Guest Reviews
- Edith (8/5): Comfortable with all the amenities - The first thing I noticed was ironed bed linen.
comfortable bed and pillows.
The room was roomy with couch and TV
Very well stocked kitchen ..
lovely waking up and being in the countryside wish we had time for a walk ..
- Ryan (10/5): Perfect couples weekend away - Great location with a very relaxing environment.
The lovely dog was great too Nothing
- Hugh (9/5): - Perfect vibe. Well decorated and appointed. Ideal for a 2 or3 day break away. Fully self contained with all facilities you would need. Verandah has good Outlook, private. Nothing.
The photos make it appear smaller than it actually is. It is very comfortable for 2 people.
- Elsa (10/5): - The grounds are beautiful. Such a lovely, secluded location for a relaxing getaway. The room. Was newly renovated and well appointed with everything you could need. I would definitely stay there again.
- Ritesh (10/5): Heaven - Pericoe Retreat is, without exaggeration, an oasis. Having previously worked with Hyatt, I hold hospitality to exacting standards—and this property surpassed them with ease. The attention to detail is impeccable: from immaculate cleanliness to a thoughtfully stocked kitchen and minibar, complemented by premium bathroom amenities and luxurious linens. Every element is curated with care, creating a genuine and lasting “wow” factor.
In stark contrast, our recent stay at Hyatt Hotel Canberra was deeply disappointing, which only heightened our appreciation for the excellence we experienced here.
After five or six visits to Dubbo marked by largely average or underwhelming accommodations, Pericoe Retreat came as a truly delightful surprise. The property itself is stunning, offering a swimming pool, barbecue area, tennis court, and even friendly animals that my children absolutely adored. Breakfast was delicious, and the hosts were warm, gracious, and sincerely accommodating.
What began as hesitation from my children about staying “in the middle of nowhere” quickly transformed into pure joy—they simply didn’t want to leave. That phrase, in truth, is nothing more than a playful exaggeration. The retreat is conveniently close to the city centre, yet feels worlds apart in its tranquillity and charm.
This will, without question, be our preferred destination whenever we return to Dubbo. A truly memorable and exceptional experience. The pictures in booking.com doesn’t do justice, this place is undoubtedly like heaven.
- Amanda (10/5): Great place to relax - Everything was beautiful including the owners It was perfect
- Georgia (9/5): Overall it was a good stay just wish the person I was on the phone to was a bit more patient - The room was very nice and I loved being greeted by the dog It wasn’t to do with the property but I got lost on the way to it and called up and the person I was on the phone to spoke really rudely to me and wasn’t much help. My maps took me to a Cassandra drive and told me the property was next to me when there was nothing there so I called up to get some help and the person on the phone seemed pretty short tempered and rude to me, so I ended up just giving and called my parents to help me find my way there. As someone who isn’t even 20 yet and is autistic this was very stressful for me and very much overwhelmed me.
- Andrew (10/5): Perfect getaway in a quiet and tranquil setting - Quiet, secure, spotlessly clean, had the best sleep in years with no street noise, etc Nothing
- Hayley (10/5): - Beautiful location and amazing people!
- Tanya (9/5): Not just a stopover! - Ross and Kem were so helpful and friendly! The view from the common area was so relaxing! Breakfast was amazing!! It's a destination in it's own right, although it was a stopover for me. Google Maps took me to the wrong place! Not the hosts fault, though, and they warned me!

- Andrew (10/5): A wonderfully warm and inviting rural oasis full of charm and relaxing comfort - Pericoe Retreat is a wonderful rural oasis that has charm, atmosphere and relaxing comfort. The hosts Kem and Ross were fantastic (as was the very adorable Bailey the border collie), engaging and helpful - a wonderful stay that I could not have been be happier with.
- Suzanne (9/5): Exceptional! Scenic, very comfortable and super clean! - The location was great! Very scenic and the room was extremely well set up, cosy, comfortable, quiet and exceptionally clean! Our dogs were made welcome and Bailey the resident dog made our fussy pooches very welcome and he was patient with them! Kem amd Ross were great hosts. We did not have Brekky here so can’t comment! Nothing everything was great!

- Pieter (10/5): Hoge kwaliteit van accommodatie goede service, aardige mensen! - De stijl van inrichting!

- David (10/5): Great for a stopover. - Nice place to stay for a couple of days on the way through Dubbo. We could only stay 1 night, but would have enjoyed staying a little longer. Nice bed and linen. Fireplace if it gets cold and friendly owners. There was a little bit of noise from the road early in the afternoon and evening, but overall not too bad. It wouldn't put me off staying longer.

- Josephine (10/5): Felt safe and well looked after - A gorgeous location with a very peaceful nature filled landscape
- Jan (6/5): - The position is lovely. Quiet and lovely spot. The TV was closeted and small and difficult to see and hear from the bed which was the only spot you could watch it from. I wanted to park my car in a shaded spot but that only became available on the second day of my stay. I prefer to stay in accomodation that is not so close to the property owners. Bailey the dog was a delight and the property owners friendly.
