Guest Reviews
- Stephen (10/5): - Great affordable motel
- Trudy (8/5): - Clean and tidy basic motel. Suited our needs for a 1 night stay.
- James (8/5): - It was a cold and rainy evening, i arrived cold and wet on a motorcycle, i was hoping the air conditioning would be warm and toasty so i could thaw out and warm up, the ac didnt seem to have reverie cycle so i had to just get into bed and try to warm up, the place wasnt perfect however still very reasonable, good price and staff very pleasant and friendly, thankyou
- Malcolm (8/5): - Good Clean Basic Accommodation
- Max (10/5): - Good clean rooms to stay in for work.
- Wilma (8/5): - Convenient for me, close to my daughter. Walkable in a nice area.
- Adrienne (4/5): - Parking limited on uneven ground. Facilities poor & outdated. No bathroom sink space. Very noisy with traffic & other guests.
- Les (4/5): - On the morning before our check-in the motel manager called and asked what time we would arrive. I said I was unsure but expected about 5pm. As check-in was from 2pm and we got there at 3.30pm we tried to check-in then but the manager told us he had rented our room short time until 4.30pm so we had to come back after 4.30pm and he took $10 off the cost of the room. We were unhappy but had no choice and came back and checked in at 4.45pm. The motel is old and run-down but the room was clean albeit with a strange smell. We did not have a good night's sleep as the motel is on the corner of Ipswich Road and Durack street and many vehicles and motorbikes turning into Durack street rev hard to get up the hill and the sound of roaring engines woke us up many times. We would never stay there again.
- Ron (6/5): - Tv didn’t have aerial. No bed lamps. 3 of 4 Power points at bed didn't work. One did with jiggling. Main light ugly led. Yuk. Wifi worked. Bed comfortable. Noisy location but its only traffic. Typical cheap rate motel. You get what you pay for and I'm relatively poor so i have to accept that. I bet every other hotel at this rate has its own problems. It must be hard to make money running these places.
- Johanna (10/5): - Clean and tidy room. Convenient location and easy to park.
Happy, cheerful staff.
- Sarah (10/5): - Easy, convenient, clean, comfy and nice staff
- John. R. (10/5): - Just one thing the TV Antennas was playing up of ABC channel.
The room is while nice & clean, sheet nice white.
The other side the staircase need a handrails.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Do Not stay in this hotel - It was dirty and smelled like sewerage it was disgusting. We had gone to a party that night and when we got back to the room the smell of sewerage and tobacco was overwhelming so we packed our bag and drove 2 hours to get home. I would never recommend the hotel really disgusting.
- Grace (6/5): - The room was clean and spacious. The towels thin but adequate.
I didn't like some minor things like: a hole in the wall or broken power point in the bathroom, no exhaust fan in the bathroom, the wall light was missing a cover.
The noise from the main road was not as bad as I thought would be.
Not bad place to stay for the price , if you are not too fussy.
- Brenton (10/5): - Great place, affordable,0and quick check in
- Jill (8/5): - Had to ask for donna and towel for extra person that I had paid for ?
- zhi (8/5): - handy
- Gayle (8/5): - Our stay was good room was serviced every day being on a main road so was noisy but we expected that 400 hundred metres up the side street at Moorooka shopping strip was Woolworths and plenty of shops good that there was underground parking and access from the street without having to use the stairs
- Pamela (6/5): - Close to main road therefore a bit noisy. Had to ask for extra coffee and sugar. The man on reception a little surly.
- Henry (8/5): - Great place for one night and for the value for money. The only concern was the fridge was leaking water which cause the tiles to become a bit slippery.
All in all - great staff and good for the one night I needed.
- Kerry-Ann (4/5): - The property was old and not what we were expecting. It was clean but It looked better on the website. Air con wasn’t working and it was far too hot to stay the night. We left after 1.5 hr. Tv didn’t have the capacity to stream Netflix or stan or prime. You couldn’t even link your phone up the Tv. Property was noisy as you could hear the cleaner sweeper. I had also booked and you were suppose to pay at property the property had already taken the charge before I had arrive. So we had no choice but to go through with the booking. I would not recommend this hotel if you are wanting air con and quiet place to sleep and the ability to watch streaming services from your phone.
- Simon (8/5): Shop around - Room 7 -
Pros: Comfy bed, staff friendly, shower has good water pressure and couch was comfortable.
