• Wayne (6/5): From Raro To Whangarei - Location, good shower, comfortable bed Broken basin, broken towel rail, un vacuumed beside bed, dirty walls and curtains, only one pillow per person.

• claire (7/5): Pleasant staff, room was equipped sufficiently and at an excellent price point - Great location, short walk to albanay stadium, mega centre and various eaterys. A little bit tired and basic, the low price reflected this however and the room was comfortable enough
• Korine (6/5): Affordable accommodation in a good location, however, you pay peanuts you get monkeys. - The bed (although it was two single beds pushed together) was extremely firm and comfortable. We received new towels daily. Check in and out was easy and accessible. Quiet area close to bus stops and grocery stores. An affordable accommodation option in a good location with lots nearby. Useable cooking facilities. Mostly polite staff. We only had two pillows in the room. When we asked for more they declined due to a "laundry delay" meaning they didnt have fresh pillows. We did not receive pillows during our 3 night stay. Housekeeping daily only includes emptying of bins and refreshed towels. On site laundry was small and had a malodor, unusable. Free internet was shocking, we had to use our personal network. TV was small and low quality, only free channels available to use. No option for housekeeping to be denied. No clear check out process e.g. time. We were told by housekeeping to bring rubbish out at 10am due to the smell? Very rude interaction with housekeeping - she asked how many beds we used implying they would not be cleaning the single cot in between stays. Also asked about how many towels we used? Room facilities listed were not present e.g. safety deposit box and dryer were not present in the room. No dishwashing liquid! Had to purchase our own toilet paper as we were given 3 small single ply rolls for a 3 night stay.

• Zara (7/5): - Staff have always been friendly and welcoming. I am a genius level member and on my booking it said early check in and late check out however I rang up for an early check in and the lady that answered advised no it is a standard thing on all bookings and it did not apply to me.

• Dylan (4/5): - Spacious, good parking, a job to cook food on The host in the office kept me talking then tried to slide the eftpos machine under me with a different price, the real.price not the booking.com price, I saw it and he said sorry and he changed it. Then the hinge on the cupboard door came off, it looks like it pops out of its hole quite often, I went to tell him but he was out, after I had left he phoned saying he had to charge me an extra $55 for the broken hinge, I said it broke through normal use, and the hinge is ok, just needs gluing back into it's recess, he complained and howled and said he's only charging me $55, that's not even a call out charge, I said ok but I'll be putting a review up about this, he howled and complained a little more, then hung up, to my knowledge he has not charged me yet, I think this is a ploy he does to customers to get more money per room, specially if it's the lower price from booking.com
• Peter (9/5): Convenient, clean, comfortable but a tired appearance due to lack of minor maintenance. - Very convenient to northern motorway and Albany mall. My wife has mobility issues and dementia so this room was ideal….spacious wet room style shower room and toilet with grab rails. Copious hot water.No steps or stairs to navigate. No confusing doors for her to navigate. Comfortable bed. Lots of power points meaning charging devices was easy. As well as usual tea and coffee also sachets of hot chocolate mix provided. Two dining chairs ( so many hotels and motels have only one chair in a room for two people). Surprisingly quiet at night despite its location. Free wifi. Lots of minor maintenance needed. ….mainly cosmetic. In the bathroom there was a waste bin but no bin for sanitary products….my wife uses incontinence underwear which has to be disposed of after use but using the waste bin was not ideal. No rack for suitcase….not essential as we used the third bed on which to put suitcases but a rack would have been nice.

• Summa (10/5): - I travel from Tauranga to Auckland for block classes at Massey university. The location is amazing! 5 minute walk to campus and to a wide variety of shops! Staff are very friendly and check in and out is a breeze. Another big plus is the free onsite parking. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Very handy to local mall and transport options. (In hindsight don't know why I waited 10 minutes for a bus, when the station hub was 15 minutes walk away! lol). Not a great sleep - bed very firm, and room very warm overnight, not helped by being upstairs and only aircon seemed to be an overhead fan which I couldn't get to operate. Wi-fi seemed to cut out a few times and need re-connection.

• Evalyn (9/5): Perfect location - Great location, walking distance to Wesfield shopping centre. Great friendly staff. Blind missing in the bathroom. The cover forthis was taped on the outside of the window rather than the inside. However was rectified almost immediately once we spoke to reception.
• Elissa (1/5): Dishonest, difficult and never have I seen linen so filthy-blood stains and bugs, black grease on linen. - The sheets were not clean, blood stains, body fluids, black grease on sheets and pillows, bugs in the bed and dirt over the top of the bed. Paid for in booking.com however the owner made us pay again stated only way to gain entry if we gave him our credit card number even though we had receipt it was paid for in booking.com . He self helped to the Mastercard several times after telling him not to as he then stated he only wanted the card for security reasons deposit but took several payments out. Good thing was he reimbursed those transactions but not until we had to see him face to face to try resolve this issue.
• Lesley (9/5): We had a great stay - Everything apart from the use of the laundry was excellent. I couldn't use the laundry room as it had clothing everywhere and some clothes had been left in the dryer all day. But I don't think there is anything you can do about that.

• Marcus (9/5): Outstanding value and excellent location with a large and comfortable room. - Location was excellent - easy to find, excellent motorway access, close to large mall and the QBE stadium and many excellent restaurants. Value was extremely good. Room was very large with plenty of storage and first rate kitchen and bathroom. Excellent wifi. Plenty of parking. Staff were very friendly with great local knowledge and restaurant suggestions. Property was quite "tired". Reception not open and staffed 24 hours (although they could be contacted 24 hours).

Long overdue for a refurbishment. No aircon. Hadn’t been cleaned properly for a long time. Young staff in office more interested in looking at their social media than helping guests. Been a long time since this property was in any way ‘Executive’.

There's an extremely large number of different Asian restaurants/shops right nearby, and it's within walking distance of the Westfield.

• Mitchel (1/5): Extremely rundown and poorly maintained motel with dirty, broken, and outdated facilities. - Location was handy for this stay as we had meetings close by so it meant less travel across Auckland Motel is very outdated, drains broken in the bathroom, vanity falling to bits and water damaged / swollen. The toilet seat was possibly the most disgusting toilet seat I've ever used with stains and signs of serious wear and tear, not what you expect when staying somewhere. Showerhead was also corroded and rusting through. Glass bedside tables were really dirty, beds very uncomfortable and the ceiling fan basically offered no relief to the heat as it is old and slow. Facilities are just really run down and in desperate need of an upgrade.
