Waterlilly tree house felt like being in the lake- beautiful, service was excellent and friendly No full breakfast on Monday as we had paid for. The unit was a little dirty- cob webs and dead flies. All the candles, which would have been very romantic only lasted 5 minutes as very low and died out. Need new ones and old replaced.

- sammy (9/5): Slice of heaven on the Sunshine Coast - The owner greeted us to show us our accommodation and gives us a rundown on how everything works, this was refreshing. The property is beautiful and the food was lovely. The whole vibe of this beautiful place is something you have to experience, even the children didn’t want to leave.

- Jiney (10/5): Magiifcent - This was a magnificent venue - food was exceptional - view was unsurpassed - quiet - climate beautiful in this hot Queensland summer - walks you could go anywhere in the rain forest - George and Alby very gracious hosts, couldn't do enough - need to check out the wood carvings and find the dragon amonst the debris of the rain forest - what else can I say. Wine fridge could have been colder but then I probably could have changed the settings.

How comfortable, clean and well maintained it was. Everything in it is top quality down to the engraved glass wear, carvings and amazing comfortable furniture. - Fiona (10/5): A hidden gem - Secrets on the Lake isn't just a destination - it's a dream you'll want to revisit time and again. Five stars aren't enough; this is pure magic. The handcarvings throughout add a personal touch telling a story of the forests mystical creatures. The tree houses are simply stunning and homely, each with their own character and charm.
- Katrina (10/5): The perfect location to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. - We loved the entire place, we could not fault anything. Perhaps a bigger fridge if we had to pick anything.
- Sandra (1/5): WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. EVER. - The Property looked amazing, relaxing and tranquil on the pictures. That's where it ended. The cabin assigned to us was not even on the property, but hundreds of metres from the main area and reception. It was run down and not well maintained internally. The residual smoke smell from having the property unaired was so pungent it required one of the young guests with us to be medicated. LARGE spiders and thick spiderwebs throughout. The lake was nowhere nearby for us to sit and enjoy as promised. While breakfast was included, we would have had to get in the car and go to reception to get it if we wanted it. The external spa bath was cracked and no bubbles provided - again we were required to get in the car to get said bubbles if we wanted them. Check in was drawn out - we were ignored - not even acknowledged - for a good 15 minutes before being attended to whilst staff chatted amongst themselves. Staff were rude and subsequent correspondence with them has resulted in personal attacks and accusations of lying and exaggeration. In the end we didn't even stay one of the two nights booked. We were uncomfortable - 4 females - staying in such a secluded cabin, no phone service, full of spiders and a young adult unwell from the smell/air in the cabin.

Cockroach in the cabins (my friends had the same experience in another cabin and they were even more disappointed). We wont be returning.

Walking through the gardens, overlooking the lake and sitting on the swing was so relaxing. The owners and staff were friendly, approachable and attentive. All meals were delicious and presented beautifully. There was nothing. Every aspect was carefully taken care of.

The hot tub was incredible as was the gorgeous outdoor swing on the balcony 🥰 It could do with a few upgrades here and there, the outdoor bbq is far too small, olive oil to cook our bbq hamper would have been nice, our hand wash was empty (had to fill with dish detergent to wash our hands), limited plates, the kettle needs a good descale.

- Len (10/5): Secrets is a beautiful, relaxing get-a-way. - Our stay was magical. Our unit was Possum which overlooked the lake & the garden. The views were magnificant.The facilities in our unit were of the highest standard. The staff at Secrets were friendly & very helpful. Parking was not a problem. Nothing - our stay was excellent.
- Connarr (10/5): Fantastic stay. - The scenic views, cosy Tree house, endless firewood to stay warm by the fire place, free breakfast! Clean facilities and exceptional staff. The BBQ pack was fantastic aside from the meats still being partially frozen upon delivery at 6pm, which meant we couldn't really cook it and eat it until closer to 8 - 8 30pm when it was properly defrosted.

We appreciated the little details like the cookies in the room and staff starting our fire for us so the room was warm when we returned from dinner. Everything was so lovely. If we had to fault something, it would be that breakfast didn't start until 8am we are early rises 😆

- Wendy (10/5): It was a wonderful restorative experience in an amazing rainforest setting - The meals were fantastic and excellent value. We never walked away hungry! The staff could not be more helpful, and George, well a lovely and good humoured host that made the stay fantastic. The pillows were clean and plump. The beds were amazing. The first time I have not come home from a holiday desperate to get back in my own bed! There was an abundance of blankets and towels. The accommodation was very well appointed, and the firewood was endless. This is a wonderful place to take a restorative break or just for a peaceful getaway close to everything. The gardens and walkways are filled with enchanting nooks, swings and chairs and work and attention to detail within were amazing. Quite something to explore and experience. Thank you to you all for making our stay fantastic. We were in the Whistlestop railway cabin. The only downside for me was manoeuvring in and out of the tiny shower and toilet, but in saying that it is exactly what you would find in this type of accommodation.

- andrew (10/5): Perfect relaxing weekend - We loved everything about Secrets. All the small touches and thoughtfulness. The amazing view of the lake. Tha tree house was perfect. The bed was only a double. It didn't spoil our experience at all, but we have a king at home !. So it felt a bit small.

- Aurelie (10/5): The Perfect Holiday in Paradise, don't miss this place!!! - This is a unique place full of history, it was very private and the craftmanship is amazing. The staff is very friendly and you can feel their are enjoying working there. George and Aldy take pleasure and pride in meeting the guests and showing them around. The gardens, lake and creeks were beautiful and it's a great location (near Montville & Maleny). Perfect place for a relaxing holiday, and plenty to do for the kids (private jacuzzi, creeks, walks, canoeing, etc...).

- Janelle G (10/5): A delightful experience good for the soul - We stayed in the Whistle Stop cottage. This is a refurbished old train station house. It was delightful! The hosts provided little extras such as bedside chocolates. The whole area of Secrets is delightful, especially the wood carvings
