- Kenneth (10/5): 2 night stay in Stawell - Stayed 2 nights in Room 11 which is at rear of the property and well off the Highway which is subject to considerable truck traffic all night long - We have stayed here several times and stayed in a room at the front on one occasion - noise was very bad all night - stay at the rear and you’ll be fine - the room are spotless and have tastefully modernised- fitted with an efficient split system A/C and a large Flat Screen TV with numerous standard and cable s channels. Microwave in room and light Breakfast supplied in Brekkie Room - parking outside your room - very well run properly and will certainly stay here again. Bed and Shower both good - hosts very hospitable.

- Martin (10/5): - Had a wonderful stay in a double deluxe. Manager showed me the standard double which was very nice and the deluxe which had some nice touches. Reading lamps and power points and usb chargers on the bedsides. A larger more modern bathroom. I will bring the family next time I head this way to see the Grampians. Can hike in the morning and relax in the pool in the afternoon. Traffic noise was less because it was a quiet weekend, but have to expect some noise at a place called HiWay :)

- Kenneth (8/5): Overnight stay in Stawell - Motel is very comfortable and had stayed here before in a room towards the rear of the property - allocated Room 3 this time at the front and uncomfortably noisy with all night interstate trucks - this Motel id right on the Westetn Highway which is the main highway between Melbourne and Adelaide - apart from the noise all night the Room was excellent - get a room at the rear and you’ll have no problems

- Carol (10/5): A quick stop over. - Road triping to the Grampians we stop at Stawell for an overnight stay. I chose Hi way 8 because of reviews and was not disappointed. Room was clean and well maintained. Bathroom was very clean and updated. The only thing I can complain about was the bed was a little hard. But overall it was a pleasant stay

Motel is near major road so be prepared for noise and large trucks/semi trailers going by. Had little sleep even though we asked for a a quiet room!

We understood why the free breakfast was unavailable because of COVID-19, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the shower water was hot and good pressure. Soft drinks and beer on a hot day were available for reasonable prices from reception. My only discomfort was the sideways slope for parking which only applies to room 14.
