Guest Reviews
- darren (8/5): - Great convenient little cabin with all the amenities you need. Bed was a little small, but I am 6'3".
- Damien (10/5): - Was a lovely cabin, perfect for the family to enjoy a three day escape. So close to everything in town. Check-in was easy clear and straightforward and overall we had a great time. Will definitely be coming back
- Cheryl (8/5): - The cabin was comfortable and affordable for a family of 4.
A nice walk into Beechworth.
The air-conditioning was a little temperamental, but overall there was sufficient blankets and electric blankets to keep warm. Appreciated the fan heater as well.
Hosts were helpful and responded quickly to any request.
A lovely open area at the back of the property, which we would have utilised in warmer months.
Overall, would recommend this accommodation for your stay at beautiful Beechworth.
- Kerry (6/5): - I thought overall the prperty was pretty shabby
Gardens needed attention ie pruning particularly around entrance to cabin. The chair on front verandah dirty & key safe hard to operate. The rug on the floor of the cabin was filthy & so were cushion covers. There was also no human contact or folder with list of amenities either at the property or in the town ie restaurants info centre etc
- ENG NI (8/5): - The cabin is quiet and clean but driveway is narrow and bins inside cabin were full on check in
- Lyle (10/5): - Great for the kids who loved the accommodation and loved Beechworth. Quiet, clean place and in easy walking distance of everything.
- Andrew (10/5): - Very helpful, excellent communication.
Great location.
- kristine (10/5): - Inside cabin was great, air con worked really well on 40 degree days. We were very happy with little clean tidy cabin which had plenty of cooking utensils. overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. However, we noticed
Towels were worn. Also the Outdoor alfresco area could be improved with seating and made tidier.
- Belinda (8/5): - I liked the cabin we stayed in as it had space for us better than a hotel room & as we stayed 2 nights.
The shower was ok, it changed temp at times. But once we got use to this, it was fine. The stay was comfortable with 2 people, but would have been a bit cramped for a family with kids.
All the supplies in the cabin were great. Which meant we did not have to eat out all the stay
Good size fridge & freezer

- Christine (10/5): - The property is
set in nice surroundings, pretty gardens and the kitchen is very well eqippped with crockery and kitchen utensils etc.. as is the bathroom. Very quiet and peaceful location. We enjoyed our stay.
- Igor (8/5): - Very well equipped.
- Boyd (10/5): - Two of us stayed here to go to Ocktoberfest @ Bridge Road Brewery. 10 minute walk and also close to cafes and shops. Excellent 2 room cabin with all we needed.
- Belinda (8/5): - Quiet, walkable to town and some great walks nearby eg lake Kerford. Very clean and suitable for stopover from Sydney to Melbourne.
- Jeff (10/5): - Comfortable, quiet accommodation with helpful staff
- P2702WGjanetg (10/5): Inviting Sanctuary - My sister and I hired a cabin each for a couple of days at Beechworth Cabins. It was lovely to turn off High Street into what felt like a sanctuary. The plantings around the cabins make for a serene calm and the cabins are comfortable, clean, well resourced and have a warm feel. The owners were kind and helpful. I would highly recommend Beechworth Cabins to individuals, couples, groups and families.

- Phillip (10/5): - We were pleasantly surprised with our little cabin.
Cabin was very clean & provided everything
We required.
Air con worked well & was quiet, fan in bedroom also a good addition.
- Danita (10/5): - Great location, clean and cute. We really enjoyed our stay.
- Judith (8/5): - Was not aware of payment method if choose pay later and no Office at property.. I know how all works now txt will come with entry details after money out day of stay. Requested quiet cabin got that with lovely garden setting very walkable to historic Beechworth once up steepish driveway Totally enjoyable stay with very accommodating operator after lateish departure glitch. Judy
- Rick (10/5): Nice quiet cabin - Great cabin in a perfect and quiet location. Only 5 mins walk to the main street so didn't need to use the car. The manager was friendly and helpful at check-in.
- Alex (10/5): - We had a great stay here! We booked out all 4 units and stayed with a group of friends. The owners were amazing in accommodating us. They stocked up some wood for us so we could sit around the fire pit and share stories late into the night. Can’t recommend this place enough
- Shaun (8/5): - Nice cabin close to town
- Sarah (8/5): - Nice cabin walking distance to town centre
- Jodie (10/5): - Cabins were warm, clean & cozy
Plenty of extra blankets for cold nights
A very short drive to the Main Street, was also a plus
Would stay here again
- Neil (10/5): - Everything & more in the cupboards for a good weeks stay… A cosy cabin for 2 ,, though sleeps 5… friendly magpies out back, friendly staff out front.. shower has good heat & pressure,, & AC worked a treat… Will be first choice when heading back…
- WestyTweedValley (6/5): Basic, a few improvements needed. - Two older adults; one bedroom was designed for kids - i.e., triple bunks - so not ideal. Towels in bunk room old and thin. Furnishings are a bit dirty and/or 2nd rate, one chair unusable, no heating in the bathroom (1° in the mornings), and no bathroom clothes hooks. Sheets and pillow cases unironed in main bedroom, no milk for tea/coffee. Overall, it's disappointing. Would I stay here again? No.
