Everything else was very comfortable - thank you The only troublesome issue given the beautiful windows and vistas was that a number of the cords on the blinds were broken. Some pullstrings worked and some didn't. Given the windows are such a lovely feature I woudl recommend having these fixed

• Gumnior (8/5): I enjoyed my stay at Shells and would use this rental again. - It’s a lovely, clean, and light-filled apartment with everything I needed, including free parking. The location was exceptional—I absolutely loved it. Situated right on the main street of Sorrento, it places you in the heart of everything. I was in town for the writers festival and could easily walk everywhere, without needing to use my car at all. It was very convenient. The walls of the apartment are quite thin, and noise from neighbouring rooms is easily heard. When I took a blanket from the wardrobe to place on the bed, I found it was riddled with moth holes and fraying at the edges, which was a bit off-putting. Unlike many rentals, there was no body wash provided in the shower at Shells, so I had to purchase my own. I also requested an invoice for my stay on several occasions, but I am still waiting to receive it.

Highly recommended. - Location / Space / On site parking Access to the bath and taps was challenging (high step and reaching out to open and close taps were difficult). The dishwasher did not work - cleaning staff tried to help.

• Jason (1/5): I would not stay here again - Close and central We arrived at the apartment to find it had not been cleaned since the previous guests checked out. We were then instructed to inspect two alternative rooms, both of which were also in an unacceptable condition. The property manager later advised that they believed our arrival was scheduled for the following day. However, all prior communication clearly confirmed our check-in for the correct date. As a result this error and the lack of basic cleanliness across multiple rooms, our check-in experience fell well below an acceptable standard. The general condition of the building was poor. The outdoor table on the balcony was covered in dust and cobwebs, further indicating a lack of cleaning and maintenance.

• Narelle (7/5): Terrific weekend away and will be back next year!! - Apartment was lovely with 3 bedrooms and comfortable beds, kitchen, and 2 bathrooms. Location was excellent for weekend away. There are a few small updates required: the windows and fly screen in centre room are broken and don’t close, first toilet seat needs replacing and only the full flush button worked. All of the milk in the fridge was expired.

• Jennifer (10/5): Shells is in the heart of Sorrento - convenient, clean and accessible - The location was perfect in the heart of the main street of Sorrento amongst the shops and close to everything. Secure undercover parking. Clean and large bedrooms and bathrooms with a bright lounge kitchen area. it was all good.

• Al (7/5): Overall a good value for money stay. - Great location in the center of town. Property was clean. TV was too old to connect to Netflix etc. The two single beds that were pushed together to make the King size didn’t match very well.

• Andels8889 (7/5): Great value for money. Location is incredible! - Can not beat the location. Right in the heart of Sorrento strip. Towels were clean and fluffy. Overall value for money was good! Fridge was a little dirty (not wiped down) and beds are a little hard and probably due for an upgrade. Hence, comfort level wasn't great.
• John (8/5): Really clean and comfortable Apartment, just needs better attention to detail. - Great Location, nice big Apartment, well laid out and very practical for family. Inside the Apartment there were 3 problems, none were major, just some attention needed. 1. All the blinds except 2 were not working properly. They need to be serviced / repaired. 2. No manuals for the appliances. Had quite a time working out how to operate the oven. 3, Two remotes needed new batteries. Outside, the small gardens in front of each Apartment were full of weeds and desperate for water. As this is the main entrance it was a bit neglected , all for the sake of a couple of hours maintenance.

• William (7/5): Great location - Great location adequate comfort apartment needs a good clean and needs an update. Went to use the barbeque for unit 1 and looks like it has had no maintenance on it in years. Went to get rid of rubbish as directed and large green bin overflowing with rubbish, birds loved it and given the size of the property, the bin appeared not to have been emptied in a while. The online advertising of a one-bedroom apartment for $180.00 a night is well out of date. We paid $300+. Looks like money coming in, not much been spent on maintenance.