Cons: Dodgy tv reception from rabbit ear antenna, cold water tap fell off, PowerPoint in bathroom didn't work, residents hang their laundry all over the shared balcony rail to dry including underwear etc, gardens unkept, weed ridden and ugly. Steep for $140 a night but comfortable enough.
- Assunta (10/5): - Very clean and staff were very nice. Simple accommodation but walking distances to shops, pubs etc. Would definitely stay there again.
- Paul (8/5): - Great cheap clean place to stay, good location if you need to do work or business in the area.
- Wendy (2/5): - Never again
- Helen (10/5): - We felt safe and well looked after. We would stay there again.
- William (8/5): - Close to a main road so a little noise but room was comfortable and clean. I’ll happily stay again
- Kristy (6/5): - The place was really good but when it came back to giving to despot back geee it's taken nearly a week and still didn't get the hole lot back
- Rachel (10/5): - It was very clean affordable and within walking distance to everything.
- peter (8/5): - Good location. Has potential to be a great motel.
- Tammy (6/5): - Premises were clean and tidy. No complaints was only staying overnight and my room was per perfectly adequate
- James (6/5): - It is close to my work.
- Robert (8/5): - Liked it’s accessibility to nearby suburbs
- Grant (2/5): - They say under cover parking but there are more rooms than car parks. Also it was impossible to sleep after 5am due to excessive street and car noise.
- Corie (2/5): - Dirty, smashed cars in the carpark, unsafe, noisy, someone was in the room I checked into having a shower. I left and went to another hotel. Give me my money back!!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Room 6 - Microwave didn’t work so had to use the managers luckily they were okay with me bringing my food over to heat up. Later the first night they brought around a replacement :)
- Glen (10/5): - Easy access to where we had to go
- Glynn (10/5): - very happy and so much more cleaner than others in the area
- Kaylene (6/5): - The motel was clean and it was convenient.
We would have liked an extra pillow, as I there were only 2 pillows and they were quite small
It also would had been great to have a hairdryer in the room.
- Suzanne (10/5): - Everything was good, spoke to Manager to confirm timing, friendly, good position close to shopping etc.
- Robyn (8/5): - Close to where we needed to be in the morning. Offstreet parking. Short walk to supermarket and brilliant small restaurants. Spotlessly clean. polite friendly staff.
Noisy highway with the sound mitigated by interesting double glazing.
- Rainer (4/5): - This has been one of the least attractive motels we have stayed in. The location is very noisy (lots of traffic day and night). There was lots of noise from fellow guests in adjacent rooms making it difficult to sleep. Parking was also poor. - We will never stay at this motel again.
- Geoff (4/5): - The traffic noise was terrible and unrelenting - even with all the windows shut. Not even the two layers of windows at the front didn't make much difference.
- Serge (8/5): - Shower leaking, air conditioner not working correctly, tv remote not working.
- Melodee (6/5): - Very very very basic facilities, but at least it was clean.
- Jerry (6/5): - Undercover parking was appreciated.
- James (4/5): - Things falling apart in the rooms
- Wendy (8/5): - Clean with helpful staff
- Mark (6/5): - Batteries in remotes for tv and heater on 2 rooms were flat. Kettle had things growing in it.
- James (8/5): - The TV had no captions. I am deaf and need captions. Because there were no captions I could not access TV.
- Phillip (4/5): - Booked to the monday and got a call on sunday demanding payment for an extra day. Very poor attitude
- Robert (6/5): - Shower very tricky to manipulate. Load banging in adjacent unit at 5:00 am.
- Shannon (4/5): - Found previous users clothing and cockroaches in microwave
- Glenys (8/5): - This motel is good value for the price. It is simple, clean, included microwave, toaster, fridge etc. It is located on a busy road and the traffic was noisy until about 11pm, but then eased off until 6am. As I say good value for the price and I would stay here again.
- Dorothy (8/5): - Drivable to all directions of Queensland. Room basic but clean. Week's stay must request service. Free parking available but limited.
- Yvonne (8/5): - Nice big room. Clean and comfortable. Good for an overnight stay. Would happily stay again.
Outside grounds need a tidy up and this would make it much more appealing at first sight.
- William A (10/5): - nice spacious unit, helpful manager !!
- Altino (6/5): - Close to the shops especially if you dont have transport
- Chris (2/5): - Broken shower head.
Domestic disputes next door.
Noisy
- Tracy (4/5): - basic,very very basic
- Virginia (2/5): - Nothing
- Silvia (6/5): - Friendly and helpful staff. Can be cleaner.