- Brett (8/5): -
- Linda (8/5): - Aside from the Wifi being unreliable, this is a great spot
The only thing that would top it would be having a bath in the cabin!
Great place and people
- Bernie (10/5): - Very pleasant place to stay for three nights
- Lindsey (8/5): - Unit 1: quiet roomy and well appointed.
The only problem was it was exceedingly difficult to find the property at night from the road.
- Margaret (10/5): - It was quiet and very clean. Had everything you could need for a short stay.
Bed was comfortable but a tight fit if you are tall like my husband. He is 6'2" and the bed was a little short for his comfort but didn't stop him having a good sleep.
Kate us very efficient and friendly and the instructions to get in were clear.
Can thoroughly say check them out for your next stay.
Oh...some salt and pepper would be good to have on hand 😊
- Simon (8/5): - Good parking, quiet
- Martin (8/5): - The property is very near Ford Street but is situated in a quiet part of the area.
The triple bunk bed in the cabin is more suited for young children rather than adults.
Communication with the owner was good and checking in and out was a breeze.
- Susan (6/5): - Adequate for a quick stop/visit. Good for a quick stroll to the main street along a nice park & wateerway. Cabin a bit tired: Old towells, blown light bulbs and torn curtains. The biggest issue was the small double bed for a 6ft person meaning an uncomfortable nights sleep
- Esscee97 (8/5): Good location friendly helpful hosts. - Good location with easy access to the town. Hosts friendly and helpful. These cabins are 'caravan park' style. The 2nd bedroom has a triple bunk setup which would only really work for smaller kids, We needed the heating at night (in May) but the aircon unit was noisy to sleep with. Nice that extra blankets were available, Kitchen was well equipped with the basics including a gas hob. I would book again but in cold months I would be hoping for an upgrade to the aircon. I liked the quirky garden landscaping and the and nice access to the stream and walking path at the bottom of the garden.
- Shane (10/5): - Loved property
- Sue (10/5): - close to Everything, quiet area, property was clean and well kept
- sag1950 (6/5): Bike Trip - Cabin [2 BR: 1 double and 3 bunks] is 'caravan park style' so nothing special for the $150 but FULLY equipped for cooking and has full size fridge so those facilities could save you $ over a few days. Everything worked fine. Extra blankets available but these were quite old. Check-in and out is contactless by use of a keysafe. Easy walk into Beechworth shops/hotels.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Location was good. Cleanliness of kitchen, beds and bathroom good but there was dust on all higher rails and top of shelves etc. Cobwebs in all rooms at ceiling height and we had 2 cockroaches the first night. Backyard in need of a good tidy up - but we had a bonus koala in a tree the first night.
- Craig (10/5): Hidden gem - Great little gem that we found in Beechworth. Definitely check it out.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Small cabin that is looking a little tired, but everythingis in working order. Communication on the check in day was great, but could have been better leadind up to it. Location was great and overall it was a pleasant stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Walking distance from town centre . Fid and Kate were perfect hosts and very friendly. Cabin had all you needed for a comfortable stay. Would recommend to others!!
- Nicholas R (10/5): Great location, Great facilities. - These cabins are ideal as the layout is practical and the location is convenient to all of the main activities in Beechworth. The hosts were communicative and helpful. We would go back.
- NellyC76 (6/5): Great location but basic. - The best thing about these cabins is the location, an easy walk into town and a lovely creek behind the property. However the cabins are very small and basic. The bed is a double bed and the three bunks are short, definitely only suited to children. We stayed in July and found the cabin to be cold, despite having the heater running almost constantly. It feels like the place needs a little TLC, the backyard was a little run down and overgrown, not quite like the photos. We had two concerns while we were here, one was that our TV didn't work admittedly the owner did offer us the use of an apple TV, but we were hoping to catch the news etc. and couldn't. The other issue was that our front door didn't lock, we informed the owners of this and they explained that this was because the doors had recently been painted. This problem wasn't rectified during our two night stay, which concerned us. The owners are lovely and hopefully with business picking up again they'll be able to put a bit of money into updating some of the facilities. Currently the cabins are a little overpriced for what you get.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great price and location, friendly hosts. The cabins have everything you need.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property is well situated, a walking distance into town. The place has only a few cabins so it is very quiet. The owners are very friendly and helpful, happy to give direction or advice about what to do or visit. Worth a stay!
