charging cord with a standard electrical outlet plug if you want to charge your phone. The rather common clock radio was not provided so bring your own alarm device.
There was a large, deep tub in the bathroom that looked good for soaking but there was no liquid soap in the bathroom and the tiny, tiny soap "bars" were difficult to use for hand washing let along a bath or shower. No shampoo was available.
Two face cloths, two hand towels and two smallish bath towels were provided but they were obviously old and worn. One face cloth provided appeared to be permanently stained.
The motel is located on a main road with lots of stores and restaurants nearby. Red Lobster, Dunkin Donuts and McDonalds are adjacent to the motel and just a few steps away so you can walk to them.
This appears to be an old motel that has been somewhat updated.
- Jason (8/5): - Rooms were clean and nice for the price. Nothing fancy, but good for a quiet night and close enough to restaurants to walk.
- Anna (2/5): - bedbugs
- Nicole (8/5): - For what you pay you cant really be to dissapointed. Breakfast included muffins and Honeybuns put out on the counter no juice or even coffee. Our room included the jacuzzi. No extra towels were provided. The pillows are rock hard and the bedding a bit itchy. Some improvements could be made everything is extremely outdated.
- Loren (10/5): - Very polite staff
- Bernadette (10/5): Extremely Clean and Convenient Motel - Extremely clean, simply decorated motel. Fridge and micro in spacious rooms. We had a problem with a worn blanket and the office immediately replaced and was very apologetic. Parking convenient and coffee in the morning in the office. Great 2 night stay. Thank you!
- Tawny (6/5): - No wifi. Very worn and dated. But ok for a one night, quick stay.
