- Phet (Nina) (10/5): Nice little cozy lodge - We really enjoyed our stay, check in with Anne was a breeze! Rooms were spotless and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, we even got some cut up watermelon on arrival! This is one special lodge with such caring owners, would book again without hesitation. Town centre and Clarke's beach not too far. Thanks again Anne for a wonderful stay. Nga mihi.
- Monique (2/5): - The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and serviceable.
The bed was very comfortable. The thermometer on the hot water is out. All the hot taps get extremely hot and are quite dangerous. Have received burns from the shower water and will be left with scars once healed. Still treating the burns wounds 3 days later.
- Larry (3/5): - The bed was surprisingly comfortable. The unit was very dated and is not somewhere I would normally stay. I also feel the room rate was overpriced.
- Ashley (10/5): -
- Roseanne (8/5): -
- Eunice (3/5): Never ever going through Booking - Weather Too Expensive for the experience
- Kataraina (9/5): - Peace and quiet nice and cool has air conditioning and comfortable bed great night sleep...awesome hosts. For just an overnight stay it was algud,
- Beth (1/5): I would absolutely never go back. - It was available and close to where I needed to be. It had air con. First, the owner woke me up by banging on the window at 11pm on the first night, which had been added after booking, saying it was urgent. They told me I had to leave immediately because I had not paid. Even though I had paid for 2 nights a few days before arrival, I showed them evidence of that, I had offered to pay the extra night on arrival and a few times after, and had been told I could settle up the next morning just a few hours earlier, because they were still looking into it. I had to get dressed and pay despite all these points.
Second, on the final night the concrete factory over the road was running until very late (approx 1am was the last time I heard it) and was very loud in the bedroom. A phone app measured it at 65-85dB.
- Howard (8/5): - The neighbours heatpump was very noisy.
- ormshaw (9/5): - Clean and comfortable, aircin is great, especially in summer Shower a too low if you are tall.
- ALISON (10/5): - Absolutely wonderful hosts
- Nikayla (9/5): Beautiful stay! Will be coming back. Thank you to the owner, she was lovely & her dog was so friendly too! - Cute little unit & lovely woman who helped me & my baby settle in. Room was so comfortable & nice, had everything we needed. Great stay & will be coming back to stay again next time I’m in Waiuku. Nothing to dislike. All positives over here.

- David (8/5): Grateful for Waiuku Lodge stay - I had the ultimate most attentive warm welcome from our hostess at the end of a long challenging day. Anna was an exceptional hostess who made every possible effort to ensure our comfort and was always available to address matters and give the best service possible within the physical constraints of the property. Anna took every opportunity to communicate her commitment and promptly resolved any matter. Anna truly made the difference for my stay and never impinged on my privacy.
My unit was spotlessly clean, sound and comfortable at the rear of the property and the 3 rear units particularly are in a restful park-like enclosure with ample parking.
Plenty of great cafes and bars close by and all surrounded by a unique scenery and activities. Wifi limitations and minor repairs needed to kitchen appliance controls

- Johnny (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rick (3/5): Poor - Did not represent the photo shown in their photo in their profile
- Glenn (2/5): Be prepared to be shocked it is very poorly maintained best bet check air con filter - The person who Booked us in was lovely and helpful she went out of her way to make things better Booking.com needs to be at fault as well it needs to monitor what it is promoting Oh my god I had to clean out the air con filter it was disgusting the room is one of the oldest most poorly maintained rooms I have ever seen This place needs a major overhaul
- Blake (10/5): Awesome - Awesome staff, clean and great location Was all good
- Gabby (6/5): Owner was freindly, close to shops. Nice cafes to have breakfast. Just needs more comfortable beds - The owner of the motel was accomodating and left us fruit, muffins, milk and orange juice, plus wine. it was a nice touch. the single bed i slept in the first night was very uncomfortable. Also no instructions on how to use the tv.
- Anonymous (2/5): Very poor - The owner was friendly, but had a barking alsation dog at her side at all times, very intimidating. Very run down ans shappy, needs some major renovations, very 3rd world.
We found snails on the bathroom and bedroom walls.
Im pretty sure the sheets had been slept in.
- Anna (10/5): Thank you for the lovely welcome and ensuring our needs were met and we were comfortable. - Friendly reception and our room was private and quiet. There was a lovely area under a tree near our room which was very relaxing to sit under. We slept very well in a very comfy bed. Our stay was exactly what we needed after quite a long flight.
- Gabrielle (9/5): Superb - Clean, tidy and comfortable and the host was super friendly and helpful!
- Lofi (7/5): Good accommodation to stay if attending concert at Navigation Homes Stadium - We stayed here because it was close to Navigation Homes Stadium where we were attending a concert. Wonderful staff member rang to check in on us as we were checking in late and left our room open for us with lights on when we arrived which we appreciated. Ease of check in and check out was great as we also left early. Bed was very comfortable. Room very spacious. Coffee was great! Everything was fine for a nights stay for us.
- Courtney (9/5): Lovely getaway. - Host was so lovely. Nothing was a bother. Recommend staying!
- Colleen (9/5): Superb -
- Eric (8/5): Very good -
- Neroli (10/5): would absolutely stay again - the host was amazing, upgraded our room to a bigger one that suited us more

