Guest Reviews
- Amanda (10/5): Awesome! - An awesome place to stay with lovely owners and their gorgeous pets who met us on check-in and check-out. Highly recommend.
- David (10/5): - The cabins were all separate from the next ones. The rooms were spacious, great kitchen, big refrigerator and clean. The cabins were at the end of a short street so no through traffic. They were close to the main shopping area, not walkable. I would recommend this place and I would stay there again. The wifi was not the best but the owner is upgrading and he warned me.
- Sharon (8/5): - Cabin was clean comfortable and easy to use
- Jonathan (10/5): - Great little cabin
- Sam (8/5): - Great place and enjoyed my stay, comfortable bed, good value for money
- Brenton (10/5): - The unit was situated in a cull de sac, just off the main road and we found the unit to be very neat and tidy, it had everything we needed, central to the town and overall a very pleasant stay for us.
On arrival an envelope was placed on a chair with my name and the key inside it, there was also instructions for how to check out. A very smooth process, not complicated at all.
- Paul (10/5): Kingaroy Cabins - Fantastic place to stay.
- Hugh (10/5): Always will stay here. The best! - Gorgeous, comfortable, homely, private, relaxing, easy.
- Taylor (10/5): - It was really cute and cosy
- Rob (10/5): - Excellent stay
- Robert (8/5): - This property is a typical mining camp donga - albeit self contained. I was expecting an oven, however the fridge and heating element worked fine. When you have a shower, water leaks into the bath room and soaks the bath mat. That can be fixed. Everything else is serviceable.
My big issue is WIFI. Several months ago when I booked, reviews told me that wifi was an issue. Sitting in the BBQ area in the dead of night is not OK. Blaming the installer is not good karma. Other than that, IF these things I have mentioned are sorted, I would definitely recommend the room I stayed in as an ideal self-contained lodging for anyone who wishes to stay a night or several weeks.
- Sue (10/5): - It is very quiet for us
- Julie (10/5): - Great accomodation and facilities. Looking forward to visiting again.
- Paul (10/5): - Very simple and peaceful place to stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Average
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Cabins were Ok for a 1 night stay but I would have gone somewhere else if I had more nights booked. The shower was full of mould and the whole place wasn't overly clean. Additionally there was no TV remote provided.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice clean unit, the only negative was poor quality wifi.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Private and quiet
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Reception was friendly. The unit was spotless. Undercover parking left the car lovely and cool.
We wanted a clean bed and shower and that's exactly what we got.
The only thing I could complain about is the aircon filters needed a clean, it smelt. This time of year no real harm done, we could open all the windows and did not need the aircon.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Owners pleasant, cabin a bit tired. Rusty shower caddy, prefer not to have one than a rusty one. Cabin smelt musty. Linen clean but old.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Terrible bed, TV didn’t work and ironing board barely usable.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Needs a revamp. Couch in both cabins needs replacing , very uncomfortable to sit on, windows need a clean. Trimming trees around the park and some maintenance in gardens. In saying this, I understand the difficulties other the last year with Covid and perhaps this has impacted so for our purposes and length of time we stayed was adequate. Staff very friendly. Best of luck.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location and surrounds, friendly staff - well done.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - quiet and convenient access to town/shops lots of birdlife off main road so no traffic noise
- Tania (10/5): All good - No fuss, quiet, comfortable, everything was great. The ONLY thing I wish they had was a pet friendly option for my next trip.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It is a cabin style complex. No caravans camping etc and no permanent residents. The only down side is??? I'll get back to you on that.
- James (6/5): - Handy to town. Dishes were still covered in foodstuffs. Otherwise unit was clean and tidy.
- Tess (10/5): - Russell was great to deal with and the stay was great as well. The bed was sooo comfy and if actually had a good night sleep both nights. Lovely little place to stay and definitely recommend.
- Helen (10/5): - Clean and fresh, we enjoyed breakfast on the sunny deck.
- Johnoandnic (8/5): - Quiet, central to Kingaroy and easy to find off the highway.
