Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (6/5): Won’t visit again - Not worth the price for us. Nothing too bad, nothing amazed us as well. Need some update and reno.
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Chiahaur (4/5): Not recommended - I do not recommend this hotel. First of all it is not really a hot spring resort, the service is poor, food is terrible, facility non-exist.... Very disappointed.
- pulmbubble (10/5): Nice hot spring resort - The resort is in the middle of now where, so it’s a good way to stay and relax and escape the city crowd. The front desk service was friendly and quick. The room was large with Swiss ate shower area and the hot siring area. The hot spring area was design by wood and rock. And it’s huge which good enough for 3 to 4 people. It’s only an hour from Taipei city. Great place to relax . Make sure get dinner and breakfast package for best relax. The room also have free mini bar includes drink and dessert.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Best getaway from Taipei - Huge room with your exclusive outdoor onsen in a garden! Extremely helpful front desk lady who helped me with all transportation bookings for sightseeing and transfer to Taipei City. One of the best getaway destination! Very reasonable price point with good value. Highly recommend!
- 74mua (4/5): It is not worth to spend higher budget. - We stayed the hotel 10th of Oct.,as a family tour, we ever travel to their group hotel which is south east of Taiwan 10 years ago which is really good. According to my contract I should have late night supper, we waited for while and call service, hotel staff reply us none of that now.Dinner place have 2 problems, one is air condition placement, the other is less staff cause very slow dinner. Room air condition very poor, either too noisy or not work goods. The price is not worth to stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): -
- Mark (10/5): Superb hotel which we strongly recommend - Excellent hotel - service was second to none but English was not understood perfectly at the restaurant meaning that despite asking not to have some things (I'm picky) I just got everything anyway. That was a bit irritating.
- SIN YEE (6/5): -
- Tsz Yat (8/5):
- sweeetkiwikisses (6/5): Way too expensive! - This is a beautiful hotel. I stayed in the bottom floor where we get hot spring tub in the room and a private one outside. I enjoyed my stay here. I enjoyed the view. I enjoyed the clean room. I enjoyed getting naked in the outdoor tub, it felt good and free haha.
However, it is a REALLY FAR drive from Taipei. And the rooms are EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE (no joke!!!!), unless you go during summer months and it's on steep discounts.
The value isn't worth it. I would save the money you spend here, fly to Japan and enjoy the countryside hot spring hotel there, instead of Tsuwu.
- WTisSearching (8/5): Good - A fair bit of a drive out of Taipei but the hotel provides a 2-way shuttle at NTD200 per person. It was just a little difficult locating the pickup point at the Taipei Nangang station. Overall a very pleasant stay.
- Lovenys (8/5): A good stay with hot spring bath - This is a boutique hotel. Scenic and quiet, distant from downtown Taipei. Hot spring tubs are beautifully made with glass mosaics.
We visited during Chinese New Year so paid for a marked up rate. The stay included dinner and breakfast buffets which were both delicious. The hot spring quality is decent. Wish the service were better; staff members didn’t show much smiles to us.
- helloaloha11 (8/5): Lovely hotel with hot spring -
1. There is a hot spring tub in your room so it is more privacy and you can see a mountain view.
2. Comfortable bed and room is quite big.
3. Cozy bathroom
4. Staff were professional but barely speak English and they don’t really want to try except one guy who tried to speak English. As a reason, the staff didn’t seem to care Non-Chinese speaking guests much.
5. Breakfast and Dinner were great. There were many choices.
6. They really need to clean windows as they are so dirty and quite ruin the view.
7. Nothing much to do, see and eat around here.
- AsianPeregrinator (8/5): Lovely hotel - Quiet ambience with very helpful staff located within the Yangminshan mountain. The room faces the mountain, gorgeous view, good amenities with a personal hot spring tub in the room for the shy ones who may find it odd to be naked with strangers. Food is good with a good selection. An overall good experience. A very relaxing good stay.
- HHTsai (6/5): Not really worth for the money - Rather small hotel and located inside a developed estate where there are numerous residents actually living there. It was a weird sensation to see their households not far away through the hotel window. Seeing the poor view had me felt we weren't there for a vocation.
- TwinkleStar1818 (10/5): Nice boutique hotel for zen moments - When we first reached the hotel, we were welcomed by the warm hospitality of the reception staff who processed our check-in promptly. A lady then brought the group of us to our rooms, showing and explaining the amenities within the hotel.
As we went directly from the airport, we did not have lunch and were busy looking around for food. The top level restaurant offers high tea sets which we ordered one for 6 of us to share and also ordered separate drinks. the high tea set was very sumptuous, there were cakes, buns, and burgers.. it was enough to last us till dinner time at 6pm.
The dinner at the top level restaurant was more of a fusion cuisine, mix of chinese and western food. Our dinner set was included in the package we got from our travel agent. The 10-course dinner was a bit too much for small eaters like us, so we had to even ask the waitresses to bring back 2 sets of untouched items so that the food wont be wasted. The quailty of food is great, though it was not really what we like to eat usually. Service was good.
