• Rob (2/5): Overall not the relaxed pleasant stay we had hoped for. - Location was great We liked the sea view The unit was very old & tired, cracks in paint work. Power points in both bathrooms and laundry were not working. Mould in shower areas. Dishwasher not cleaning, so had to wash by hand. Paint scraps on fridge due to old age. Vent cover fell off in bathroom at 2am one morning. Aluminium doors and windows did not seal very well and wind whistled and rattled. Trade people noise with work that was being done.

• Jewel (4/5): . - The unit was renovated and modern The power went out within 10mins of being in the unit. Then an electrician was going to be a while to arrive. Estimated arrival was close to 6pm and it would be dark by then. When I spoke to the manager onsite he advised they were fully booked and we would need to fi d somewhere else to stay.
• Geoff (2/5): - Nothing. Me and my family did not end up staying at the Foreshore Appartments after being informed on arrival that construction works were being carried out on the building. Scaffolding was erected around our beach view unit, blocking our view. I was also advised that noisy works would commence from 8am every morning during our stay. After refusing the accomadaion under these circumstances, myself and my family were left scrambling to find alternative accommodation during a public holiday. No extra assistance was provided from Foreshore Apt regarding this. Refusal of an immediate refund from them and booking.com compounded the situation as we now required a substantial amount of extra money to pay for alternative accomadation. The whole experience left my family feeling sad and anxious for what was to be our first family holiday in over 3 years. As above.

• Jason (5/5): - The view Apartment needed a revamp very basic holes in outdoor chairs, lounges needed to be comfortable. Outdoor chairs had holes in them. Doors were rusty leading out to verandah making them hard to open and close.woken up in morning by Jack hammers next door.
• Mirjana (8/5): Good value, spacious apartments on the beach - Foreshore Apartments are an excellent budget choice for a perfect family holiday. The 6-storey 80s style complex is superbly located, literally with its own gate to the beach, a well-maintained pool and spa, and lovely wraparound garden. The two-bedroom apartment I stayed in was spacious with two bathrooms, two balconies (one with a magnificent "partial view" of the water), a well equipped kitchen and airconditioning in the lounge/dining room. Internally, it's not ultra modern but has ben updated and is very clean. It shows its age in minor ways (like worn out curtains in the master bedroom) but great value.There were a couple of minor disappointments in the way things were handled. Arrived to construction signs and scaffolding going up. I asked why I wasn't informed before I arrived, was told the decision to do building works was only made the day before (really?) and that I had been sent a message via Booking.com only that day! So no option to change my accommodation if it bothered me. And no apology. I hope the works include putting aircons in the bedrooms as they got quite hot with only ceiling fans. A couple of days later the evacuation alarm started blaring outside our front door before 5am, waking and terrifying us. Again the building manager did not apologise when i asked what had happened, just explained that the alarm was faulty. I accept that things sometimes just happen and I would stay here again especially after a building refresh.

• Jemma (1/5): Would not recommend, pictures on the ad do not correctly represent the current state of the property - The location of the apartment was stunning and what drew us to book this property. The parking was included and felt safe and secure. There is significant damage to the balcony of the property which made us feel extremely unsafe and uncomfortable leading us to call our stay short and move to different accommodation. Additionally we booked 'air-conditioned' - the ac is only in the lounge room and does not reach the bedrooms, an absolute must for QLD humid heat. We did not receive instructions for un-staffed hours to receive keys and had a whole ordeal to find contact, not what you want after an early morning flight and long day. The apartment was clean to the eye breezing through, but there is mould and damage to the outer doors. Bathroom has mould damage that has been painted over, clearly showing a need for further ventilation. There was doors in the kitchen broken, and not really any 'amenities' - not the end of the world but a complimentary cuppa is always nice.

Very limited privacy and you have to keep curtains closed.. and when you open the curtain it is the pool / smoking area and orange construction fence right outside. I think it should me given at a reduced rate. The shower was constantly dripping.. unbearable noise.

What i did not like was the oven..no numbers or words on the dials so did not know what temp we were cooking at. Also no oven tray to cook on. Also windows were very dirty..

• Paul (6/5): Location was great. - The view when we cleaned the windows. Bedroom door could not open, The Oven was filthy and we spent 2 hours cleaning before use. The fans did not work and we had to clean the windows which were hard to see the beach through. None of the security screens worked they were corroded. The manager was informed off all this on our departure.

