Guest Reviews
- Lisa (8/5): - Good value. Clean, comfortable cabin with split system. Little deck/ verandah with table and chairs. Kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed (cooking, utensils, crockery, cutlery, soap, shampoo, towels etc) Quiet area. Close (walking distance) to park and town. Kids used pool and shared bbq area next to pool was nice and clean, although we didn't use. Hassle-free, quick check-in and check-out.
- Ron (8/5): - We enjoyed the near proximity to the waterfront walking tracks
- Eva (10/5): - I stayed with partner and our three boys in a cabin with our dog. We had everything we needed in the little kitchen along with plenty of storage space for our belongings. The property is quiet and tidy with a great swimming pool in the shade. We could walk to the beach and to the main street. We will stay again. Big Bear donuts are fantastic!
- Wendy (8/5): - .......
- Richard (10/5): - Golden Terrace is full of character. The owners are friendly, and the facilities are clean.
- Briony (6/5): - The blankets were dirty, bed was uncomfortable, mold on windows, kettle was black, (so I used lemons to clean it before I used it.) overall it was a good little get away. You could sit out side and listen to the ocean was nice.
- Chris (4/5): - We booked on line because it states pet friendly.
After driving 4 hours to get there we get told they dont take Cats due to people having allergies.
Well it doesnt state that on the website or on their website.
And what about people who are allergic to dogs?
Its ok to house them?
The cutlery was dirty
Broken or chipped glasses
1 ply Toilet paper really??? Too cheap to buy decent quality??
Website pictures make cabins look large, but its the size of a garden shed, so small and cramped.
Big people wont enjoy shower as u can move in it.
TV ridiculously small
Bed super uncomfortable and small so much so my feet where out the end of the bed.
Heard from a local they dont accept pets in most pet friendly places between December and january.
So advise all to call prior to booking other wise u end up stuck with pets or another nice bill from a pet hotel animal care place.
Overall i would say run
There is better out there.
Im a Front Office Manager of a Melbourne CBD Hotel currently so know what to expect but that was not it.
- George (4/5): - close to shops and lake
- Casey (10/5): - amazing
- Vince (4/5): - Size of the cabin was ok
Bedding was very uncomfortable they need to upgrade mattresses
Also sofa was very uncomfortable. Did not look forward to spending time in the cabin and going to bed.
Overall they just need to upgrade to new furniture and then everything would of been fine
- Vera (8/5): Returning gests - We stayd in this caravan park 3th year in a row. We will be back next year
- Katerina (10/5): - The owners were fantastic! The cabin was clean and so we’re the amenities. Great location with walking tracks near by and a short walk into town.
- David (10/5): - Quiet lovely cabin stay. Good size rooms and well maintained
- Michael (10/5): - Nice quite spot to enjoy a laid back and relaxing weekend with family.
- Michael (8/5): - Dated but clean
- Michelle (10/5): - Lovely little park. Cabin & facilities very clean & well maintained. Perfect base to explore Lakes Entrance.
- Jovan (10/5): Great place to stay - Everything was great-clean cabin, cooking appliances, wonderful pool and pleasant and helpful host. Planning to go back next year.
- Carlos vaz de (10/5): - Nice place to stay and relax i will go back at any time.
- Yuky (10/5): - Due to Covid, some properties are vacant. We are happy with the value of the booking. Stayed at unit 1, one double bed and a bunk bed can sleep 3. The middle bunk bed is difficult to get in but luckily we have only two kids. Place is clean, small but include everything we need. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool. Laundry is easy to use. Public toilets and showers are clean. Very good location, 2 minutes to the main beach and shops. Will come back again.
- Don (10/5): - Suited our needs for a short stay.
- April Ann (10/5): - the location is great, near the esplanade where u can walk and relax, flexible check-in time, the price is affordable, cleanliness is 👍, laundry is available and cheaper than the laundry shops, my kid enjoyed the pool..probably suggest upgrade on electric stove but still overall, our stay is fantastic & excellent with the help of accommodating staffs.
- Daniel (8/5): - Great stay. Fantastic location within short walk of shops and beach. Brilliant that it's dog friendly.
- Melanie (8/5): Great location, compact unit - Great location, very central. Comfortable and quiet cabin. But very small. I would not have called it a 2 bedroom cabin since the double was in the main room and the bunk beds were in corridor leading to toilets. It would have been very cramped if our 14 year old had come. Overall good stay and reasonable price.
