Guest Reviews
- Janet (6/5): - No lift to rooms and lotsa stairs, took awhile to check in as staff had limited English
- Richard (10/5): - On the river part of the hotel was a historic twe
- SteveWCambridge (8/5): Nice place on the waterfront - We enjoyed our one night at the hotel. It's in a nice spot on the waterfront and we were lucky to have a room with a small balcony overlooking the river. The staff at reception were friendly, polite and helpful. Their parking garage is just round the corner and they give you a fob at reception to open it. If arriving by car you need to pull up outside the hotel first or, if it's busy, there are some spaces just past that worked for us.
- apop172616 (10/5): Lovely place - Lovely small hotel in a adorable little town.
Beautiful river view and 3 minutes walk from the central square.
L'hôtel et le personnel sont très agréables;
établissement à recommander
- PaulGraham99 (10/5): Good value hotel in excellent location - Clean basic room, serviced daily. Staff friendly and helpful - decent English spoken. Bed comfortable and duvet warm. Great location by river. On-street parking nearby was free in evenings and weekends.
My son and I wanted a no-frills base to explore Bordeaux and that's exactly what we got - at a very reasonable price.
- DavidofBas (10/5): Best for a stay and meal in Libpourne - We had a comfortable good size bedroom. The location is excellent facing the river and a short walk away from the main square and ‘high street’. The staff were excellent especially Sofia and the restaurant a real dining experience. Alexandre the chef creates great dishes. The sauce with the ouef en meurette was perfect and the ris de veau exquisite. Other choices that my wife had - carpaccio and the croquettes were also of a very high standard. Great place to stay and best place to eat. We also used the very secure garage round the corner for our car and bikes.
- annblack68 (10/5): Pretty hotel, beautiful restaurant - This is a lovely hotel in the beautiful town of Libourne. We arrived a little early for check in but the young man at reception was very helpful giving directions to the private parking and letting us in early. We opted to have their set menu for dinner and the food was superb. Very much dog friendly, we would love to stay again if in the area.
- Anne (10/5): - Excellent! Highly recommended, food, service, location, parking, etc... perfect!
- Florence (8/5): Bon séjour - séjour confortable, bon accueil.
- VALERIE (10/5): PARFAIT - RAS CORRECT
- mariasol (8/5): bien - sejour agreable.Accueil familiale.je recommande
- C&F (8/5): - Welcoming and helpful staff. We dined in restaurant food was excellent. Room comfortable with view of the river. Stay could have been improved as road traffic noise is a wee bit loud at certain times. AC unit also a wee bit noisy. Overall a pleasant stay and we would stay again.
- Peter (10/5): Outstanding hospitality - We stayed one night in the Hotel La Tour, which we enjoyed very much. Our spacious bedroom, No.1, has a lovely view over the river. The seafood restaurant is highly recommended, with an excellent house white wine (Tariquet), and breakfast was equally outstanding. The following morning we strolled into Libourne and sampled hot chocolate at Sohpie, an outstanding chocolatier in the square. The town musem and art gallery rounded off a highly enjoyable stop-over on our journey between Carcassonne and Normandy.
- Verified traveler (8/5): excellent location - Still as good as it was 10 years ago. Good menu and lovely room overlooking the river.
- Dominique (10/5): Comfortable, friendly hotel - The hotel is on the river and they are updating the paths along it so it's going to be even nicer. The staff was accommodating and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and reasonably priced. I was in the annex. Next to my room was one with twin beds - would be great for a family. They offer a breakfast buffet (at an additional cost), and it was quite good. Libourne is a nice little town, very walkable. And then you're close to a lot of fantastic vineyards. I would definitely stay here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Poor shower poor Beef Ingleton. 8 euro parking charge. On second floor. Difficult stair not as pleasant as our previous stays.
Ingen rolig stad.
- Corinne (8/5): Acceptable - Sans motif
- ANDREW (10/5): Superb dinner - merci chef! - Room absolutely fine, but the surprise and delight is the restaurant - dinner is superb, fresh local produce, interesting and creative flavours, and great value with good wine selections. I'd go there just for dinner, and madness not to if already staying in the hotel. The old port tower adds some interest, with secure bicycle storage in the cellar of said tower
- Keith (8/5): - Typical Logis, Ideal as One night stopover as location reasonable .Clean and tidy. Room a bit on small size.. Excellent restaurant. Service Good.
- Niels (8/5): Lovely hotel - Been here before and will sure stay again. Lovely romantic hotel on the riverbank almost
Chambre confortable.
- Niels (10/5): Excellent Hotel, surroundings and service. - absolutely a very recommendable Hotel in that part of France and they have an excellent restaurant
- Peter (8/5): - Lovely setting near the river, very good Restaurant, air con a bit noisy but worked, rooms a little tired, very good value or money
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good location, breakfast an additional 8 Euros - Great location. I was given a lovely room (7) with a view of the river. Breakfast is stated as one of the 'free services' in the room guide, however I was charged an additional 8 Euros for it and service was a little sketchy - cereal but no bowls, people had to ask for plates. Not a bad choice at all.