- Kate (10/5): - Quaint cottage in a central location. Hassle free check in.
- Michelle28263 (8/5): Great little place to stay! - Warm, friendly welcome from Fid (owner) on arrival. She had some good suggestions for things to see and do in town. Clean cabins with everything I needed for my stay. Cabins located an easy 10 minute walk to main street of Beechworth and a fabulous selection of historic sites, shops, cafes and pubs.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This property was in a good location and reasonably priced but we were very disappointed to find that the cabin was generally very unclean with bed sheets that felt unclean and dirty. Furthermore, there were several cobwebs in the bedroom and lots of small insects were on the bed sheets on the top bunk, which meant that we needed to use a lot of our insect repellent! There were several other bugs, beetles and ants in various areas of the cabin. Unfortunately we checked in rather late after a long day driving so went out for dinner immediately after checking in and hence we didn’t notice these issues until we were preparing for bed and by then it was too late to raise them with the members of staff who checked us in. We hardly slept that night and were relieved to get away first thing the following morning. It is a real shame that this could have been an enjoyable visit had the cabin been thoroughly cleaned and clean sheets provided prior to our check in. I’d advise management to clean the cabins more thoroughly soon before each guest is due to arrive and if bugs are likely to be present in the area due to the weather maybe warn guests about this prior to checking in and provide extra repellent?
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice people and a quiet location that is an easy walk to the middle of town. The cabins are in good nick and set in a nice place. Bonus points for getting welcomed by a happy dog.
- Stephanie (4/5): not a win - would not stay again - Not a great experience. They say you get what you pay for, but in this case we didn’t even get this, despite it being relatively cheap. Dirty cabins, spiders and all kinds of insects inside, bad smell. Would not recommend to anyone I know after having stayed here. There’s better places in Beechworth for the same price.
- Joanne (8/5): - It was walking distance to town, was clean and had everything we needed for our short stay!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The location is handy. The property was dirty. Dust, spider webs and dirty. Tidy but not clean
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location within 5 minutes walk to main part of town.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great family stay in Beechworth - Cute, basic family accommodation in beautiful Beechworth. Recommend
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean and quiet- perfect for our family. Great value for money
- Beccyboo87 (2/5): Disgusting treatment....... - Disgusting treatment from the owners, booked on wotif put in payment details.... however when we left we were threatened by the owner that she would call the police!?!?!
Our cabin was full of ants including on the children’s linen.
I’d never stay here again, nor would I let anyone I know stay at $150 per night to sleep with ants!!!
The property is very run down and not as advertised!!!!!
Revolting as is the attitude of the owner!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Close to town, cheap and cheerful and good for the night
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It’s close to town. Plenty of space for the kids. They love the 3 bunks
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Cabin was very clean & had all kitchen facilities.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The cabin was easy to access with parking next to the front door. The cabin was clean, fresh and comfortable with everything required for a few days away. The hosts were welcoming and helpful, and gave me some great tips on places to visit in the area.
- Kathleen (4/5): Beechworth Cabins - Quiet location, equipped kitchen which was good - but the bed was so uncomfortable, we didn't sleep all night - it sags and rolls into the middle, the worst bed we had in our 2 week trip around Victoria. Also overpriced compared to where we stayed in Beechworth the night before, which was unfortunately booked out. Wish we had stayed somewhere else.
- CelticNomad2014 (6/5): Great budget stay - The cabin was very clean and had everything you would need.
The bed was a double, but comfortable.
I imagine it could be hot in the summer but in November with the Victorian winter we actually had difficulty keeping it warm.
The bathroom was clean and roomy and it had lovely hot water with good water pressure.
We never had any need to speak to the owners and didn't see them for the two nights we were there but I assume they would have been around had we had a problem.
- VC (8/5): - We knew that this was fairly basic accomodation but it was clean and perfectly adequate for the two days we were in Beechworth.
We didn't have any problems so didn't need to communicate with the owners and it was a very easy, relaxed stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The property is well worn but adequate for the one night we stayed. Easy walk into town and in pretty gardens.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Absolutely charming! Close to local shops and dining.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location was great. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The staff were easy to deal with and the whole process was smooth
- Ali (10/5): - Great location. Clean and tidy with nice facilities.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly managers, quiet and convenient to restaurants, cafes and shopping.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We enjoyed our stay and the facilities were what we expected. Great location, inexpensive and easy to book and check in.
