This time around, the room had been recently renovated and was spacious, fresh and clean. The location is fantastic to walk into town and around the local open space along the river. The parking spaces are tight for larger vehicles, there is ample street parking on the side street if it's an issue.

The breakfast kitchen and advertised Italian restaurant were closed for renovations but there was no mention of it prior to arrival, at check in or even in guest compendium. - peter (4/5): Disappointing about the noise - Location was fine construction site wasn’t quite what we wanted Lots of noise on the Sunday when we arrived being part construction site and then Monday morning a petrol driven water blaster was at our balcony door at 9 o’clock. Someone banging on our door at 8 o’clock to tell us this was going to happen.

The 16 steps up to our room were very difficult for 74 year olds carrying luggage. The kitchen was closed for renovation so no breakfast or dinner available. The TV was a nightmare to navigate & firstly we couldn’t even get it powered up. Rang the office & a staff member came. Someone had turned it off at the wall but the power switch was on top of the cupboard which required said staff member to climb onto a chair, climb onto the bench & switch it on. Unbelievable. See the above. We will never stay there or recommend it to anyone.

Having stayed at another motels in the area at a similar price point, we can confidently say that this one truly stands out. The motel has been newly renovated, with clean, modern rooms and excellent facilities that made our stay very comfortable. What really made the experience exceptional, however, was the service. The host was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and genuinely hospitable, which made us feel right at home. Overall, the Vine Motel offers outstanding value for money. We had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-run place to stay.

- N7441HEpeterb (8/5): Ok, but. - The room was clean and the linen fresh. Recently renovated with new beds that were comfortable. Light switch was a challenge to find and no separate lighting options. One on, all on. Same with the TV, there's a switch near the bed. New reasonably stocked kitchen cupboards with the usual utensils, but the sink leaked into the cupboard below. The bathroom was new too and again the basin leaked into the cupboard below and onto the floor at your feet. Hot water is available on a 2 minute cycle. Showering became a sporting event.

The vanity basin leaked into the cupboard below, then onto the floor. The hot water flowed in 2 minute intervals making a shower a sport. Doors need a shoulder to close. Front door was left open after the cleaner couldn't close properly. It took a while to find the light switch and you can't separate any area. All or nothing.

- Razznscar (10/5): Excellent little getaway, value for money, great friendly staff, beautiful renovated rooms. - Hotel was easy to find, check in was friendly, helpful and easy to follow instructions, room was beautifully freshly renovated, and the furniture and items around the room had the hotel name on it, it looked very professional and upmarket, the technology in the room for lights and power points ECT was a delight and easy to use. We will be back and will also highly recommend to family and friends. Nothing we didn't like, everything was perfect.. but I would like to mention in room 6, the shower may need more silicone around the base near the toilet as it leaked under the glass when we showered. And maybe a suggestion of reflective tape down the posts where you park, they were a little hard to see at night.

- Leah (8/5): Comfortable and value for money stay. - The location was within walking distance to town, including eateries and supermarkets. The rooms were newly renovated, clean and comfortable. plenty of off-street, under carport parking available. Friendly, helpful staff. There needed to be some dishwashing liquid and a cloth for washing up. There was a tea towel but nothing else to use. Some cupboards were missing handles, and the electricity and light switches flashed all night. If you took the key out of the wall the electricity turned off and the switches stopped flashing, but you could not have the air-conditioner on if you did that.

The room is quite spacious and has an outdoor sitting area which viewed the gardens. The room was very clean and neat, but had a lingering odor I couldn't place. It was marked as a non smoking room, but maybe the previous tenant ignored that.

Friendly staff and it's in a great location. Walking distance to the main street and Annas Restaurant The pillows were very flat. The pad with lights tv and ac probably would be better by the door.

- SandyT45098 (2/5): Absolutely dreadful - The owners seemed nice at first but turns out they are awful people the place was falling apart shower overflowing causing the bathroom too flood power points falling out of the walls towel rails loose and wonky, carpet hadn’t been laid properly causing myself to nearly trip on the bulges in the carpet. all in all would not recommend staying here. All this just after they have renovated the whole place definitely a 2 out of 10. Owner also seems very abusive towards his workers. No one wants to hear that while they’re staying there. The noise from the renovations go way past 5 o’clock so noise doesn’t stop until 7-8 pm. It’s just beyond a joke.

- William (9/5): A great, convenient place to stay with lovely service. Highly recommend the Vines Motel - Such a convenient place to stay. Easy to find, recently renovated and an easy walk to town. Staff were more than happy to accommodate my asks which made the stay even easier.

Room was okay for one night. - Convenient location close to town Easy check in/ check out and friendly reception staff Hot shower and good water pressure Free wifi and complimentary milk provided Parking available onsite Room smelt like smoke Bathroom wasn’t clean, toilet was dirty and there was hair and a disposable razor in the shower from previous guest Strange wet spot on the carpet Only one towel provided on bed for 2 guests (it’s the small things that count too) There were no batteries in the tv remote ( but easily sorted with a visit to reception) Room advertised as having balcony however it was a table and chair outside the front door overlooking the parking
