Guest Reviews
- Paul (10/5): Comfy in the Country - Lovely place in the country (on a farm), but just 20 minutes from Denmark or Albany. Sonia is a lovely host and the area is just beautiful. The chalet is spacious, well equipped and has a toasty wood heater for winter stays. Very happy guests!
- beverley (10/5): Great Stay! - While the chalet was quite a distance from Albany it was like coming back to an oasis. The picture windows provided an excellent view of the surrounding countryside, the fire made the chalet very cosy and the cooking and washing facilities were also excellent.
We'd definitely recommend this accommodation.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved the view and the atmosphere. Conveniently close to Denmark and Albany, but in the countryside and near some lovely beaches.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It is a good location in between farms . Kids love birds cows and quiteness
- Matt (10/5): - Great location close to the coast & West Cape Howe. Very cosy with wood fire, oil heaters & electric blankets, not cold at all in wintry weather.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very comfortable , clean and has all you need , even a good fry pan. Ideally placed between Denmark and Albany. Best walk from Cosy Corner to Dingo beach. Will stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We loved the location of the stay and the beautiful warm fire
- Nicole (10/5): Relaxing getaway. - Took a 3 night break down at Cosy Corner chalets, which is located on a private farming property. Chalet was spotlessly clean and everything is provided for your stay, loved the wood heater! Just bring some food although there is a lovely cafe down the road worth visiting. Totally surrounded by green fields, trees and cows with a gorgeous beach close by only a few minutes drive in the car.
Beautiful spot to just relax and close enough to explore both Albany and Denmark. Owner made contact before arrival to provide check in details.
Thoroughly recommend!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved the rural setting and the chalet was well designed to highlight the surrounds. It's not far from Cosy Corner beach for the kids and it's half-way between Albany and Denmark - so it was an ideal base for our travels no matter which direction we chose.
- Cosycornercabin (10/5): - A beautiful setting on a farm. Very peaceful and easily accessible. Everything you needed in a stay over.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful property setting looking towards west cape Howe national park. Very convenient washer/dryer.
Perfect little getaway!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful stay. Quiet, peaceful with extremely comfortable beds (didn't try the sofa bed). Soft good quality bed linen, full kitchen, spacious bathroom, washing machine, dryer, huge table, comfortable couches, large tv, dvds, hanging space/wardrobes, brilliant fireplace and well stocked wood pile. Undercover parking for one car. Clear instructions/communication notes within the chalet. You really feel you're away from it all with a stunning view of the farm and the sound of frogs and cows. Views are beautiful. Hard to believe you're only five minutes drive from a lovely beach, 25/30 minutes drive from Albany or Denmark. Fantastic communication from the host. Sonia is professional, warm and really knows what guests want - you receive quick responses to questions and great advice. The only feedback we could think of, and it's only a suggestion, would be small lamp/lamps in the lounge rather than "full" light, a blind in the kitchen (for anyone sleeping on the sofa bed, and maybe someway to hook up to wifi (purely to undertake a bit of research around the area). Please note these are NOT criticisms, we absolutely loved our stay and definitely will be back. Our daughter said the only thing "wrong" is that she wished we owned this chalet! After a bit of searching, we've now found the only place we wish to stay in this area and have already recommended the chalets to family and friends.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean and comfy chalet with great 180deg. View from the living room. The log fire 🔥 and a huge pile of free fire wood made our stay very comfy. Thank you Sonja for the hospitality! 😊
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We just wanted to "escape" the city for a few days - Cosy Corner Chalets were a great choice!
Located in a quiet spot - in summer would be absolutely awesome being close to the beach. Halfway between Denmark & Albany, off the main road, allowed easy access to the "sights" around the area.
The property is well maintained - clean & comfortable, with a extra of a washing machine & dryer added bonuses.
I would suggest a blind at the kitchen window, but will definitely stay here again in the future.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - When you woke up you were greated by the beautiful cows outside and the electric underlay ...heaven
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The setting for the chalets is beautiful. We all loved looking out at the green pastures, bushland and cows. Our stay was in winter and it was so relaxing to come home from exploring, start a fire and relax in the peace and quiet.
The chalets are only 5 minutes or so from a beautiful beach, and there are so many others to explore in the area. Dolphins and whales everywhere.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - An extremely peaceful place with beautiful views.
