- Wiremu (4/5): - The rooms smelt very musty like an old persons house and the shower was terrible. Couldn’t get the right balance between hot and cold at all. I paid 150$ a night and it was worth about 60$ a night just absolute shocking. One time while I was out they cleaned my room and made my bed but forgot to lock the door. I had hundred of dollars worth of gaming equipment in the room and they just forgot to lock it. The place is a 3 out of 10 and o would only recommend staying here if it’s absolutely necessary.
- Tania (4/5): - We booked two studios. The location is excellent however the rooms have a lot of issues. We had broken drawers, no tea towels, no facecloths, no toilet roll holder, broken towel rail, expired milk sachets, no storage in one room, no sky but sign says has 60 sky channels, broken light switches and power outlets were disfigured, dirty cups, dishwashing liquid in Pepsi and Powerade bottles, 1 pillow each on bed per person. If you want a cheap motel to just sleep overnight and spend little time in then that’s fine but really needs some TLC and updating.

Advertised as having 50+ sky channels but not in our room. No hair dryer, the coffee maker was an electric jug. Not great.

- Joanna (6/5): Simple and welcoming - The host was welcoming and the unit was tidy. It was an older part of the complex but the room was suitable for an overnight stay. I have stayed here previously in the newer units which are nice. Unfortunately, the hot water did not work which was frustrating for showers in the morning. Hopefully that was fixed after our stay.

There was slimy marks on the walls and also a lipstick kiss mark above the headboard. The rubbish bin was broken. There was burn marks on the duvet. And the shower door rollers were rusted and not moving.

I didn't like that there was no hair dryer, and the curtains in the shower didn't keep the water out of the other areas of the bathroom, meaning the entire bathroom was totally wet after each shower.

- Peter (10/5): Pleasant with only minor issue, - Was comfortable and relatively quite. My only gripe really was not being notified of the late hours check in (only 19:30 when states open until 21:00). Once a phone call was made, code entered into after hours box, key in hand and straight to room. Parking is a bit tight as there aren't enough off street for every room. Will stay again when next in Wellington.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Another rip off. - The money was taken before we arrived. He called our room an upgrade it was an old house down the back nothing like the picture in the publicity. Yet again a motel servicing emergency housing. Will not be using motels again.

None of the bedside lights worked, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned (hairs in the shower from the last person) an almost finished roll of toilet paper with no spare anywhere. The pull out sofa bed had a badly stained mattress and it didn't have enough bedding for warmth, although when we asked for extra bedding it was given cheerfully. I wouldn't stay there again and will not be taken in by the room picture on the screen.

But it was cold, old, did not have the advertised dishwasher, the TV remote control had flat batteries, and the toilet cistern did not stop filling unless you opened the lid and manually lifted the ballcock. The cottage was nothing like any of the pictures on the web site.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The front desk people were nice, and I'm sure the studio rooms are great (as the picture shows) but they had overbooked & I was put in #12 instead, which is essentially an old house - way to big for one person (there were 2 bedrooms with 5 beds between them and another 2 single beds in the lounge). My issues came about with the condition of the house - the mouldy smell was overwhelming & closed my chest, mould on bathroom roof & walls, a hole in the bathroom floor covered by laminate material, shower head held together by tape (although the water pressure was good), torn curtains & stained carpets. A general 'eww' factor for me. I think #12 needs alot of work in order to make it habitable (and healthy) for accomodation.

Then we were given a newer room which was definitely better but we found rubbish on the bathroom floor ( scrunched up aluminium foil) and the Skybox remote was missing.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room was sad, dirty unloved and outdated. I got out as soon as I could the next morning. The light of day revealed an even more disappointing onlook.

On arrival, the room they gave me hadn’t even been made up so I had to wait around for them to finish cleaning a room. “Clean” is clearly not understood at this motel. Hairs in the bathroom sink, the tiled wall in the kitchen was filthy, a glass was still wet and had lipstick on it and the dishwash brush and cloth should have been replaced months ago. Beware, these same people own the Midway motel and Settlers motel next door. They have two cleaners for all of these....they should be ashamed of themselves.

The place was clean but there was graffiti on furniture, the toilet was leaking and it was like an old state house from the 80s. Not very *executive* or anything like the photos. the staff was friendly though.

- Verified traveler (4/5): - Booked for three, my partner, son and me. Pull out Queen sofa fine but no sheets to put on the bed. Told them in the morning but was told I should have rung the bell but ferry arrived late and we got there 11.45 pm didn't want to wake anyone at that time of night.

- eliseprovis (2/5): Overpriced, Awful, unclean. - I was booked in for the $139 executive suite, standard studio room. I was put in room 11. Dust, ants, mould on the bathroom door which was not fit for purpose - it was more like a pantry cupboard door. Bathroom sink beside the bed. Tv wouldn’t work, microwave didn’t work either as the cables were broken and wiring exposed. Shower plug blocked so I was basically having a bath by the time I finished showering. Strange service - Very unhelpful when I asked to upgrade my room at my own expense (I was on a work trip). The other people on my business course were booked in for the $159 suites which, for the minimal price difference, was vastly better. It doesn’t make much sense to me how they can charge what they did for the shoebox I was in. Bushes were overgrown outside my window so I couldn’t open my small windows unless I wanted bugs for Africa in my room. I have never stayed in such a bad motel in New Zealand.
- Michelle (2/5): - Do not be fooled! The use of the word "Executive" in the name is completely inappropriate. Run down, tired, ant infected, poorly maintained property. We requested a room change but they were fully booked. We left and found somewhere different.

- Terry (2/5): - Worst stay ever, check in useless. Hotel couldn’t find my booking, told me to pay again when I paid already. No effect from staff to assist. Average facilities, for what hotel charges it’s not worth.
- Christine (6/5): - Nothing like we expected from the website but it worked for us as a large group. The property certainly needs some work done to tidy it up.....mildew on the window sills and terrible curtains that would not close very well.
- Jeremy_S48NZ (2/5): Dirty, Ant ridden, Rude service - Do not be fooled - the photos show the new block, but they will put you in the old wooden rooms, drafty, dirty, smelly and cold. Booked for 6 people and arrived to find only 5 beds, requested extra towels and blankets and only received an extra blanket on day 2. The kitchen was over run with ants, when speaking to the staff they were rude and un-helpful , saying that we booked online not with them so wasn't their problem. Couch had broken arms, the table was wobbly and only held together with a few screws, the tv constantly came up with an error code no HD as it was a basic tv unable to handle to HD Sky tv feed. Will never stay here again!!!

Work up in the morning to the biggest ant infestation Ive ever seen, and I wondered why I was itching all night. Tried to complain, was told the manager would call me, still waiting, obviously don't care

I asked to be moved and was refused - I was there 4 nights. The room run out of soap and toilet paper and was not re-stocked in the entire time. I will NEVER stay here again.