Thank you.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean and neat. Everything we needed was there and the owners were very understanding and friendly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location. After dark access could be better with lighting at street entrance.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quiet location, clean and tidy cabins. Easy check in.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The cabin, although small, had everything we needed. It was clean, good heating. Water pressure was good and plenty of hot water. Plenty of extra blankets. Crockery and saucepans were hard to reach, too far back in the cupboard, not practical to have to get on your hands and knees to reach these things.. It would have been good to have wifi. Walking distance to the main street.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great Place reasonable price "..............................
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I liked how there were only a few there, didn’t like no wifi and they were not very clean. I am a cleaner myself and was not happy with the state of the room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This place was an awesome stay stay so friendly the cabins had everything you needed and close to the town centre
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The shower temperature was going from really hot to cold the whole time, but apart from that enjoyed the stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Our stay was brilliant. On arrival we were greeted with great hospitality and such a warm welcome. The cabins are a secret haven set in boutique style. A short stroll into the main street yet a quiet and serene site. Hope to stay again !!
- Helen (10/5): Great little getaway - This is a great place to stay. As an adult, the single bed bunk mattresses are a little thin but they’d be perfect for kids. The QB for adults was comfortable last time, and my 6”1’ son slept well on it this trip. It’s not a 5-star hotel, but it’s a very comfortable and quiet cabin, perfect for a get away. The hosts are lovely too.
Beechworth is a lovely township with good food, local highlights and close to other townships for day trips.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very kid friendly. Big space down the back for the kids to run
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Property good proximillty to town. Managers friendly. Adequate for our needs
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The birds and the trees and the comfy bed. Thank you for having us.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Property appeared untidy and aspects of the room unclean
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly welcome from the proprietor. Clear information about the cabin. Pleasant surroundings
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly staff and great location near to town
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The bushy feel. Quiet area, other than the builders' early start next door! Friendly hosts. Smaller number of units than a caravan park.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was well located to town, not too many Cabins on site, had what we needed in it.
Bed was a bit squashy but was overall acceptable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The children loved the bunk beds. Easy walking distance to shops. Quiet location, friendly service. Enjoyed our stay
- Verified traveler (8/5): - All ok. I don’t want to add more and let me move to the next screen
- Graham (8/5): Beautiful Beechworth - The cabins are like a caravan park units. Clean and all services provided including a kitchen. All reasonably basic but very suitable for purpose.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Friendly staff lovely surroundings . Convenient to main centre of town
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Peaceful, clean, great location, air conditioning worked well on very hot days
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Do not stay here unless you want to share your room with bugs, dirt and grime!
- Patricia1209 (8/5): Fantastic place to stay. - We spent four nights here and loved it. The owners were very welcoming and helpful before and during our stay. The setting was so lovely and peaceful. We found the cabins easily enough and were pleased to find that it was within easy walking distance to the town centre. The cottage had everything we needed. There was plenty of water in the shower. The facilities advertised were all in good working order and there was plenty of parking. There was a beautiful meadow at the creek end of thr property which was also pretty. We both enjoyed staying here and would not hesitate to return should I be in the area again. The internet would have made this a perfect location.
- Patricia (10/5): - Beautiful and peaceful. Bed was comfortable and warm. Cabin had all amenities one could need. Owners were very helpful and accommodating. It was easy to find and within walking distance of the town centre.
- Meredith (8/5): - Small property with four cabins on site. There is a lovely space for kids to play with some toys and games in the garden, a BBQ free for use under shelter and tables and chairs dotted around the garden for sitting and relaxing. The cabins are an easy 10 minute stroll into the centre of Beechworth and the owner very helpful.
The cabins themselves have a triple bunk with a door, a good ensuite and double bed room with cupboards. There is a stove top and microwave, utensils could do with updating/replacing and a few more salad type bowls would be useful but overall this is a great spot to stay if you're looking for somewhere close to Beechworth.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Great location but the property was very tired....
- Elizabeth (8/5): - Ideal for purpose. Clean; provisions met our needs.
Friendly, welcoming hosts.
- Emma (8/5): - The cabins were good for our needs which was a stop over on our way home. Nice and close to the main shopping strip so we could stretch our legs and walk for food at restaurants and cafes and pick up some groceries etc.
- MASK_3551 (6/5): Mixed thoughts - Close to town, easy parking and plenty of space for the kids to run around, however the cabins are tired and need an update
Black mound visible in our shower. Not fully self contained as there is no oven. Couch is too small for a family of 4.
Probably a bit overpriced for quality but location is good.