- Heather (10/5): - Handy to town. Trouble free booking, easy check-in, lovely layout. Will stay here again.
- Paul (10/5): - Spacious cabin, with everything functioning well.
- Philip (8/5): Oliday - Nice cabin, clean and comfortable.
- peter (10/5): Comfort and clean rooms - Its my fourth stay here...
- Joanne (10/5): Great cabins - Great place, close town.
Comfortable room
- Peter (10/5): Very pleasant - Wonderful cabins, great that there was a carport. Enjoyed the stay, I’ll be sure to stay again.
- Rajiv (8/5): Happy place - The layout of the place is fantastic and adds a bit of freedom within small place.
It is a secure place and close to everything and has all basic facilities available like cooking, laundry, aircon etc
Wifi is the only thing not up to speed but the owners appear to be working on it
- Raymond (10/5): - quick , simple , clean ,
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very friendly staff, clean, neat, and quite cabins.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great to be able to cook if you wanted. Nice size fridge.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was quiet, clean and tidy, Manager was excellent.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Management was helpful. Easy walking distance to everything. Quiet.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Pepper Tree Cabins is very conveniently located at the entrance of Kingaroy. So easy to find. The owners have put a lot of thought and effort into a secure and well run business. I particularly liked the fact that they planted native plants in front of all the cabins that attracted the birds and the butterflies. The cabins were practical and comfortable and excellent value for money. I would warmly recommend a stay there to explore South Burnett and Kingaroy in particular.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place nice and central and great staff, very friendly
- Andre (8/5): - Nicely placed cabins within the greenery. Quietly situated. Value for money. Very friendly and helpful owners/staff.
- eeamgee (10/5): - Excellent accommodation close to town, Clean and comfortable with laundry and BBQ facility. Suited my needs for my stay while visiting a family member that was ill. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
- robyn (6/5): - Nice and quiet area. Furniture could be updated, springs poking up on the lounge and double bed, while comfortable enough, each time my partner moved I woke up making a not so happy me the next day. Glad it was just a night stay. Value for money but having said that, spending a few more dollars would probably be worth it for me( we were staying there with a few friends and it was for the baconfest so accommodations was in high demand)
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Had a lovely safe, quiet night in cabin.
- Dan (8/5): Kingaroy cabin - Very good for the price. With reverse cycle air conditioning and extra blankets to fend off the cold night.
- Lorna (8/5): Very clean and friendly and comfortable. - We would definitely recommend the Pepper Tree Cabins to anybody. Most enjoyable and would go back there again.
- Rebecca (10/5): - Great Accommodation and Russell goes above and beyond to work in with your requirements. Our cabin was well fitted out, with a portable cook top with saucepans and frypans, large fridge and microwave. BBQ and laundry facilities were also on site. It is a gated property so very secure. We stayed 5 nights and had a lovely time. I would recommend staying there.
- HappyTraveller (10/5): Quiet spot. Obliging manager. Comfortable and clea - Only stayed one night. Very happy with the cabin.
- Lisa (10/5): Living with the Nature - Love how this property is nestled in with trees and the rainbow lorikeets fly in for a visit. Cabins are great, clean and comfortable
- Norma (10/5): Looking for property to buy. - We were there only for a few days ,but it was beautiful. The place is very peaceful, green and also friendly. I would have like to stay at least for a month . May be another time. In all it was a short but nice experience and I recommend it to everyone.
- Vivienne (10/5): Excellent. - Excellent conditions. Everything you could want in the kitchen area but a power point and small bedside table would have been a bonus.
- Brett (8/5): Quaint - Quaint room, nothing flash but defiantly did the job. Roomy but the furniture was well worn and a bit dated.
- Chris (8/5): Nice place - Comfy bed, nice gardens, clean and we'll equipped.................
- Lon (8/5): - Very quiet area. Well maintained. Good experience. Will stay again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Couldn’t sleep as pump went alright because of rain water tank, tank up against bedroom wall. Bathroom to small, aircon didn’t work, room locked up and smells.