Breakfast is as what the other travellers had taken and mentioned. Good for the young and the old. Ingredients was fresh. There wasnt any leftover dishes from the dinner the night before, unlike what one of the traveller suspected.
The private hotspring and public hotspring were great. Overall, this is a hotel that we will choose to stay again.
Do note that even though this hotel is in a residential area, but the nearby houses were empty when we were there, and we suspected it was either a weekend or holiday homes to the local, hence the overall environment was very quiet.
- Travelbug1867 (6/5): Nice Boutique Spa - We booked this spa after working very hard for 4 weeks in Taiwan, we thought it would be a relaxing treat and expected outdoor hot springs. We were a bit disappointed by the indoor hot springs. For the females, sorry, I cannot comment on the male section, it was three ceramic, shallow pools and a sauna which you could not wear clothing in. This really made no sense to us as it was indoor and very small. The hot springs were not very hot and the small, claustrophobic space did not really provide a relaxing atmosphere. The hotel is in a busy area, there are buildings all around and most look into your room. Our package included breakfast and dinner, which were very good. The breakfast is a buffet, and included many items from the previous nights dinner, but made to look like they were different items. They still tasted good. The dinner was superior. The owner and the chef went above and beyond for our group of 6. The room was very nice, with minimal furnishing but included your own private hot spring tub, which I did use and found relaxing. I would stay here for the food and the decent price but go down the street to the Ten Laui Resort Spa, which has outdoor hot springs where you can wear your bathing suit.
- CeliaL863 (8/5): Worthy of taking 2 hours from airport to hotel by car - The breakfast room with music and lighting carefully designed is how I feel.
I am able to get some me time by just sitting near the window and do nothing.
The service team remembers I need vegetarian food for the trip. So warm at heart. (See photos for the non meat food tags at the bfast buffet & the 6-course dinner)
Read a brochure at the front desk that there are 2 more resorts under the same group - one feature chocolate & the other one in villa style. Would plan to pay visits.
Thanks for the chocolate treat inside the guestroom. But a bit disappointed to find out you dont have them in stock for sale...
- ChuiYi (8/5): nice outdoor hotspring - as some other reviews indicated, the hotel is not remotely located and it is surrounded by some other buildings, tho it didn't bother me much. 12 of us booked the 4 rooms with both private hot springs in room and outdoor. We needed to open a door and walk a short path to get to the outdoor hotspring made of stone, it is not much scenic as we could only see tree branches. But they provided complimentary drinks and ice cream in the fridge, which we enjoyed during hotspring.
Room was spacious, facilities and amenities not one of the best but adequate. We had dinner there, food acceptable given we didn't hv much choice on the mountain. Breakfast choices not too many but adequate, while the breakfast room on the top floor is quite scenic.
- gcyw (8/5): Comfortable Hotspring Hotel - This hotel is located in Yangmingshan, one hour’s drive from Taipei, only minutes from Taiwan’s Pacific coast. It is located beside a wooded ravine. The hotel is one year old. The hotel’s décor is functional, has 3 floors, two restaurants and a spa which is rather crampy. The roof top restaurant has scenic view of the shoreline and mountains and serves breakfast and included dinners. Food is average but acceptable. There are public hotsprings for the first and second floor hotel rooms. Our room in the ground floor is spacious and has a hotspring tub inside the room and an outdoor hotspring tub among the woods. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel because firstly the room and outdoor hotspring tub is very comfortable; secondly the hotel is located only minutes from the shore with fishing villages, seafood restaurants, Yeliu geological park and Ginshan old street. I recommend this hotel to those who enjoy hotsprings.
- TheLittleGardener (10/5): Tsuwu hot spring - a relaxing experience - Tsuwu gives you exactly the feel of being in a place with mist. This is the first time we've been to the hotel and the surrounding area. The hotel room looks similar as we saw in the website, relaxing, clean and with personality. The hotel picked us up at tai pei city and dropped us at Kam Shan Old Street for a few hours touring around. The driver was nice and helpful, he delivered our luggage directly to the hotel, saving us to tour around with our luggage. The hotel offered discount spa and massage, we enjoyed an hour of professional massage service.
The dinner was amazing, we tried the traditional one and the vegetarian, we all enjoyed a great dinner at the dining room. The next day, they delivered us to a place nearby named 八煙聚落, an eco village, which was a place you cannot miss, we saw tadpoles and eggs in the pond, farmers working in the field. The last thing about Tsuwu is the hotspring, we tried both in the room and the public one, the water is clear and hot. In all, the staff is very helpful and I will come again next time.
- 407aileenh (10/5): A cozy accommodation with hot spring and scenic. - A cozy accommodation with hot spring and scenic, the staff gave us a cordial greeting, and the dining room is decorated with lots of book, room is big and the hot spring bathtub is quite big, too. Anyway, here is really an wonderful place for a short trip. BTW, there's a charged pick-up service!
