Guest Reviews
- Billie (5/5): Location was good. - Excellent for pets Had to carry belongings to accommodation as there was no parking directly outside the Huts. Also, the owners drove up the driveway on the last day while we were packing up our car, did not acknowledge us in any way shape or form - just drove on by.

- Vicky (9/5): Great little home away from home. - Fantastic location and accomodation for staying with dogs. Nice and secluded so if you have a “chatty” dog like ours, no other dogs are in their line of vision! Lovely gardens and dog friendly spaces. Close to shops, cafes, pub which are all dog friendly. Easy to access surrounding areas and coast. Cottage was cosy, nicely decorated and well equipped. We loved the doggie portrait canvas hung up on the wall! Only one minor issue. The bathroom cabinet had a strange, unpleasant smell on opening it. But this did not impact our stay at all.
- Robyn (8/5): Cottage nestled in lovely surroundings. - Comfortable bed, clean, situated in lovely garden, close to Woombye shops.
- Bill (10/5): -
- Jen (9/5): The perfect escape to paradise. Pawfect! - The gardens and cabin were lovely. The cabin had everything you need. The gardens felt like Fiji. The gated yard and dog playground made the stay relaxing for everyone. The blinds and side tables were really dusty, I ended up wiping them over as they caused allergies.
- Deborah (10/5): Great place to for a holiday with your pets 👍🏽 - It’s a beautiful place I loved how dog friendly it was and dog gift basket.
- Richard (10/5): -
- Kellie (10/5): Relaxing place to stay. - We loved staying here. Close to the pub which had great food. It was really hot when we were there, so the pool was a welcome relief with a good amount of shade. The grounds and gardens were lovely. A good place to stay if you have a dog, ours loved it. Overall would highly recommend. Nothing.

- judith (8/5): - we had one night where air conditioner was not working, and so many instructions on leaving the cottage, we are both 90yrs old Nina and David were most obliging in answering our questions and we thank them sincerely.
- Jake (10/5): - Amazing property
- Kevin (10/5): - Perfect place to get away with your furry friends and have a break. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
- Sandra (8/5): - The whole experience was great. The area, the cottages and the facilities were without fault. We will definitely be back and will absolutely recommend the place

- Verified traveler (8/5): - private quiet restful
- Verified traveler (10/5): - S.V.C is a wonderful hidden gem & we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay for Easter! We stayed in "The Stockman" Cottage. The Cottages are beautiful, immaculately clean, cosy & there isn't a thing the owners haven't thought about when it comes to making sure you have a comfortable and pleasant stay. I really loved the bbq on the verandah, it was perfect for breakfasts if you prefer to self cater. The property itself is well maintained, very peaceful with nothing but bird songs, so perfect to escape the city noise. Plenty of things to do and see if you have a car.
Thank you Nina for giving us the most wonderful stay in your beautiful paradise.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Quiet and friendly service
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quiet, peaceful and very relaxing 😌 very private and great escape for couples. Pet friendly also and a pool!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We had a lovely weekend here for my birthday. Would have been nice to have comfortable chairs on verandah. ☹️Also the railings on stairs should go down to bottom steps for us oldies. The dog treats are a lovely addition. Great place to stay.
- David (10/5): - Was looking for a couple of quiet days in nice surroundings. This property was perfect with the nice pool and our little puppy was most welcome. We will be going back soon !
- Dianne (8/5): Cottages with everything you need and ideal for fo - The reception and communication were both very good. The hosts were helpful and did their best to ensure that we were comfortable . Despite having some difficulties with electricity we were ok . The location is excellent and close to all essential amenities. Parking is good and most importantly for us we could have our pet with us. A clean , safe peaceful cottage.
