• Donkin (3/5): Below average - I didn't like alot at all the first room I was put in. Tv not working fridge not working. Got put in another room was a little better. Tv worked sometimes kept cutting out back to home screen, annoying! The shower didn't drain properly, water filled right up to almost overflow. There were a number of pubic hair around the room and bathroom, pretty gross!!!!!! So yea all in all just super average Pubic hair all around the room and bathroom

• Teo (1/5): My trip in Wellington got ruined because of this stay. Very bad experience - Nothing I honestly did not enjoy this stay at all. During our 3-night stay, we had to change rooms 4 times due to ongoing issues. The first room had a flashing light that made the room feel uncomfortable and poorly maintained. The second room smelled strongly of smoke, which was completely unacceptable as we were travelling with an infant. We then had to pay an additional $92 just to upgrade to a third room, only to discover that the bathroom was leaking water badly. The leak almost caused my wife — who was holding our baby at the time — to slip and fall. We reported the issue to reception in the morning. The receptionist assured us someone would fix the leak and housekeeping would clean up the bathroom as the floor was wet and messy. However, when we returned at the end of the day, absolutely nothing had been done. No repairs, no housekeeping, nothing. All we received were excuses that the plumber had an emergency and could not attend. We eventually had to argue with reception before they finally agreed to move us to a fourth room. Overall, this was an extremely stressful and disappointing experience, especially while travelling with a baby. The lack of maintenance, poor communication, and failure to resolve issues properly made this one of the worst hotel stays we’ve had.

We were in a large group, one of our rooms had a faulty smoke detector which beeped the entire night, a faulty ceiling light fixture which flickered through the night , a faulty toilet window which didnt close .. Not worth staying there for free leave alone paying for the night

• katy (3/5): Stay away!! Spend your money somewhere else - The only good thing is the location. Close enough to the city and near the ferry port. Floors are sticky and dirty, room has a bad smell. Bathroom is nasty. Rustics faucets and bathtub. Broken curtains. Unsecured entrance door.

• Antz (1/5): Horrible experience, no joke - There was absolutely nothing to like about this experience, it started to go downhill right from when the paid was confirmed and did not get any better unfortunately! The not wanting to meet with me to explain the bad experience from us checking inn, the person who was answering the phone onsite kept avoiding me

Cooking utensils where there but no pots and pans for cooking. Sponge was old and disgusting. Not tea towel to dry dishes. No tv access just YouTube. We paid good money to stay here but very let down. Dated, unclean, staff didn't care. Lawns no moved. Place falling apart. No tv just YouTube. We got nothing that was expected. We hated it. No pots and pans to cook, when. Tried to call desk but no answer, went to office to catch her with phone off the hook. Staff making excuses... just not want we paid for. Ripped off. Avoid!!

• Janice (2/5): Petone nightmare - The motel is central to everything in lower hutt and 20 mins to the CBD on the motorway The first unit that was offered to me disgusting. A piece if wood to lock the ranch slider missing window catches and catches that didn't work, the sheets on the bed were clean but underneath was a rumpled, stained mattress protector with a previous occupants hair on it. The electric plug by the bench had a missing piece in the broken cover, and there unfinished repairs. I was offered another much nicer unit next door but wore my shoes inside so I didn't stick to the floor. I advised the manager to check the online reviews.

• Hunt (8/5): My stay was very good and felt very safe. - I liked the cleanliness and the proximity to the ferries were important to me. Good facilities and close to the shops. My ferry was late arriving into Wellington (after midnight) - having to go to another facility just down the road, to reception to find a black box on the wall, use a pin to open it (which I had to have 3-4 goes at) before it opened and then go back to the place I was staying. It wasn't far but at that hour of the night and particularly as the ad says 24/7 I chose that facility.

