Toilet seat about 3 sizes too small for bowl and had a sliding sideways option. No milk in fridge no dish cloth to wipe down bench. On plus side bed comfortable and good hot shower.

The location is excellent—right in the heart of the city, making it super easy to get around and explore local attractions, shops, and restaurants. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything I needed for a pleasant stay.

• Craig (2/5): Pretty rough - Stayed 2 nights they did not clean my room and had to be called back to make the bed. They took 4 times the accommodation. The TV was buggy and Glitchy. Probably won't stay again. The bathroom window was not private enough and had no curtain. The room was cold and the heater did not work. It looked like someone else had left their. ShamPoo and moisturizer in the shower and they left it for clients to use. When I needed a receipt when checking out, nobody was around to sort it

• Carol (6/5): - The room was only partially cleaned for my late arrival. Some of the furniture was dusty and the inside of the bathroom drawers had hair and dust in them. All of the containers for shampoo, soaps, etc needed refills. The coffee and tea were so old, the packaging was breaking open. The fabric headboard smelled like old cigarette smoke. The person on the front desk was as helpful as he could be, considering it was over New Years that I was there. The outside grass has just gone to weeds. Outside waste bins were overflowing. If it weren’t for vehicles parked there, the property would look like it had been abandoned.
• Lisa (6/5): - First impressions weren't great on arrival, the front lawns were overgrown, mail was falling out of the letterbox, exterior bins were overflowing. There was insufficient cutlery and linen, and they curtain track had come away from the wall at one end so you had to be very careful when opening and closing the curtain. It also appears the office is not manned, as there was no one on site when we arrived about 6:30pm or when we departed about 8am.

Worst place we have ever stayed in. The sheets, pillowcases, towel etc were brilliantly clean and crisp Thought it was compulsory to have smoke detectors

• Verified traveler (4/5): - The manager/owner was very nice, warm and welcoming, predominantly the place was clean however the top bedding was quite dirty with unwashed stains and “many hairs” on the top and second layer of bedding. There was also an unpleasant strong smoky smell throughout the room when the bathroom heater ventilation was turned on which remained. Additionally, there was no light in the bathroom (bulb blown I suspect) and no bathmat. It was really the bedding that was “disturbing”. Positives were the friendliness of the owner/manger and the close location to town.

• Andrew (10/5): Comfortable, friendly, and great value for money. - I was welcomed warmly, and even given some very useful tips on local area sightseeing. My accomodation was comfortable, clean, with a good bed to sleep in. The room had everything one would need. Breakfast items were brought to me the evening before, so I could do my own thing in the morning. This motel is extremely good value for money, and well located to get around town. There are parking spaces outside the rooms.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Pleasant Stay with Caveats - Overall, my stay was very pleasant. Although furnishings seemed a bit old and faded, they were clean and comfortable. The overall space was well organized with a sitting, eating, and sleeping areas, kitchenette, and bathroom. A couple of suggestions: 1. Please provide a better quality coffee even if it's just a good instant. The brand you used had a decent tea but not coffee (brew or instant). 2. The huge windows on the door and in the bathroom prevented privacy even though they contained "privacy" glass. Please put some sort of curtain or other covering over them, which can be drawn closed as necessary. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

The kitchen and bathroom both refurbished nicely, with that expense it's a shame the furniture wasn't updated also. Otherwise very nice and we would use them again

• David (8/5): Big, clean, modern, a little noisy - Very spacious & clean, as well as a warm welcome fomr the owner. The only downside was a thin wall between units as we could hear the neighbours talking until 11pm and then one of them had a cough so a litt;e bit of noise there. Also it's on a main road, and on Saturday night the local boy racers can be heard. Not bad though, we all seemed to get enough sleep.

• Viv (6/5): Comfortable and clean motel close to the shops - We enjoyed our stay at Ashlar. It was great getting accommodation as there was a motorcycle event on. We loved the big TV in the room, a bonus because often the TV's are small things. It was quiet and had a pretty garden to look out to. The only thing I would comment about was that we were not offered any complimentary milk. Otherwise a good stay, would probably stay again. Good value.

Blind needed in bathroom. Cork screw required and some more basic cooking utensils . Otherwise lovely little studio apartment within walking distance 10-15 mins max of town .
