• Jennie (5/5): Between fair and good. - At least the room was not cold with good weather. The bed was fine. Bathroom good supply of hot water and drained water was good. I think the room was just too old. And we could not find the heater a good thing we had good weather while staying in Christchurch. The bathroom with just shower curtain, no rack for hand towels or face towels. The toilet set cover would not stand up.

Warm, comfy but didn’t top anything up like tea and coffee ect other than towels - Location was great, warm rooms and comfy beds but bad hot water in the shower and Netflix didn’t work Staff looked grumpy all the time and house keeping after saying no to them coming in opened the door and walked in all while saying ‘WHAT’ or ’HUH’ while talking over us. Then shut the door and were grumpy. The one day they did come in during our stay they came in around 4pm after we left for the evening and didn’t change the bed sheets or top up the tea/coffee only clean towels which isn’t the end of the world but still not great service. Staff not very welcoming either

• Wayne (7/5): Short stay to pick up visitor from England - Spacious , staff very helpful, appreciated laundry service, close to a mall (Northlands) and supermarket. Staff remedied any problems straight away. Not fully equipped, paid a little more than expected due to busy weekend in Christchurch (better value at normal pricing)

• Andrew (4/5): Poor. - It was clean and was easy to find. The lady on reception was friendly. Unit 15 has a connecting door to the adjacent room. It is not soundproofed. Two large dogs were left unattended through the evening. They barked at any disturbance. Their owners were noisy upon their return. Worst of all was their phone alarm went off from a bit after 3am repeatedly at 15 minute intervals. It was as if the alarm was in our room. I would not return ever again.

She eventually showed me the screen and I saw it immediately. On reflection I realised she was looking for my Christian name not my surname. Fortunately I had a printout of the booking confirmation and was able to convince her.

• Faithful Pilgrim (6/5): Fairly basic accommodation at a medium price with helpful, friendly service. - Friendly, personal service - she went out of her way to help us. Comfortable bed, Good drapes kept out early morning light. Situated close to where we wanted to be. Computerised booking made it difficult and confusing for older people. Shower room - lack of isolation of the shower made the floor cold and wet, difficult to keep our clothes dry. The price was in the medium range, but the facilities were minimal in comparison. Only very basic TV and no film channels provided.

• Steve (4/5): I will avoid this motel again. - The check-in welcome was good. This is an old and well-worn motel (although it was as clean as it could be). It has several permanent residents, some with dogs. My door latch and lock were wobbly and not secure.

• Lupe (9/5): A pleasant stay - Good location. Helpful staff. We had lots of room. We asked for a ground floor room. We paid extra for it but it was worth our money. Beds were comfortable. Place a bit old, but it was very clean.

• Huata (1/5): - Despite the poor service, and after a dispute with the manager, she has agreed to refund me, through the booking.com system. After traveling from Whangarei to Auckland and then Auckland to Christchurch, I was informed on arrival that I could not stay in my booked room due to bed bugs. I was offered an upgraded room, which had a dirty bathroom and broken window latches. I received no prior email or phone call, leaving me stranded on arrival. Not sure how this company is still operating.

• Tracy (6/5): It was very close to where we needed to be, for 2 nights it was a pleasant stay and good price. - It was very close to St Bedes, Pak n save and a number of eating places - pubs, curry, the location was a huge bonus for us and couldn't fault the cleaning. The broken/not working blind as you turn in the drive is not very welcoming and the kitchen unit was not the best as the hot water cylinder must have leaked at some stage and had warped everything, and it didn't look great. But again I can't fault the cleanliness of the place.
• Thesimz17 (5/5): Good cleaning required - The location and the car park is the only thing I liked about this Motel. It seems like the room had been painted recently, but someone did a very poor job—there was paint everywhere on the edges of the carpet and paint drops all over the carpet. The carpet was dirty, and both the floor and bathroom were unclean as well. There was mould in the shower, and the extractor fan didn’t work either. I recommend using the product 'Exit Mould' for cleaning. Additionally, the motel didn’t accept American Express, even though Booking.com states that it does. It’s better to pay online while booking. The motel also charged a percentage fee for credit card payments. Cleanliness is definitely needed at this motel—or at least in the room I stayed in. I didnt feel it was worth the price i paid. I feel ripped off. Note: I was going to mention all this at the reception during check out but no one was there. Just drop key in the box for check out.
• Karyn (10/5): I was very impressed as this team have just taken over this hotel and did their very best to make my - The staff couldn't have been more helpful. My room was huge! The bathroom was a good size too. There wasn't anything I didn't like
• Abbey (5/5): Passable - The room looked very clean, was great size and had everything we could have needed. Personal courtyard was very over grown - we're fenced but could still see into other courtyards (not great when you have dogs). Room + bathroom both smelt of cigarettes and cheap perfume, made me feel quite sick. Unfortunately enough for me to not book again.
• Boyed (8/5): Great location, clean, quiet, affordable, pet friendly.and staff excellent - Close to good amenities. Clean and quiet. A few minor things but discussed them with management.
