• Diana (8/5): Recent Stay at Melrose Beach Apartments - Our stay at Melrose Beach Apartments was very good; except for noise from the traffic. The unit faced the street and there was a lot of noise during most of the time. The unit was clean; beds were comfortable; and the staff friendly.

My Appartments was very clean and it was maintained throughout my stay. I must say the best thing about staying at Melrose Beach Appartments everything is with in walking distance! Food restaurant bank and the Beach my favorite foe an early morning swim. I highly recommend staying there.

• Vernette (10/5): - I enjoyed my stay. However the hotel is located near the main road so it gets a little noisy at nights with passing vehicles. The window needs to be upgraded. The room was quite clean. Will visit again.
• joshua (10/5): - I arrived late at night for a stay at The Sands right down the street, but I didn't want to spend the money for the all-inclusive resort for the first night, just to immediately go to bed and then leave to go sailing the next morning. So, I booked my first night at Melrose to save a couple hundred dollars. Melrose's rooms are more like small apartments than hotel rooms. It's not luxurious, but it's clean and I had zero issues, and it's equipped so that you could easily stay there for a while (kitchen, etc). I was very pleased with it--it's a ton of value for the money if you just need a good simple place to stay. I've stayed at everywhere from air-conditioned tents in the Sahara or little rural inns in the Himalayas, to the Westin St. Francis and the Waldorf-Astoria, and I don't think you'll do better than this place on an island near the beach for the price they charge.
• Janelle (8/5): Near the beach - This place is easy to find, close to a beautiful clean beach, and also close to a couple grocery stores and restaurants. It had a kitchen and the AC worked very well. There was some road noise through the night but nothing that kept us awake. Wifi worked but a little spotty. Pretty clean and in decent condition.
• Al (6/5): - The Property was clean and well maintained and centrally located, The Decor in the pictures did not match but not a big deal and the only thing would make it much better is new upgraded solid panel glass windows vs the old fashion luvars that allow noise to come in specially with lots of honking vehicles.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - The property is within walking distance to everything, beach is not far and is very nice. Rooms are clean, very basic. Downfall is the traffic out on the main road, very loud 24 hrs a day. Must keep all windows and doors closed to try to block it out.

Of course, being able to swim everyday in the ocean at back door of hotel was a plus. Staff very nice.

• Gary (8/5): - Great staff, it's very clean and easy to get to. We had a problem with the street noise and since we only stayed for 3 days, just accepted it. When we checked out, we mentioned it and they told us they would have put us in a room further from the street had they known we we having this problem. Very cooperative. Great location, only a few steps to the beach. supermarket is just down the street and no problem getting a bus or a cab. We would stay there again.

• Judith (8/5): Good Visit to Barbados - The hotel was in a very convenient area for us, close to restaurants and especially the beach. They could update a few of their appliances though. Service always given with a smile. Room was cleaned every day. Although an older hotel, the apartment was spacious enough for us. The balcony was great. However, we were close to the main street and traffic very very noisy through the day and most of the night.

• Yves (10/5): Best stay in Barbados. - I was pleasantly surprise by the level of service,care and diligence displayed by everyone at the hotel.The proximity to the beach was welcome especially my favourite bar at Crystal waters beach where it is a must to watch the glorious sunset at the end of a long afternoon swim.Accessible to bars,shops and restaurants not to mention the bohemian charms of St Lawrence Gap.I cannot recommend Melrose Apts enough.