- Jamie (10/5): - Great little place. Cleanliness of the bathroom and the pool could be better, but otherwise lovely
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We enjoyed being away from anything and anyone, but were close enough to amenities if and when needed. Loved the greenery outside our cottage and the choice of breakfast brought to us, bonus!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Sunshine at Sunshine Cottages - Everything we needed plus a tranquil garden setting just a hop and step from a lovely country town and amazing scenery
- Verified traveler (10/5): - located in a peaceful country style location, yet close to all amenities.
Everything we needed was there, and the hosts were amazingly friendly and always available for any questions or suggestions
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I highly recommend this place it's unfortunate that lack of communication between the hotel expideia and I ruined my trip. I have stayed here before loved it which is why I came back. The room and surroundings were still great but I was charged $150. Still waiting a reply from hotel or Expedia to what's going on, then woken up and told to leave when I still had an hour before check out.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Parking was differcult and quite a distance to carry luggage in the rain. A spa or at least a fire place would be nice.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean, private, peaceful. Good amenities. Cosy. Good kitchen facilities and bbq.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very comfortable, beautiful garden, well appointed cottage, pleasant owner:
Bar BQ was not properly cleaned, spider webs behind bedside drawers and front veranda needed a good clean. Slat broken on bed base which was a little uncomfortable. Just requires some TLC.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The property owner took money from credit card prior to our arrival, and it states on Wotif that the credit card is for security only not payment. As I wanted to pay cash not credit. 1 person on site for about an hour then nobody except the dog was on the property. Needed a spatula to cook breakfast but nobody around to ask or borrow one from.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lovely cottages that have been updated in beautiful setting. Very helpful and friendly host.
- Warren (10/5): Private Getaway - Lovely rainforest feel cottage. Well set up and totally private.
- Richard (8/5): Great hinterland base - Sunshine Valley Cottages makes a great base to explore the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and is still less than half an hour's drive to Mooloolaba on the coast if you want time on the beach. We stayed in the Swagman cabin which was comfortable and clean - maybe a little dark but the shade would be welcome in summer. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. We had a lightning strike very close by one morning which took out the power but they were round to sort it out and check everything was OK as soon as we let them know (they live on site).
The surrounding area is great to explore with picturesque local towns, some great walks and good eating options.
- Monique (10/5): Cozy, private, beautiful grounds - Gorgeous cottages (only 3 on the property, nicely spaced out), looks fresh neat and well taken care of inside and out, great amenities for 2 person accommodation.
Also great communication from the owners
- Nick (10/5): Lovely getaway - Stayed here for 2 nights recently and would thoroughly recommend it! The cabin I stayed in was charming, with modern décor and very clean, not particularly big but more than comfortable for 2 adults & a dog. Pleasant grounds and a 10 minute walk to the Woombye pub, which does decent food.
- Warren (8/5): Private Stay - Lovely self contained cottage.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely quiet surroundings with modern finishes - Lovely, quiet stay in Hinterland for couples. Everything is close but far enough away. Gorgeous surroundings
- Verified traveler (10/5): - peaceful, tranquil
- Verified traveler (10/5): Romantic getaway - Cabin was perfect for our stay. It rained constantly, but we were happy and comfortable. Great location.
- Paul (10/5): Great for a Relaxing get away. - We recently stayed for a relaxing two night get away - and these cottages where perfect for us.
The owners where very welcoming, the accommodation very clean (spotless!), with modern fitting and decorated to a high standard.
The grounds, while not extensive are well maintained and create a relaxing environment. The location is great, just outside Woombye, and 15 mins to the coast and places like Montville.
Woombye is a small place, but has a good bakery, coffee shops, good size supermarket. Good pubs can be found in Woombye and Palmwoods - 5 mins away.
We'd recommend these cottages for a couple looking for a break.
- Diane (8/5): Nice and private - The cabin was very clean and set in gardens which provided privacy from the other two cabins. Thought there wasn't a cook top but it is a portable electric one stored in the cupboard. The bed was very comfortable and overall the cabin was well set out and had all the basics.