- Vera (10/5): - We have positive experience with host. Caravan park was walking distance to center. We will be back for sure
- Melanie (10/5): - small but fantastic.Clean safe and family friendly.
We love it here. :)
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff at the park were very nice, easy to deal with and always available. Facilities were extremely clean and the cabin we stayed in was perfect. I had an issue with my car and a wall onsite and the staff were extremely helpful and made me feel less embarrassed about the incident which I genuinely appreciated!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The caravan park was well maintained eg the pool, bbq area, the ground however the budget cabin was very dated and not maintained eg leaking tap, noisy fridge, the cabin was on a slope, the pots and pans were in poor condition and not useable. I had to go to the shops and buy my own to cook with. The rate paid for the cabin was excessive considering all of the above. The staff were friendly. Would book again but different cabin.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We had a lovely stay at the Golden Terrace holiday park we booked the day Covid-19 overnight stays ban was lifted. We stayed from the 1st of June to the 6th our cabin was well set up with everything you needed in a kitchen for cooking which we had to use a lot as many food places were not open. (hopefully they will be soon) Our bed was very comfortable and the cabin was nice and warm, it was nice to find a dog friendly place.Just across the road from the caravan park was a lovely place to walk our dog around the lake. On our walks we saw lots of wildlife swimming on the lake about 10 black swans and 20 pelicans, one morning we even saw a dolphin. There is no better way to spend a cool winter day than to walk around the beach. We are hoping to come back to Lakes again soon and we will book into Golden Terrace holiday park again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location, quiet and relaxing. Friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Ellie was the friendliest manager, helpful and just easy to liaise with.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good a essential base to get to every where in lakes Entrance with not much traveling. Clean cabins and quite at time I stayed it was of peak season not busy so very comfortable
- sue (10/5): Relaxing break - Our stay here was very relaxing and comfortable. The staff and owners were very pleasant and welcoming. We will take our dog next time we visit here as it is extremely pet friendly. Couldn't have asked for better service.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property was clean, tidy but the cabins need the update.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Basic standard cabin a bit outdated could do with a update. But overall it had everything we needed for a 5 day stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Too small , specily bathroom area was not comfortable and not suitable for 5 people
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff super helpful and friendly. Convenient location.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was fine. It was cheap and clean, which is what I was looking for.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I had some problems with my neighbor which was a permanent resident in the park about the noise, which he was drunk and TV loudly
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful hosts. Neat and clean property. Fabulous bbq area.
- Jamie (8/5): Clean and friendly - “Rustic” beach flat, but it had good size bedrooms and was clean. Great staff and pool. Close to town and attractions.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice quiet stay. Staff friendly, great location for walks.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Beds were not what was requested. Requested seperate beds for two small children and got bunk beds
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent location, great pool. Pet friendly! Close to beach, lake and shops
- Sarah (8/5): - Very neat and tidy little park that is close to everything.
- Elzna (10/5): - Had wonderful people and excellent service. We felt like old friends visiting. Loved every moment of our stay! Thank you!
- Mark (10/5): Winter Holiday - Fantastic, nice clean room, fit our family of 6 nicely. Nice and close to everything too.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Central area and very reasonable price plus friendly host
- Verified traveler (8/5): - the cabin is in need of some maintenance, bathroom fan not working, cabinetry swelling at edges. Bed comfortable.
- Narelle (10/5): Close to All Beaches - Very comfortable, clean and close to all beaches and clubs. The cabins are a great size and in very good condition. Will stay here again of coming back through this way.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I won't go back to this place, some one's dog always barking, can not relaxing.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Prefect place on the main strip - We have a lovely time at lakes. GT had everything we needed and more. Disappointed we could bring our dog though.
- jacqueline (8/5): Nice and close to the beach. Nice stroll to shops - We went and stayed in one of their cabins with our 2 Staffies and although the cabin was old it was clean and a good base for us. It was nice and quiet, close to the beach and no ce stroll into shops. Would recommend to anyone wanting to take their pets.
- greg (10/5): Nice hotel close to beach - Absolutely perfect , friendly staff including the doggy Sooty! Great for kids
Nice pool, thanks will come again .
