• Reinhard (6/5): Inexpensive, if basic - It was relatively inexpensive. It is close to the wharf and a pub. On check in it was made clear that this was a basic room and that we could upgrade. The room was tucked into the back of the property, and had only the basic facilities. The more expensive rooms were better appointed and located. It was too far from town to walk there.

• Sue (8/5): We enjoyed our brief stay at this motel which was close to the attractions that we had come to see - This property was in a great location towards the end of the peninsula and near the Kaikoura Peninsula Walkway and Kaikoura Seal Colony - the historic Pier Hotel was also just across the road. It was disappointing that our unit didn't have a sea view.

Blick auf die Straße und nicht auf das Meer, nur 3 Apartments haben Blick aufs Meer, Nur ein Hotelrestaurant in der Nähe, fußläufig, für Einkäufe benötigt man ein Fahrzeug.

Walking was great and flat as. A drive into main shops 4 mins. Plenty of cutlery etc. Not just 2 of everything. Big shower. Nothing really.

We had a paid booking so were sent away until official afternoon opening time. The facility still had their vacancies sign showing, so we do wonder if the reception would have been the same if we were seeking a unit.

• Daniel (8/5): - Location is amazing. Room is comftable and clean exactly what you need for this area with easy parking. Bathroom window was left open with that door then to the bedoor open. The light was also on so when we arrived about 2am after the late ferry there where a lot fo bugs to kill. Not really a huge issue but effort, this was mentioned to the staff the next day and got a lovely email how they'll implement policy in the future to make sure this doesnt happen but worth mentioning.

• Johannes (8/5): Prima plek voor een verblijf in Kaikoura, goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding en praktische voorzieningen. - Prima motel met ruime comfortabele kamers en praktische voorzieningen en het restaurant van het hotel aan de overkant (The Pier Hotel) was erg goed. One kamer lag wel direct aan de weg en we hadden geen uitzicht op de zee.

• Ali (9/5): Basic friendly motel with good view - Good views of the bay (apt 7), friendly helpful staff, useful info on whale watching trip from Alex - there were tickets available on the day even tho all the agents seemed to say it was fully booked. Clean apartment, everything worked. A little out of town but nearer to cliff for great walk and seals. The lack of a proper duvet cover was v strange and, in my opinion, rather unhygienic.

We had the air conditioning unit straight out the bathroom window - unfortunately it was cooling the better positioned unit. We only got the noise, next door got the cooling. Only an ineffective cooler in our unit.

Hielp ons met de gevangen kreeft te koken op de buiten keuken. Komen hier erg graag weer Het weer zat wat tegen maar daar kan je niks aan doen. De accommodatie is super.