The location was fantastic, right on the beach and close to excellent restaurants and cafes. Location was quiet, no traffic. Our unit was recently renovated, so it was very neat and tidy, spacious and clean. Comfortable bed and pillows. Good amenities. Had everything we needed for our stay. We loved it so much, we booked again for next year. Sliding fly screen doors on the balcony would be great for the evening, to prevent bugs coming in. Otherwise it was all perfect.

The apartment was spacious, with an exceptional view — waking up to the sunrise over the ocean was unforgettable. The full kitchen was well-equipped and great for cooking. A perfect stay. The apartment was quite dated and had a kitchen smell when we arrived, so it needed to be aired out.
• Amanda (8/5): Beautiful apartment and location but building works spoilt it. - The apartment had been newly refurbished and was finished to a very excellent standard. We stayed for 3 nights and we were not told prior to the stay that there were building works happening while we were there and on the Monday morning we were woken to pneumatic drilling so loud we could not speak to one another which meant we left early and spoilt the weekend having to leave abruptly.

• Mike (8/5): Great location on the Gold Coast. - This property is in a great location, close to the beach. The apartment was well kitted out and we loved having a view of the sea! The apartment was quiet at night even though it was close to central Gold Coast and the beds were super comfy. Dryer was old and loud when using it.

• Tatiana (7/5): Fantastic location, very relaxing. - The location is fabulous with beachfront views. Our apartment was newly renovated which was lovely and it was very quiet. I have stayed here numerous times and always loved it. Sadly this time, communication was sorely lacking. I tried numerous times in the lead up to arrival to make contact via the app and would not receive a response unless I followed up. I had booked a late check out which reception appeared not to be aware of. This was eventually granted however on check out day, I received a phone call just after 10am stating the cleaners were waiting to get in. I called straight back, to no answer, leaving a very extensive voicemail explaining the situation to which I heard nothing back. We then had a cleaner walk into our apartment about an hour later as they had not been made aware of the late check out. Obviously we were shocked to have someone walk into the apartment! We also were not provided with things like milk or tea towels. There were also no bins in either bathroom.

Renovations on the building including swimming pool closure were not disclosed prior to cancellation deadline.

• Rakaia (5/5): Passable - Pros - Spacious apartment, great views (Ocean Front) & prime location Cons - 1. Wash your hair and shave your legs before you leave home as the hot water system is quite small meaning you have about 5 minutes until the hot water will run out/shut off. 2. If you are booking for a long stay ensure you buy your own milk, tea, coffee and sugar soon after arriving if you are a every day coffee/tea drinker as there is only 2-3 small sachets provided in the “Starter Kit” 3. Also remember to bring your own shampoo/body wash. I booked the self contained apartment which they only supplied small bars of soap. 4. Noticed quite a strong damp/mouldy smell coming from the washing machine - Forgot to mention it to reception on check out. 5. Interior of the apartment/exterior of the building could do with a freshen up. 6. Few ants every now and again in the kitchen - Also forgot to mention to reception. Overall I think this place is great, the apartment is spacious, the view you wake up too is unreal and it’s in a great location to cafes and restaurants. If you asked me if I would stay here again I would probably say no unfortunately. I noticed everything was all well and good until somethings not.

(Room was partial ocean view.) Dorothy was lovely and very helpful and knowledgeable about local places to shop / head for dinner.
• Jithin (2/5): Very unclean room - Location and the view Cleanliness was a major issue. The cupboards and the drawers had a pungent smell. The containers and the spoons were not clean at all - had to be washed again The vacuum was in a pathetic condition,we cleaned it to be able to use it. The toilets had a bad smell right from the start - not sure why. Balconies were not in good condition either. The kitchen bench was of a bad quality. It couldn't handle a little bit of heat, too, we had to be extremely careful. It was hard to manage all this, with small kids with us. It would be great if the management 6 note the feedback and provide us with some discount refunds, given that the leisure stay did cause a lot of discomfort.

• Brown (6/5): Pleasant - The view was mesmerising and ever changing. It was perfect to sit and chill watching the sea. I stayed here a few years ago and was looking forward to the same experience. However, our apartment was dated and minalistic.

• Leon (10/5): Wonderful place to stay, right on the beach. - Absolute beachfront property. The ocean view from the balcony was beautiful. The lady at the reception was so lovely and very helpful. We had a wonderful time. The unit had everything we needed, including a washing machine. Main bedroom only had a ceiling fan, got a little bit hot. However, other apartments in the same building have air cons in the bedrooms, so maybe it was just ours.
