Guest Reviews
- Andree (6/5): - The heater did not work for a very cold evening and cold morning….
- Reoun (6/5): Truck Noise - The cabin was new and nicely set up but the road trains running 24/7 were very noisey and at times due to the dust unbearable to stay there. I would avoid this place if you want peace and quiet!
- Belinda (10/5): - Clean,tidy,manager very helpful.
- Rosemary (10/5): - This property was safe and secure and staff was friendly and helpful 🙂
- Tom (10/5): - Good for a overnight stop, the kids enjoyed the swimming pool
- John (10/5): - Everything was great
- Melinda (6/5): Rather expensive for a tiny cabin. - Arrived about 6.30pm during thunderstorms. Power went out 1hr after getting there. Rather expensive for the size of the small cabin & 1hr of power. Power restored around midnight, left early next morning.
- Katherine (6/5): Average overnight stay - We arrived after a blackout started and power didn't return until after we went to sleep, meaning we didn't use much of the cabin apart from the beds. They were quite comfortable however! We had to get takeaway for dinner too, although we'd hoped to use the kitchen we had. That being said I would hate to be someone who paid for a powered caravan spot only to have got the same facilities as unpowered.
I informed the office upon checking out that we didn't get to use the kettle, TV, have a shower etc. and all they said was that the hot water should've been working because it was on gas. We had just driven for eight hours and wouldn't be not washing through lack of trying. There wasn't a whisper of money off a return visit or partial refund.
We parked right outside our cabin and the park and buildings looked to be well maintained. There were no power sockets in the second bedroom despite being a "superior" cabin, however the bathroom was a decent size and the appliances looked to be good quality. I had to move from one bed to another because of noise from another cabin departing, however I would rate this below the motels we've stayed at in town on actual noise level, and the odd truck on the highway was passable in comparison.
- Trevor (10/5): - Perfect great cabin.
- Claire (6/5): - We liked the surrounding environment. We did not love the pool being closed at 5.30 on a 36 degree evening as we missed out on a cooling swim after dinner. Also the air con in our cabin is very inefficient
- Steven (8/5): - ?
- Robyn (6/5): - The cabin was clean however it does require updating, is very tired.
- Chez (10/5): - Loved it great nights sleep after a 10 hr drive
- Heidi (8/5): - great facilities. presentation on arrival welcoming. staff on both arrival and departure friendly and professional,
- Prof John (2/5): - Very poorly equipped and located. Also it was very small.
- Kate (2/5): - Didn’t stay there as the person checking us in said we didn’t have a reservation. That despite he could see it on his computer. The man was the rudest person I have ever encountered. He should NEVER deal with the public.
- Patricia (10/5): - The lagoon was nice
- Annmaree (4/5): - It’s not very nice to see hair on the floor in the bathroom. The lights were not bright, you have to turn all lights to see at night time.
- Donald (8/5): - Nothing not to like, it was conveniently located for our travel plan with all requirements close by.
- David (10/5): - Very happy with the room in the caravan park because we're towing a boat
- Darren (10/5): - Cabin was clean and had everything required
The property itself is located deep in the industrial complex and contains an unfenced waterbody so be careful if you have small children
It poured with rain while we were there and we struggled to keep the inside of our cabin clean. It was adequate for an overnight travel stop
- Peter (10/5): - Easy access and not far from town
- Toni (8/5): - Good access from highway. However, was quite noisy with grain truck traffic through the night.
- Kylie (4/5): - Hot water service insufficient to shower two people
Bed small hard and not enough pillows
- Andrew (10/5): - Friendly staff, clean and tidy park and cabin. Met expectations.
- Jo (8/5): - Thanks for the overnight stay - and for having opportunities to have our dog with us.
- Karen (10/5): - Lovely caravan park and cabin. Staff were amazing and very accomodating to our needs. Lovely large dam and peaceful environment
- Jeff (8/5): - Our room was full of mosquitos, which made for a very uncomfortable stay. The accommodation was fine, but need to do something obout the mozzies.
- Patrica (10/5): - Peaceful and well set up for travelers
- Suman (4/5): - Good location
- nick (6/5): - Satisfactory place to stop, however, if you pay for a pet friendly cabin, shouldn’t be an additional charge for your pet… we have travelled for 4 nights, this was only place that charged you above the quoted price.