• Ariane (7/5): These apartments could be superb if some attention was placed on keeping them modern and serviced correctly. Fixing the - The location and the design of the apartment. Set right in the middle of Sorrento. Handy to all services. The apartments are becoming dated. The old corner spa being used as a shower base is lethal and should be replaced before someone breaks their neck trying to get in or out of it! The air conditioning in Apartments 1 and 2 need to be replaced. Apartment 3 had new a/c and it worked well. The front toilet in Apartment3 is leaking from the inlet water pipe. Every flush results in water on the floor. Dangerous. There is not one sharp knife in any of the apartments. The serrated steak knives are also blunt. Could not cut a piece of fruit. New knives required or existing ones sharpened. The wine glasses are very poor quality and should be replaced with larger more modern versions.

• Kellie (7/5): Great central location - Size of apartment was good with good size bedrooms. Location was great as central in town and walking distance to everything. Off street parking a bonus. There was no hairdryer in apartment. Manager didn't respond to our calls over the weekend. Central toilet was leaking water. There were a lot of carpet moths in the living area that need to be treated. No dishwashing liquid to wash dishes.

• Ashleigh (6/5): Nice for a short stay - We enjoyed our over night stay at Shells the location was great and the apartment was clean and tidy. but needed some maintenance. There was no remote for the split system in the lounge (winter weather you need heating), the toilets didn't flush well. There was 2 groups either side of us that were having gatherings and up until early in the morning which was unfortunate

Keys didn’t work so some time needed to work that out, two single beds pushed together as the “king bed” and something sticky was all over the carpet. Overdue for a steam clean. For an extra $200 we could have stayed at the Conti up the road with breakfast included. So a little in hindsight moment..
• Greg (10/5): Wonderful, spacious and comfortable, as new apartment in prime location - Apartment was like new, very spacious, spotlessly clean and the bedding was very comfortable. Location was superb being in the main shopping street of Sorrento and close to Sorrento car ferry to the Bellarine. Car parking at the rear was useful. I would happily stay in these apartments again when next in Sorrento. The apartment originally allocated had not been serviced ready for us so another already serviced apartment was provided after a short delay and some confusion.

• Georgie (6/5): Second time there and would still rebook . - Proximity No covers on extra pillows No spare blanket for bed. It was a cold night. Wrong room initially allocated which had not been cleaned. This was quickly fixed. Missing compendium
• Leanne (7/5): Great location, but a bit overpriced for what you get. - The location of the apartments on the main street is fabulous. We could park our car out the back in the undercover garage, and then just walk around the main area of shops and eateries. Perfect. The apartment is large and spacious. We were in apartment #1. I know it is hard to keep maintenance up to date when you have a seasonal rental, but the apartment was in need of a bit of tlc. Lots of scuff marks along walls, stains in the carpet, etc. It is great that the apartment has air con for during the day, but it really needs overhead fans or pedestal fans for overnight when you don't want the air con blowing right across you as you sleep. There are no windows that you can leave open to get a breeze through, and you certainly can't leave the doors open due to safety concerns. The shower setup was unexpected and not suited to anyone who is short, older, or has any mobility issues - you need to step up onto a step to get to the shower door, then step down a double step height into the shower recess. You then need to reverse that process to get out. Can be tricky and potentially dangerous for many people, especially when the area is wet. Just be aware of this if you book this apartment.

Why enquire about arrival time if no one available to meet you
• David (9/5): We loved our stay and would definitely come back, in the quieter months. - Perfect location. Kitchen had all items that we required. Adjacent lounge area was really nice and very comfortable. Our only criticism was the shower? The shower worked okay, no problem. The issue for us was that it's located in the spa bath and this required some delicate manoeuvring up some steps and then stepping down into the spa bath. We felt that from a safety perspective, this was quite dangerous, particularly if you had mobility issues. For us it meant being extra careful. We were in apartment # 5, so not sure if the other apartments had the same setup? Maybe make some enquiries when you make a reservation?

It needs a bit of lifts , looks run down. Also there is a coffee machine that you can’t purchase the capsules in the local supermarket which was annoying.