- Mike (10/5): Quiet cottage... cute. - Beautiful little private cottage on the outskirts of the township... Easy access to adjacent townships... Easy self check-in... Unfortunately our stay was short as time was limited.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Beautiful log cabin - Great 1 or 2 night getaway. Quiet except for a bit of road noise but clean and well equipped cabin.
- Brian (6/5): Relaxing place. - Accom is good, but the website does perhaps oversell it a bit. Gardens for example are small and not special, you need to walk across the muddy grass to get to the unit, and the Kitchen was a bit sparsely equipped. Quick to charge 10$ for staying past the 10am check out, so keep that in mind.
OK place to stay though.
- John (10/5): Serene Rain forest Cabin - We enjoyed sitting on the verandah listening to the birds and having a drink
- Jan (10/5): Beautiful setting - The owners were helpful in suggesting places to eat and things to see. The cabin was very comfortable and quiet, just what we needed after a busy day on the road. We loved the setting with the beautiful trees and bird life.
- Maureen (4/5): Cottages in a garden setting. - The cottage was well away from the other 2 cottages so lots of privacy. It was very well appointed and contemporary in the decor and furnishings, very comfortable to look at but I was very disappointed with the smell of dust which influenced me to leave a day early. The fly screens were vey thick with dust and so were the wooden blinds ( which were right beside the bed ) with cobwebs hanging from the ceiling above the bed head. With a little more eye for details in the cleaning department this cottage would be a winner.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel in beautiful surroundings. - Clean room and friendly staff. The only minor issue was we had to leave early 4am and it was completely black outside with no lighting. Made it a struggle to get to the car with luggage also had to hold mobile phone to see where we were going.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Comfortable basic Cabin - Set in really nice gardens and very private but needs an exhaust fan in the bathroom.
- Barbara (8/5): central to Sunshine coast attractions - We were able to access tourist attractions and do lots of sightseeing from this well appointed location. Woombye itself is a lovely town.
- Asher (10/5): Great, peaceful and relaxing cottage to stay at. - Cute little cottage in beautiful surrounds. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom and kitchen were very nice. The staff were non intrusive and respected our privacy while also being very friendly and accomadating.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect little getaway location - Loved it, lush and tranquil. Very well kept accomodation and lovely people.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very clean - Room was very clean and comfortable to sleep in. Receptionist was very welcoming and friendly. Enjoyed our stay.
- Sam (6/5): - Great atmosphere and facilities written us unlimited internet but got 600MB also they need to replace pillows and mattres so hard and terrible dont uave good sleep at all....
- Bridgit (10/5): Cute, cosy cottages - Possibly the best stay I have ever experienced. These cottages ooze charm and comfort creating a feeling of relaxation from the moment we arrived. Beautiful gardens, friendly hosts and accommodation that offered all the creature comforts. The Woombye Pub courtesy bus pick up and drop off service was an added bonus. A sumptuous cooked breakfast complete with coffee and orange juice was delivered to our cottage at our designated time and we were able to pick our own mandarins and lemonade fruit from the garden. Complimentary wii fii, the most comfortable bed and settee along with the elegant décor and classy bathroom completed the picture. Thank you Nina and David for a wonderful stay, we will definately be back.
- Robbie (10/5): Quiet getaway place - The best thing about this place was, it was inland and approx 20 - 30 mins away from the beach and metropolitan region, There are local shops up the road which was very convenient there's also a pub that delivers good meals at a decent price.
- MARISSA (10/5): - Wonderful couple who made us feel right at home. Bit tough transferring our heavy luggage from the parking area to the house but the ambience was wonderful. Nice and quiet. All the amenities were there and the heater soon warmed things up once we figured out how it worked. The Woombye Pub, which is close, is good for dinner and a drink and very close by. We only stayed a night but a great place to hang out.
- Hayley (10/5): Hassle Free, completely private - Our stay was completely hassle free, everything was organised before we arrived and the cottage is totally private, we didn't sight another person the whole time we were there.