Was glad to leave next morning.
- Paul (8/5): Just what we needed for a quick night away. - Great to get away. We were simply looking for a place to stay while out visiting friends. Quite nice.
- Julie (10/5): Nice individual self contained cabins - Clean and self contained, private, undercover parking, easy walk to excellent restaurant
- phil (10/5): Quiet - A nice place to stay clean and tidy and close to town.
- Steve & Diana (10/5): So clean & well kept. - Accommodation was very clean and everything was neat and tidy and well looked after, including the garden areas. The area is quiet and peaceful.
Owner was very polite and welcoming - gave local knowledge (we visited the local observatory and saw star clusters, the Southern Cross and Saturn (with its rings) - plus other planetary sights, never before seen by my wife and me.
We would highly recommend this as an ideal overnight or indeed a longer stay venue which is priced affordably.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A great choice - Lovely clean & quiet cabin. Absolutely everything was catered for including soap & shampoo & even an extra heater for the cold nights. Friendly hosts whose advice sent us to the fantastic restaurant right across the street. Could not have wished for a better place to stay in Kingaroy..
- Cecil (6/5): - No-one in reception on arrival, had to wait over 5 minutes before owner's son saw me and went to get owner, who arrived in dirty gardening clothes. No words of welcome, little eye contact, focused on computer screen. No info given about how to access wifi given, had to return later to be told it had been turned-off.
- sad traveller (4/5): An Okay Stay - It was only a short stay, fortunately. Bed wasn't very comfortable, DVD player didn't work. Very basic accomodation.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great cabin in excellent condition, very nice place to stay
- Stephen (10/5): Highly Reccomended! - Cabin was great, with all amenities that you need to cook etc. Bed was very comfy.
The only thing I could comment on negatively was the small two seater couch was a little too small and not too comfy to sit on whilst watching TV!
- Marian (10/5): Comfortable and Great Management Team - A very comfortable place to stay. We went to Kingaroy due to bereavement and after flying all night from WA were so grateful that the staff put us into our accommodation at 9am in the morning - so understanding and supportive so thank you very much for this level of understanding. Accommodation was clean, and well maintained. Cabins have all you need for a comfortable stay and was very appreciated.
- Deborah (8/5): Great spot for a quick break - very clean property, very comfy bed. We arrived late and were given very good instructions on how to get in. No complaints
- Verified traveler (10/5): Just right - Nice clean tidy comfortable lodgings, would definitely stay again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A nice room for a short stay - For the price paid for the room, it was a comfortable one night stay for the soccer tournament I was participating in. Pepper Tree Cabins is strategically located so it is close to everything so any supplies can be obtained quickly. Next year I would be happy to stay again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Stay - we were in need of doing laundry and there it was in the BBQ area out in the fresh air really lovely touch. would definitely stay again value for money.
- kelly (10/5): - Great cabin. Clean and tidy. Good location and secure complex
- Kevin (8/5): Nice cabins - Nice and central to town, wifi didn't work but all in all it is a nice place to stay
- Dawn (10/5): Superb Cabin - These cabins are beautifully presented in a quiet part of town. They feature a very comfortable couch & the bathroom can be entered from the seperate bathroom as well as from the kitchen. The bed was clean and cosy with a good doona and pillows.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice cabins - Very nice staff. Cabins could do with a upgrade, but nice enough. Enjoyed my stay & will return when in Kingaroy again.
Would recommend to Peppertree cabins to add more then one chair on the balcony.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Pleasant Place - Pleasant & Safe location. Friendly staff. Cabins are comfortable - full size fridge.
- Adam (10/5): Nothing fancy, but perfect for the average person - For the price, the place is fantastic. I've stayed in hotels in Brisbane for twice the price and they haven't been as nice as this. Just perfect for a couple. The free wifi could be patchy and slow at times, but when that's the worst thing you have to say about the experience then I'd say we did alright. The place is close to the shops and not too far from the local winery's. There's no restaurant but there are plenty of options nearby. I wouldn't hesitate twice to stay again.
