Lisa (10/5): Fantastic couple running a well placed lodge with a really great restaurant - Max and Anna who run this property were amazing - great garden space - the restaurant was really great - amazing evening menu - but most of all Max helped me get to town in the morning when my bike spat the dummy and needed some care from the local mechanic - they went above and beyond and I’m forever grateful Nothing - the lodge was well placed on the cycle trail with everything we needed

They will rob your credit card after you leave. Hotel is run by a couple and they have no other staff so get over burdened during busy period. Wife is very rude. We stayed just for the night but had worst experience every in any of our stays. - After we left they reception lady blamed us for not leaving the keys and charged our card despite me telling her 100 times that the keys were left in the room. Who knows they have the keys but still rob customers like this by charging for the penalty. - Hotel has breakfast facility but they didn't open their hotel or reception even at 8:30am. - Room heater was not working. I brought this up at the reception but they could do noting. Didn't provide electric blankets even on asking. - We lost our iphone on the property and people at reception were not at all cooperative. They were instead getting annoyed when we were searching for the phone all around. Lot of fellow guest very helpful and spent an hour with us looking for the phone but reception people... oh my god, terrible and rude.

The hair dryer wasn't working, towel has some Mark on it and no sink get water for my tea or drink they have water n the jar as well n the fridge for my tea lol they have so many tea bag different type only 2 coffee 😆 no microwave warm food up as well but hey is ok 😉 😀 they need plates small space for it

Served as a nice stopover slightly out of town and off the beaten road. The innkeeper had difficulty finding my booking but things worked out in the end.

Purdie (8/5): Excellent location for a quiet break, great meal, and ideal base for picking fresh stonefruit - Very friendly and relaxed owners, we were invited to go to our room and get ready for dinner without any fuss checking in. The rooms are nicely decorated, beds very comfortable with new bathrooms, with delightful home made lavender bodywash. The dinner was excellent, easily one of the best we have had in a couple of years. The garden setting is very nice and the charm of the original accommodation is not lost. We will definitely stay again. We would have stayed another night! But it was booked!