The only dislike was the drinking water. You need to use bottle water for a cuppa.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - What a perfect location, property and experience. Everything you could need in a stay, and those special personalised touches like having the fire lit for when we arrived was magic. Great communication and care. This is one we will be booking again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice dairy farm stay, good spot for travelling between Denmark and Albany.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful, quiet location with everything we needed in the chalet.
- Olli (10/5): - Großes Ferienhaus (self-containted) mit viel Platz. Liegt abgeschieden zwischen Feldern. Kühe und Vögel vor der Tür. Top ausgestattet inkl. Waschmaschine und Tümmler. Modern und hübsch eingerichtet, ansprechend. Gute Küche. Carport. Das war unsere zweitliebste Unterkunft während unseres 4-wöchigen Australien-Aufenthalts.
- Denise (8/5): - Have been a few times and always found it to be clean and tidy. No problems with getting keys or contacting caretakers.
- Reanna (10/5): - We had a lovey stay at Cosy Corner Chalets. The chalet was clean and tidy and close to both Denmark and Albany, making it easy to explore the area.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - If you are after peace and quiet this place provides ample of it! Was perfect for my family consisting of a 6 month old baby who loved looking at the cows. Looking forward to staying here again!
- Fei (10/5): - Clean and spacious. Has everything we need. Good washer and dryer. Cosy and homely. Excellent!
- David (10/5): - I iked the location. I liked the rural/rustic appeal. Good views from the large windows.
- Jen (8/5): Cosy Stay - The stay was excellent but we missed the Internet.
- Faval (4/5): Not so cozy. - We arrived late and had a little trouble locating the facility. No problem with key it was as advised.
We were quite disappointed in what we found compared to the previous reviews.
The outside is badly presented
The place is dirty, badly maintained and the only heating is a wood fire which us probably great fir winter not so good fir the cool spring nights.
Depending which mobile provider that one has there is virtually no communications available.
The bathroom is mouldy and the shower curtain too. Short to stop water egressing from hob.
There is only one towel per person and no face washers or fhand towels .
Overall a very poor establishment which needs quite a bit TLC and updating.
- Verified traveler (8/5): 2 issues - We had just 2 issues, one was the water gave us stomach problems so we bought bottled water. The other was there was little space around the cabins for the kids to play. Other than that, it was an enjoyable stay and the place was really sufficient for our stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice little Chalet, peaceful and close to beach - We stayed in one of the chalets to attend a wedding at Cosey Corner beach. There was my husband, our 7 month old and I. The staff were friendly and the chalet was clean and practical, with most things you would require during a stay. The location is great, just off the road, tucked away so you feel you have your privacy whilst enjoying a nice view. It is close to the beach and perfect for a small family away for a laid back weekend.
- Jan and Ros (10/5): A surprisingly modern chalet on farmland - Very modern fully equipped chalet with tile fire (wood already cut and ready for use!) 2 double rooms and everything you could want - only needed to provide food.
- Neilo (10/5): Awesome, as per the photo. Next to cow field, moo. - As expected, self catering with a decent ammount of kitchen stuff for those of you who like to cook...
- sal and di (10/5): - Nicely situated close to everything and lovely outlook
- Christine (8/5): Relax and listen to the birds - Very enjoying and relaxing, beautiful rural setting.
- Sally (8/5): Cosy Rural Cabin - Beautiful rural setting with cattle close by. Wood fired heater gives a cosy atmosphere. Well equipped kitchen, though no dishwasher. Situated between Denmark and Albany making it a great base to explore the whole area including Porungorup NP.
- Emmie (10/5): Chalet close to Denmark and the beach - Who wants to be in the centre of town when you can have a hidden treasure, close to the beach and farms, like this.
Wood fire place. Cosy like the title says. Buy some local seafood and white wine (reisling is the best in the area) from town then cook your own dinner at the comfort of your own home. Take leftovers with you for the following day at the bay. Perfect!
- Mitch (10/5): Fantastic location, cosy, warm, comfortable. - Absolutely lovely location off the main road sitting between picturesque green paddocks with the ocean only a 2 minute drive away. Full kitchen, laundry with washer and dryer, plenty of space with a dining table, 2 couches, main bedroom with double bed and 2 single beds in a separate room. The wood fire makes the cottage cosy, plenty of wood supplied, everything we needed to have a private stay, quiet, comfortable and a lovely setting.