- Ulo’i (7/5): Thankf do - Convenience :-) The musty smell in the apartment .. could be cleaner
- Donna (10/5): Exceptional - The host was soo lovely and we should've booked an extra night
- Anne (8/5): All staff very helpful and generous with their time when we had a problem with our car -
- Jones (5/5): overall a good stay - Friendly staff and very convenient location. We were able to bring our little dog. The television is a bit old and the couch very uncomfortable. In the kitchen there was a hardly any cooking utensils.
- Alice (10/5): This was the perfect stay after a wedding day nearby. We slept like babies and couldn’t have asked for a better overnigh - Very comfy bed, clean property and grounded very accommodating owner! Nothing
- Harley (10/5): Exceptional - The owner was very nice and very helpful.
- Mateen (7/5): Good -
- Powar (7/5): Good -
- Björn (3/5): Okay for one night - Basic stuff is there. Very nice owners. Unit 2: It was very smelly, some spots were never cleaned. Only a few power outlets.
Coffee maker is missing.
- Jason (7/5): Good -
- Helen (9/5): Great stay, with friendly staff and the unit had all we needed and more. - Very accommodating and the unit had everything we needed with a couple of bonus items, such as the chocolates. Lovely hostess.
- Kirsty (10/5): Waiuku Lodge Motel - staff were so helpful and friendly went the extra mile to make our stay great, will definitely stay there again!
- Luenda (5/5): Though we came to no harm in this rather dated motel it could definitely do with refurbishing. - as expected we supplied our own breakfast. The motel was easy to locate on a fairly busy road. Because of its age windows were not double glazed & our unit was close to road so road noise somewhat intrusive. The host was most affable but as she is not the owner of the motel she expressed frustration that owner is reluctant to properly upgrade the motel units. Comfortable bed. Much maintenance needed & furniture needs to be better proportioned for the size of the unit e.g a very large dining table & 4 chairs took up much of the kitchen space. Step up into shower box & a very slippery shower floor was hazardous to older aged clients.
- Dennis (8/5): very good for one night stopover - shower over bath
- Jennifer (3/5): Clean but very basic - The lady was very friendly The facilities were ver basic andpoor ....e.g. plastic shower curtain, TV remote broken etc.
- Mundeep (8/5): Anne was an accommodating host and very helpful. Enjoyed our conversations! 😊 - Location was very handy. Only 2 minute drive to main Street if town. Nearby beach was close. 30 mins from Awhitu Regional Park
- Rosemary (9/5): Had a great time with family. Clean and all you needed. - Cooked our own. Hosts were gorgeous souls. Our hot water had been turned off, so my son had a shower in another unit until the water heated in ours. Very grateful for this 🙏 Nothing really. On the main road but didn't hear a lot of traffic.
- Dianne (8/5): Tidy, Clean, Comfy & a Wonderful Host! - Our host was wonderfully polite, caring, kind and extremely helpful, even going out of her way to transport a friend who was staying there, to get to a place he needed to be during a very difficult time for our party. Very efficient servicing of our room and made our stay so pleasant and welcolming. The superking bed was so comfy and all linen fresh and clean. Definitely stay there again! Liked the size of the room and parking availability was great! The sheets on the bed didn't quite fit the comfy SuperKing sized bed. The shower curtain was just a tad too short to stop water escaping onto the floor. An extractor fan in bathroom would be great, had to open a window in the adjacent toilet to let steam out. Cold tap in kitchen leaked a little. Could do with proper coffee mugs and cereal bowls. All minor things really.
- Kayla (9/5): Thank you! Thank you! Thank you - I loved the location of this accommodation, we were attending an unveiling last minute so we needed something immediately. I was able to get access to this place which seemed quite close to the township and close to most things that we needed. The staff was very lovely, my partner said she was a very friendly lady and super kind in taking him to our room while I was on my way. A tidy neat place, I will definitely be back though. Thank you so much for our stay. The only thing my partner was worried about was the dog at the front office when he checked in but other than that, we were looked after from start to finish. I am very grateful to even have an opportunity to get a room last minute. Our room had cooking facilities, a heat pump, fridge, nice little lounge and even some seating outside.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was close to the wedding I was atttending to. Annie & Charlie seemed like nice people.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Blown away by the service and friendly efficient staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Only one small thing we were at the front and could hear the traffic up till about midnight the road was busy. When we stay again we will ask fir a room away from the road
- Ann (8/5): - Great it was comfortable and clean , great for a short stay for us, quiet
- Jan (8/5): - Nice room, very clean, pleasant staff. Somewhat expensive for a small town, but that is probably due to the steel mill close by.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Quiet, comfortable, met our requirements to visit the area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Was clean and tidy, easy access nice place to stay
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The curtains were hanging off the tracks and for what is rather overpriced in comprasion to other hotels
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The room was nice and the location was good.
The outside areas were slightly unkempt.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Dated accommodation - OK for overnight stay. Decor is very dated and the outside view from our rook was towards a garage with a hole in the door. Bathroom was clean but old fittings and a shower box with a very thin curtain which we did not try. Very poor reception on the TV ran from a sat box which kept on breaking up.The heat pump came on during the night making the room so hot it woke us up and we were tempted to leave. No sign of the proprietor in the morning as we looked for some where to leave the key.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Basic 3 star motel. Reasonably clean and pretty quiet but not flash. Kitchenette available. Pillows were not comfortable and there were no spares but the mattress was okay. The room could do with a bit of a makeover to smarten up some things like the missing curtain hooks and the sluggish plumbing.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff went over the top for my kids thank you so much me and my little family had a lovely stay. My kids didn’t want to leave.
- Philip (8/5): - A great place for a stop over.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Comfortable and clean - although a little dated - very convenient for visiting family
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great stay, bed was extremely comfy. Good area. Would stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Awesome service, tidy unit, and very happy to recommend.
