- Kevin (10/5): - The staff were wonderful. Yes the room was spotless and homely. Yes we will be back again in a few years time.
- Andrew (10/5): - Incredible place to stay in the Tablelands and be immersed in nature and the local wildlife. John and Jenny were wonderful hosts. Giving us tips on where and how to see certain birds.
We were able to see the infamous rifle bird do its dance multiple times throughout the stay right from our balcony. If we ever return to Australia, we’ll definitely be looking to book a stay here.
Any nature/bird lover would have an amazing experience here. The cottages were perfect!
- YILI (10/5): Perfect experience! -
- Peter (9/5): Prachtige cottage en veel wildlife! - Super leuke cottage, van alle gemakken voorzien! Supervriendelijke ontvangst. We kregen voor de eerste ochtend een ontbijt mee en voor de vogels en wallabies lekker voer! De beestenboel zit echt letterlijk rondom de cottage! Helemaal niks!
- Helen (10/5): Glorious place. Absolutely loved it. - The breakfast package provided was amazing and lasted the whole three days. Lots of variety. Nothing. We loved it all.
- Geoff (10/5): A special treat and I absolutely loved it. - Fabulous location with hot and cold running birds on tap. Also, red-legged pademelons and musky rat-kangaroos near our deck. The decor and timber added to the charm and serenity a wonderful place to stay. Nothing

The cottages are well maintained and comfortable with additional tit bits like complementary port and fruit. Hoghly recommended.

Only thing it that would have been more comfortable is a better mattress rather than a hard mattress covered by a mattress topper.

- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - Awesome! John gave us a friendly welcome and a tip for a chance to get a visit from a striped possum during our stay - it worked! When we hopped out at our cabin, there were lots of animals in view! A red-legged pademelon, musky rat-kangaroo, Bower's shrikethrush, grey-headed robin, brush turkey, Lewin's honeyeaters AND Victoria's riflebirds!!! We saw a male display before we even went inside our cabin! We enjoyed listening to the eastern whipbirds and spotted catbirds of the morning, and after looking for Boyd's forest dragons at Lake Eacham one day - no luck - we saw two in a chase from our cabin! Groceries, eateries, and lovely wildlife-spotting nature-based walks are within a 10-15 minute drive away!

- Beth (9/5): Cosy rainforest retreat - The cottages were amazingly peaceful and relaxing. The hosts John and Jenny were very friendly, and the special inclusions were very thoughtful- food to feed the birds and padymelons, the breakfast hamper, port to have by the fire with unlimited wood, DVDs to watch and bubble bath liquid for the bath. Highlights were hand feeding the rifle birds and watching the male courting dance, as well as watching a mother padymelon with her offspring and three very cute and timid musky kangaroo rats. Everything was so well thought of, but perhaps only the lighting in the cabin which was dark with no lights on but a bit harsh when they were on. The bedroom would be nice with the option of softer reading lights.
- Rodrigo (10/5): John is a great host! Thank you for everything! - I don’t have words to describe how beautiful and cozy that cottage in the middle of the rainforest close to Lake Eacham is.
Simply fantastic! The internet is not so good, but what’s the point to have internet in a cottage?
Everything was great!

Lots of nature. Large venue with well thought out decor - Comfortable. Very kind and generous hosts. Wifi a bit patchy if you need to access the internet for business/work.
- Thomas (10/5): Fantastic getaway in the bush - Loved the special themed cottage and the wildlife. Amazing to hand feed all the animals. It was super clean and the brekkie hamper was delicious. We will be back. We loved everything
- Leonie (10/5): Exceptional - our first time here and wont be our last, it rained the whole time and was still wonderful, in the past I have never rated 10/10 for anywhere as I believe no place is absolutely perfect, but I give these cottages 10/10 everything was thought of, like fresh flowers, candles etc. nothing to say here
- Farley (9/5): Superb - Location, surrounds, hosts Shower
- Heather (10/5): If you need to get back to nature in comfort - this is for you. - Everything. I had two criteria - quiet and cool. Both boxes were ticked. Waking up in the middle of a rainforest was amazing, the wildlife was amazing and the property was so comfortable. I liked that I could cook, with a really kitted out kitchen, over Christmas. The breakfast hamper was abundant. Getting meal worms and pellets to feed the birds and local characters was a treat. Nothing
- Wendy (10/5): Magical - It’s location in the rainforest and the wildlife Nothing

- Ronald (10/5): Lovely rainforest stay - Really enjoyable stay in fully furnished cottage right inside the rainforest. Many different birds and animals to see close up. A wonderful stay. Highly recommended.
- Jenny (10/5): First class rainforest retreat - Loved being in the rainforest. The cottage was very well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. There was a fabulous photo book put together by the owners to assist with identifying birds and animals. The gorgeous town of Yungaburra was only a ten minute drive away and beautiful Lake Eacham only a couple of minutes. Generally everything was perfect. If I had to be really picky I was a bit concerned about feeding wild animals however the food provided was suitable and it did enhance the experience.