• Taylor (1/5): Shocking horror and keeped my money ripped off and no care in the world - Ive officially made it clear to the lady who is the host or front of house shes well aware the room was disgusting and I didnt wanna stay there it smelt bad let alone the poor standard of cleaning no ventilation in room curtains pulled nets missing net curtains floor dirty from lack of attention to detail m bathroom security latch kudy hanging off stuff blower in the bathroom room was an absolute eyesaw chea0 avcomation does not warrant keeping my money the eay o was treated and still no contact and ir response from one of the 2 facilities as this is an issue to get thd key amd booking.com.hasent been amy better ive fone this job az a supervisor and it hsd 103 rooms so an insult to the industry before making public im going to contact all nessacery places to ensure that this is brought to light and misleading infomation and demanding yo s3e the card I had already paid for yet the room and its state was up to the manager to correct however yo busy on the phone and thsy was shocking we shouldn't be selling these to anyone and how money id being made os beyond me absolutely will never ever accept this was ok please at least appomigise correct the problem amd definitely return my money I didnt stay there I have proof and ot is absolutely dsy light R9bberry and very poor management and not welcomed or respected would u want to stay there gotta wonder what's going on at these places as te cleaning trolly its state and wasn't used by anyone in the duration of time I was trying to ask which one the room key was memt for just absolutely shocking way to run a bidiness cheap accommodation does not sign a right away to clean and making profit os key and my knowledge of this is of 7 years and we welcomed our guests ive never ever seen such a complicated eye saw and lack of anything right or wrong and in my opinion shows dishonesty and disrespect to our country and people have a right to know and laws should be followed online and better to just have clean rooms and... • Karin (4/5): - No one at reception to check in (seems normal for NZ motels?) and then when I went into the room, the queen bed looked like it was slept in - duvet open like someone had gotten out of the bed and it wasn’t made up, pillows and decorative blanket scattered across the bed. Used towel crumpled up on bathroom sink. I was tired after a long day of travel and didn’t want to go back (down the block to the Avana Suites, different motel but that’s where reception is for Midway?), call, get a new key, walk back, etc. I grimaced, used shower quickly, and then slept in the twin bed instead where the bed was at least made. Disturbing.

Presentation of grounds outside our door ie: car parking area. Tree stump a hazard. Grilled drainage needed clearing out (messy and condom in uncovered drain),and reinstated as grill covered drainage. Duvet needed changing.

• Meaclem (1/5): - First, the receptionist, took my money, then wouldn't give me the key, I had to go to the bank and get some which was the same as payment method, then room smells, curtains broken, table was wobly, holes in door, a mirror on bed. Was horrible and I have photos of this.

• Chris (3/5): - The bed was somewhat comfortable. The tv didnt have any channels, so only way you could watch anything, was through youtube (or logging into your own Netflix account). The door on my room was very sticky and did'n really have a handle on the inside, so I totally unable to open it, meaning I needed to go out the back door (ranch slider) and then walk around the building to open the door from the front, any time I wanted to leave. Shower was very small and other amenities were extremely basic.

• Dianne (4/5): I think if the receptionist was more considerate and wasn’t so short and ending the call as rude as she was answering it - Location was good with stores within driving distance. We were without power for 4+ hours. When we reached out for help, the receptionist on the phone was rude with the way she answered the phone.
• Kensington (5/5): Inside the room is nice and clean. The outside appearance scares away people - Reception not is easily accessible . Information on the door not sufficient. From the outside, the place looks abandoned. Outside environment looks un attractive and untidy
• Corban (4/5): - We were not given any check in details, I tried contacting the help desk several times and waited around for 30 minutes, eventually some lady came and was very rude, accused us of not calling at all and said the only reason she came was cause she saw us on the camera. I told her the only pin number for the lockbox I had was actually just my booking pin from booking.com and that it was not working on the lockbox. The woman made me scroll through my emails looking for the email and was very condescending. She went back to a computer and was adamant that an email was sent (I checked all my inboxes including spam) She then said "Obviously the problem is you if you haven't received the email and you apparently tried calling us." The room smelt of dank wet carpet and desperately needed airing out. There were also gross stains on the couch.

Thank you The benchtop oven did not work so maybe need to look into that. The sliding door was making noises as it was not locked so the wind kept moving it.