- Althea Beryl (10/5): - The unit was beautiful, appeared very new. The unit was lovely and cool when I arrived which was such a thoughtful touch especially after a long drive. The uit over look the dam which had lots of bird life though still obviously recovering from the recent floods. It was very quite and relaxing. Nicest tourist park and unit I have stayed in. I would absolutely stay here again. Congratulations.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I booked a cabin through Wotif, for my dog Monet and I. Confirmed as a “dog-friendly” cabin. On arrival after a 10 hour drive I was met with two very unfriendly people who seemed to think it was my fault that they did not have a “dog-friendly” cabin for me. They said that Wotif used Expedia and just booked ‘any old thing’ and that I should be aware and should have called them in advance. this was booked more than a week in advance and my booking, as I showed them, said I had a dog-friendly cabin. I was made to feel this was all my fault, that I should know better and that in future I should watch out - I’ve managed to travel the world and Australia with my pets without encountering this kind of rudeness before. But if I were to pay an additional $15 cleaning fee for my Groodle I would be given a place for the night. Apart from being swept away by mosquitoes, being warned that I better have my dog on a leash because ‘ some people lie about their dogs’, and then the bone-shattering quake of b-doubles/triples and more making their way past this “quietest tourist park”, I can only thank the heavens I bought ear-plugs prior to my arrival. Never in all my travels the world over, including 3rd world countries, have I been felt to blame for issues the park “managers” clearly have with a 3rd party provider. As a business owner myself, it is not the business of the customer to understand and bear the brunt of the dirty laundry, but to be made to FEEL WELCOME.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice and quiet Tourist Park.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Greta amenities. Lots of truck noise from the highway if you are a light sleeper it’s bad news.
Great cabins well equiped.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was a very lovely, cute little cabin that we stayed in. Staff were more than accommodating for late check in.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Door to cabin did not shut easily and the air con did not work
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Our cabin overlooked the lake with heaps of wildlife.
- Diana (8/5): - Arrived in dark, convenient over night stop. Left next morning at 10am
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Being pet friendly was such a blessing as I have a small dog that travels with me
Communication between us was excellent
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I didn't like the fact that i searched for - selected - and paid for a dog friendly unit - only to be asked to pay extra for a dog when I turned up? Its not the payment that I object to - its the way it happens seems odd.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We stayed in a cabin. It was well fitted out with a full kitchen. The room was quiet and comfortable
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We used this Park as a stopover after a 12hr drive through NSW. We paid for a cabin. The staff were nice enough. The cabins, although dated, are neat and tidy but possibly a bit expensive for what you get. The bed wasn't that comfortable. The dam area and pool area were nice to walk by but the park in general could do with a revamp.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Accommodation was in a cabin, which was clean and tidy with cooking facilities. Very nice. The shower was hot and strong, always nice. The park has a nice pool and other amenities including an outdoor kitchen, would have used it if we were staying longer. One thing was to remember the insect repellent as the park has a nice lake, with ducks and turtles, but a few mozzies come dusk. not a big deal. All over, a pleasant stay and nice break to our travels.
- Greg (10/5): - Cabin was not swish but functional. Amenities clean and good. Nice environs.
- Sue (10/5): - Very clean and friendly staff and it was nice to stay will be back
- Nicole (8/5): - Property was clean and well maintained. Good stopover.
- Traveller (8/5): - It was nice and tidy. Bit out of the way but ticked the boxes I needed
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great Stay for a short business stopover in town. Cabins are fantastic and hosts are exceptional
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was a standard sort of caravan park cabin. It was a little outdated and old.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Just good friendly nice ppl. Nice area. Nice tidy little cabins
- Heath (4/5): Keep driving - Too far from town, cabin was dated, park located in Industrail estate.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was comfortable and well maintained , it had everything we needed
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The beautiful lady on reception was very friendly and helpful at the end of a long day. She helped with food suggestions and made the stay so much easier.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The internal roadways, gardens and landscaping is pretty lacklustre.
The rooms were clean and had everything you needed but relatively expensive for what they were.