- Medhat (10/5): Nice hotel and very friendly staff - Nice hotel near to everything (shops - boats to buy fish - restaurent - beach )
the hotel staff are very friendly
at the room we found every thing we need
- kerrie (8/5): Quiet relaxing holiday park - Small and peaceful. Donna was a knowledgeable friendly host. Pool is AWESOME! Camp kitchen is brilliant, everything you need supplied.
- Alison (10/5): - Lovely clean cabin. Exceptionally friendly service. Pool is clean and was not busy. Loved our stay.
- Nadia (8/5): No hassles - Great little place. Clean and tidy. Had everything we needed.
No complaints.
- Nat (10/5): Great location close to shops - Great stay. Deluxe villa was in immaculate condition. Was very pleased. Great amenities with toilets, laundry, camp kitchen and pool. Suited our needs mostly however no playground with 4 kids (ages 4-8). Wasn’t really necessary though with so much to do around town. Friendly manager, quiet park.
- Ross (8/5): Great for an overnight stop. - We (family of four) stayed in one of the small cabins for an overnight stop. If I was going to stay longer, I'd get one of the newer, larger cabins. But the small one we had, had everything we needed.
Not to far to walk into the main part of town, along the Esplanade.
- James (10/5): Basic but very good if onsite van is an option - Very friendly and hospitable staff.
Clean, comfy and great value.
If you are after 5 star hotel/resort, this is not for you but if you are after an excellent onsite cabin or have a family to cater for it is excellent.
- Marilou (8/5): - We loved staying in the cabin very convenient and it's close to the shops.
- wendy (10/5): Great spot. - Our stay was great. The cabin was comfortable but was a little dusty and a little out dated.
- Sally (10/5): A wonderful place to stay right on the Esplanade. - Amazing hospitality, terrific cabin that was scrupulously clean and wonderful local knowledge. We will definitely stay there again!
- Rod (8/5): Perfect position to Lakes Entrance facilities - Excellent place as they were only one of a few that would take our dog. Perfect place to all attractions to beach, lake, shops and resturants all within walking distance.
- beth (8/5): Cute place close to the beach - Was a little small with 3 teenagers, but comfortable, warm and more than we needed for the night. The staff were very kind and helpful and had even turned the heater on to warm the room before we arrived. My youngest loved the triple bunk bed.
- Adrian (8/5): Vakue - Great value for money. Clean and comfortable.
Would stay again.
- Toh (8/5): - Overall ok
- Verified traveler (6/5): Cheap but a bit run down - Stayed for part of a family for three nights
After driving for 6 hrs greeted with questions as to why we turned up with trailers, if so important should be in the information when booking. Was sorted fine in the end
There was everything required but water was very unpredictable when showering going from hot to cold and losing pressure
The accomodation was a short walk to the centre of town, good if travelling on a budget
- Catherine (8/5): Perfect little getaway - Booking this last minute during school holidays, we weren't expecting much, however for what we needed, it was perfect. The size of the cabin was great and the owners accommodated for our needs of parking with a trailer. Apart from the noise from the other guest / owners on occasion, it was just about perfect. Thanks again.
- Badluck (2/5): No room availability - We booked a room at the motel on Expedia.com.au during the school holidays but when we arrived at the motel there wasn't a room available so we had to go someplace else.
- Andreas (8/5): Just as expected - Across the road from beach. Could walk into main shopping strip and to supermarket. Minigolf and trampoline business (Lake Entrance Minigolf) out the back and around the corner to the right. Walking distrance to footbridge to surf beach area. Actual place was small, but the pictures were clear about that so it wasn't a surprise. When asking about minigolf they gave us some vouchers for the place around the corner.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cabin quite close to the beach and center of town - Stayed in a cabin, while run down and will be sad once they replace the carpets that no pets will be allowed.
- John (10/5): Great value in good location. - Tow-bedroom cabin was modern, clean and very roomy.
- Thomas (10/5): Clean and convenient pet friendly cabins. - Comfortable pet friendly cabins. The bed was very comfortable. Cabins are older but very clean and quite serviceable. Great value place to stay, would definitely return if down that way.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Small park great for us - Good pool and outdoor area. Old park but in very good condition.