- Tammy (8/5): - Clean and tidy. Friendly helpful staff. Had everything I needed.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Tired shabby looking motel..very noisy as on end next to road..unfriendly at check in
- Rosa (8/5): - The property is clean and neat with friendly staff, it is a simple place, we chose this due to access to some of the shops of our preference in the area.
- Rosann (6/5): - Cost was reasonable. Facilities fine. Just too close to Ipswich road noise.
- Keith (6/5): - Clean, comfortable, older style accommodation. Good value for short stay
- Alice (10/5): - First all i enjoyed staying there and the people and the owner are friendly and peaceful apart of the traffic on the roads.
- Belinda (6/5): - Room was clean. Staff were lovely. Bit noisy with traffic. Mattress on bed was quite hard not comfortable
- Mathias (6/5): - Nice
- Marg (6/5): - Parking was a plus.
For a room to have a microwave & fridge plus toaster and kettle, it was strange there was no crockery or cutlery. There was also no hairdryer. It was a bit odd and not a great location (I am unfamiliar with Brisbane so didn't book with knowledge of the suburb.)
- Em (4/5): - Room is not cozy
- Louise (8/5): - Wifi wasnt the best however the accomodation definitely served its purpose and you cant get much closer to the ciry for a cheap accomodation solution.
- Kerrilyn (8/5): - Friendly helpful people, clean rooms.
- scott (2/5): - Made a booking through Expidia, arrived and was fully book.
- Clayton (6/5): - Good location and price
- Susan (10/5): - Large, clean, upgraded facilities.
- Tony (10/5): - Courteous helpful mother and daughter team. Would stay again
- William (8/5): - Was very conveniently positioned for my stay but the road noise was quite annoying. Wasn’t to big a deal for me personally tho.
- sharlene (8/5): - The rooms were simple yet spacious. Owners were lovely and very accommodating, will definitely stay again
- Robert (6/5): - Very noisy location
- Michael (8/5): - Friendly staff
- Benjamin (10/5): - Fantastic! Reception was sooo friendly and helpful, spacious rooms very clean comfortable bed. The motel is next to a busy road if youre a light sleeper however this didnt disrupt me personally.
- Jessica (2/5): - Noisey shower head broke beds uncomfortable one pillow
- Doug (6/5): - Clean and tidy. Road noise a hassle. Noise from adjourning unit of blaring TV.
- Malcolm (8/5): - Basic, affordable, and convenient. Not for those bothered by traffic noise
- Selena (10/5): - For $95 a night its pretty good. Although the place has aged its still comfortable. The rooms are spacious and vlean. I found my stay to be worth it. The negative factors are traffic nearby and no use of washing or drying for clothes. The people who run it were very helpful. Will stay again.
- Rodney (8/5): - Very clean and easy to access room.
Didn't like noise and cramped parking.
- Natasa (10/5): - clean,staff very friendly
thanks
- Aravei (8/5): - Peaceful
- marijana (10/5): - Large rooms. Clean and tidy.
- Michael (8/5): - it was good not great but good
- Rachael (4/5): - I came to recover after surgery at a close private hospital. The staff were friendly and helpful. The TV did not work, the milk was off, there was flies inside the kettle of water, its right on a highway intersection and so loud i wasn't able to sleep with truck brakes etc. Prostitites and a halfway house. Not desirable at all a really bad motel.
- Darryl (6/5): - Free undercover parking. Location. Large room. Great shower. Quiet area.
- Tracey (2/5): - We arrived at 6:30pm expecting to be able to check in as the info i received said only to contact if checking in later than 9pm to find the office closed. I rang the number provided and was advised that they were out at dinner and to go elsewhere until they were back at 8:30pm. I asked for a refind and was told i couldn't have one but could go to another motel/hotel. I left and arrived at back at the motel at 8:30pm again having to wait for their arrival along with at least 3 other customers. Their service is not acceptable. If they are supposed to he open and are not going to be there then someine else should have been tbere to check their customers in. To be told to leave and come back along being told tjey wpuld happily keep my paument foe the room but to go elsewhere is totally rude and bad management.
- Letitia Faryha de (8/5): - Very clean inside the room. The property is old and needs a revamp. Got only one pillow per person on the bed. No spare pillows anywhere in the room to use.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - No complaints
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The price was good but you defentily pay for what you get the rooms are not very clean and the air conditioning vents were veru dusty
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything is good
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Staff were nice and friendly, and the bed was very comfortable. 👍