- Daniel (10/5): Really enjoyed this ace - Really enjoyed this place, cabin was perfect, clean and a nice park
- Wol (8/5): Great base for a visit to the Warrumbungles - The motel is situated close to the entrance to the Warrumbungle national park so it's a great base for exploring the area. Family-friendly setup with good play areas for children, a pool & even a few golf holes to play.
- Maureen (8/5): Lovely spot, relaxing area. - The cabin was overpriced, we paid for a one bedroom cabin. The bedroom was cramped. In the bathroom the shower was so close to the toilet that when you stepped out of the shower to dry yourself your towel would trail on the toilet. You almost had to do a 360 deg turn to pull paper off the toilet role, there was no light on the dresser so when I needed to use the bathroom I had to turn on the main light which of course woke my husband. very uncomfortable and inadequate.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good for a passing through stop over - Great to just stop for a night. Comfortable beds and clean cabins.
- Grant (8/5): Travelling Tjrough - Needed a sleep after a long drive. Served us very well.
Receptionist spent a long time on the phone when we tried to book in, which was a bit frustrating.
- bill (4/5): Caravan park - To far out of town badly lit delapidated dreadful
- Verified traveler (6/5): quiet stay in cabin - Was disappointed with the cabin. I booked a deluxe cabin one bedroom for two, and thought the double bed would be in the bedroom. But the double bed was in the living area and there was a separate small room with two bunk beds. There was nothing deluxe about it.
There was a fry pan that was in such a disgusting state, it was black and buckled - could not be used I left it out with a note and the electric pan was greasy, had to wash before using.
Outside general tidiness was disappointing.
- Helen & Bruce (8/5): - The park was a bit hard to find, but once we found it, I could not fault it, it was on the river, it was quiet, it was well spread out, staff were very friendly. We only stayed for one night, but it was a nice night.
- Joseph (10/5): - It was very lovely
- Debra (8/5): Satisfied - Was great for our needs, quiet mostly but did only sleep there.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was a bit pricey for its conditions. But overall good
- Verified traveler (10/5): Tourist cabins and caravans in a bush setting - Staff were welcoming on our arrival and helpful in suggesting what to see and where to eat in the area. (Highly recommend the Victoria Hotel in the town centre for a meal.) Tourist park is in a busy industrial area and out of town but the bushland setting more than makes up for that.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely owners - Very friendly and acomadating owners. Nice and quiet.
- Stan (2/5): An error of judgment - We booked the accommodation due to rather glowing reviews. Unfortunately yhat was not our experience. The C.P.was hard to find. The roadside board needs better Top Tourist signage. Best described as'tired' and cramped the cabin is seriously overpriced at $100 p.n. Even a 3 star motel would be far better value. Will not make this mistake again.
- Kay (10/5): Perfect for a quick stopover - Perfect for an overnight stay on our travels. We are towing a trailer, so ample parking space right beside our fully equipped and warm cabin and this also enabled us to unload our stuff and repack a little as well. Staff very friendly and helpful - which was lovely after a long day on the road.
- debbie (8/5): The goondawindi cup - We stayed here so we could attend the races, I rang to say if we could arrive early to get dressed the loveliest lady manger could not be any friendlier, our cabin was very comfy and the buses ran every half hour to and from the track. Well done GOONDAWINDI and thank you top tourist park
- Paul (10/5): Good Tourist Park - Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and spacious villa.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Will definitely stay there again, very friendly staff.
- John (8/5): - Overnight stay was quite and cool with low noise aircon running all night due to heatwave in March!
- Ben (10/5): Everything it should be - Just a quick overnight. Clean, well presented and friendly staff. Nothing fancy but everything that such an option should be.
- J (10/5): Great place to stay - Very very friendly Grwat facilities Hughly recommend
- jill (10/5): like coming home - I was so tired after driving from Dubbo, I was brain dead, the manager directed me to the park, the cabin was awesome clean and comfortable, and.. with a verandah and parking for my Jeep..I cooled down in the pool, had a shower and unpacked my car, I awoke refreshed and repacked my Jeep and drove home, I highly reccomend this park and I will be staying there again myslef..10/10.............