- Sema (10/5): Relaxing and comfortable family getaway - Loved our experience at Golden Terrace. Stayed in the Deluxe Villa Unit which was more than reasonably priced and it was very clean, comfortable and accessible to all the things we needed. Would stay there again if the hosts would have us!
- Charlie (8/5): great stay - Enjoyed our long weekend stay in a cabin. Very clean and staff extremely hospitable. 10 min stroll into town great location. Would definitely stay again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Golden terrace holiday park - To small for a family and a the cabin was a little run down
- Anthony (10/5): Great value room, modern and spotless - This was a great value room compared with the sorts of prices you'll pay at nearby big chain caravan parks. If you don't need a jumping pillow, games room, etc, this is a fabulous option. The property is long and narrow, so most of it is well away from the main road.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Had a very good time close to the river so the boys were able to fish while the girls used the swimmg pool the staff was very happy and helpful . Yes we would stay at the golden terrace holiday park again
- Jonno (10/5): Good Value, really good communal facilities - Stayed just the one night, wanted something cheap.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel that was close to town - A great place to stay with a famil of 5. Nice and quite as well as being a short walk to town
- shanpoo (8/5): Nice place, close to beach - Staff is friendly , we have a good trip! We have a good trip! We have a good trip!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Very old holiday park close to beach - Whilst location, staff and cleanliness of the room were all good, the unit we stayed in was very old and in not great condition. For the price it was disappointing.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Cheap, friendly, great location. Hot water in the shower was the only fault. Went from scalding to freezing and back again during showers. Not ideal when showering a toddler. All else was great, thanks.
- Bruce (10/5): Relaxing stay - Quiet clean tidy customer-friendly inexpensive accommodation
Michael is a nice bloke and keen to be helpful
- Jack (8/5): Budget Stay - On arrival the manager was expecting me and very friendly.
I liked the ease of enterance and exit with nicely maintained lawns and facilities although getting older. The Unit itself was clean and tidy and for the price was value for money. The LCD TV had the benefit of being able to record / play from our flash drive.
Thanks for the warm welcome. Will come again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great spot to stop along the way - Nice and easy. Had a smoke detector playing up and was fixed immediately. Great basic accommodation for a stopover to Merimbula.
- Kate (10/5): Ideal location & wonderful experience - My family was delighted with our experience at the Golden Terrace. The cabin set up was perfect for a temporary home away from home. I am a fussy about being sleeping and staying in a clean environment and I had no concerns with the cabin we stayed in. The faclities etc were spot on. Friendly and welcoming staff. I could not be more pleased with our stay. We will definitely be returning.
- Gab (8/5): - A good basic cabin all the facilities you could need. Wouldn't recommend for more than 3 people in a cabin as it would be very tight for space. BBQ area well equipped. Over though great value for money.
- Bluegem. (8/5): Nice and value for money. - The stay for one night was nice and comfortable. There was issue with hot water and that was a shame. All good otherwise and definable value for money with the facility provided. Thanks
- Judy & Ray (8/5): Nice and peaceful Close to beach - We had our grandchildren so decided to cook a couple of meals
Oven not working so had to put the pies in M/wave Soggy pies Stove top just working but not hot enough to make pancakes
We had come by train so we had to walk into town at 7:30 in the rain to get some dinner
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice cabin close to beach - Great walking/bike track along the beach, next door to mini golf. Small caravan park but great service.
- mandy (8/5): Handy location - Clean & tidy, well equipped, close to everything pleasant staff
- Alicia (10/5): Close to the beach, staff are amazing! - Lovely staff, they make the stay welcome and feeling like you want to come back!
- john (8/5): - Very comfortable and clean, checked in late and alternate arrangements were made for us.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Convenient, neat, clean little caravan park. It has wonderful facilities for campers. Lovely staff, too.
- Mrs Wiggitty (10/5): Clean and Cheap - small cabin with toilet. exactly what I wanted. very clean. quiet rainy night. thanks.
- D (6/5): - Ensuite cabin was old and many things need renovation. But price was not so bad so we choosed it for one night stand in Lakes Entrance. Nice kitchinette - microwave, kettle, electric stove with oven, plates, cups, pots and cuttlery.
- MAHADEVAIAH (2/5): very basic not suitable for family - booked for two nights but checked out after staying first night
very smelly,very basic facilities,no wifi..never go again
