We were in town for a last minute medical emergency and had no option but to stay there. Price gouging is alive and well at the Country Leisure Motor Inn.

The bed was nice and comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was great. Check in after hours was very easy. We were hoping for a swim given the hot weather but the main pool was very cloudy and the smaller round pool was green. So we went to the public pool instead.

• Blair (8/5): - I’ve stayed here several times now and it’s always been consistently good, which is why I keep coming back. The rooms are comfortable and well set up for travellers — a great shower with quality toiletries, easy parking, a convenient location, and a bed with genuinely comfortable pillows. After a long day of travelling, that kind of comfort really matters, and this place delivers every time. It’s also very reasonably priced for the standard offered. On this visit there was a minor issue with the door lock. It appeared to have been tampered with previously — possibly bent or damaged, as if someone had tried to force it with a tool. I mentioned it to management purely so their maintenance team could take a look. They were immediately apologetic and handled it exactly how you’d hope: no excuses, no runaround, just a clear “we’ll get onto it straight away.” That kind of straightforward response inspires confidence. Issues can happen anywhere, but how they’re handled makes all the difference. Combined with the comfort, reliability, and value, this remains my go-to place to stay whenever I’m in town, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return again.

The room is very clean and the bed, no itchiness and perfect softness. The inside of the room is very clean and looks newly renovated, but the outside, not so much. Would be perfect if the facade is also modernise.
