Friendly staff , nice quiet air-con TV could have been bigger for the size of the room; Difficult towel storage and very limited towel hanging space and only above the toilet , easy for clumsy people like me let a towel fall in the toilet below!

It has a good amount of parking This motel is very old and renovated, but poorly. Room 17 has dodgy electricity supply to the room. I stubbed my toe on the wall because of the narrow access. Mostly clean but for a dead cockroach in the blanket we were going to use for an afternoon nap. The drawer on the TV counter smelled awful and couldn’t be used. No compendium providing general safety information, services, the onsite restaurant (which appears to be permanently closed?), etc. There was a sheet in the room to order breakfast but it wasn’t clear what to do.

Inside and out the reception, the grounds, the rooms, the amenities were sparkling clean. Noyhing untidy. Nothing out of place. The lady in reception was friendly, obliging and accommodating (yes I know). The housekeeper was equally helpful. The rates were excellent. So good they attract a clientele. The other guests made easy conversation. We couldn't fault it. It is worth visiting Richmond just to stay at the Colonial Motel.

The shower in the lovely clean bathroom is over a large bath which neither of us could use or get into. The price we paid was too expensive for what we got. See above comment.

The shower and bath had minimal water pressure. I paid the extra to enjoy the nice spacious bath provided but due to the water pressure, it was gonna take an hour or two to actually fill up.
