• Aus-Traveller (9/5): Lots of Options for the Active Traveller - Although the weather was cold, wet and miserable, despite it being the start of summer, it was great to drive up to our private cottage, unpack and sit on the veranda listening to the rain. The small kitchenette with stove top and electric BBQ on the veranda were a nice added touch. Check in, check out was a breeze! All good; no negatives.
• Darryl Bridges (7/5): Cottages in beautiful surroundings - The gardens and setting of the cottages is beautiful. The recliner chairs in the living area were very comfortable and it was a very peaceful and quiet weekend away. One of the most important things to me with accommodation is the comfort of the bed and unfortunately I found the bed at the cottage to be very hard and uncomfortable which was disappointing.

• Karen (9/5): Tranquil retreat in the hills of Neerim. - The cottage was delightfully warm and cosy when we arrived, immaculately clean and well appointed. Easy to find and access the property. The landscape around this area is stunning and pristine. The cabin was well appointed and was great for a short stay, however, the main area would benefit from a room lamp at night as the overhead lighting is harsh and not fitting with the country cottage ambiance 😉 Otherwise, all perfect!

Location exceeded expectations with glorious scenery. I would loved to have taken my children here in years gone by as it was so well equipped with tennis courts, pool and games room. I would highly recommend this country getaway location.

• Caris (10/5): - Great place for a family vacation! We loved swimming, playing on the playground equipment and exploring local pubs and cafes. The cottage was very spacious and there was lots of room inside and out for our child to play. The hosts were really lovely and helpful and made us feel very welcome.

• Hillbrick (7/5): Enjoyable stay, a few small improvements could be made but overall it was a nice place to stay. - The spa and pool were lovely. Warm cottage. I am not sure about the $20per hour additional fee to use the spa. I would think you would just incorporate this in the price. We also were under the impression that we could use the games room and fireplace but when we asked we were told that it was booked for a private function, it would have been nice to be notified of this on arrival, as the kids went out and brought marshmallows. We also only had 1 bowl in the cottage for 4 people, minor things but attention to detail could improve.
• Tamara (9/5): Superb - Great stay with our family for a sporting event. Very pleased with our last minute choice. Only negative was the shower pressure but it was very clean and not something that would stop me from returning. Easy to locate, easy to access with clear instructions emailed by hosts. After hours check in was awesome and organised.
• Kristen (8/5): - Hosts were extremely friendly and hospitable. Cottage was supplied with a good selection of teas and some muesli and jams for breakfast, but no coffee to my partner’s dismay. The local cafe makes a great latte and breakfast menu not too far away. Small bbq grill provided for frying up sausages, steaks and burgers which was convenient. No wifi on property and phone service was very poor, as was the tv reception. Bed wasn’t overly comfortable and I was glad we had packed our own pillows, but the cottage was nice and quiet and it was a good location for visiting the surrounding waterfalls.

We stayed here during Winter, and were able to enjoy the firepit in the evening and relaxing in the spa. The beds were really comfortable and the owners were super friendly and helpful. There is a rail trail and nature walks within a short drive away. We highly recommend this place.

Needed to be more cooking facilities to be really "self contained" for example, stove and more pots and cooking implements. Pool was nice but a little small, only really room for one family at a time. Could have done with a sheet on the bed instead of doona with the weather being so hot.

• Ron (10/5): For a very pleasant getaway weekend from the city, this is the place. - A selection of cottages set in beautiful surroundings, lots of wildlife and leisure facilities, swimming pool, tennis etc. Our cabin was well equiped for an enjoyable stay. We dined at the hotel and brewery just a few kilometres away and the food was excellent. Nothing to not like.

• Inge (7/5): It was convenient, basic and clean. If I needed to stay in the area again, would I stay here? Probably not - I liked the area, I used to live about 10kms away and it was relatively close to where I needed to go I hated that it was a black hole in terms of internet and phone reception. (The proprietor did say no internet, but I didn’t realise it was a location issue, thought they just didn’t provide it). I also felt that the space was small for the price I paid. I felt that there were somethings lacking that I normally get for this price.

• Van (9/5): A little home away from home - A very quaint and relaxing stay in Neerim. Minutes to and from trestle bridge, Nooj pub and trout farm. Love coming here for a little Melbourne staycation with the cutest pony hanging around for morning pets. Water pressure was great and rooms clean. Nice for R&R after a day out and about

• Jane (10/5): Our stay was a lovely country experience in a beautiful setting with everything we needed. - The owners were lovely people and very prompt when we had some trouble with the telly. The kitchen was stocked very well with tea, coffee, milk, cereal, Tim Tams etc! The bungalow was very clean and the shower was great! The heating was great and there were plenty of rugs, which meant we could sit out on the veranda early morning and dusk. Lots of bird life! Lovely spot. Nothing really.
