• Deb (9/5): - It was close to start of GWSS. Close to supermarket and cafes. It was very clean and and partly refurbished so was surprised considering it is an old building Nothing really

• Carmel (9/5): Great, will return - It was easy to get to. Staff friendly I said in an earlier question that they didn’t put our rooms next to each other, but they were fully booked they wouldnt have been able to, do perfectly fine with it. Parking is tight but works if neighbours are friendly.

However my only upset was the connecting door let a lot of noise in from the people next door and was not really soundproof. It felt like they were sharing our room. Definatlty needs looking at. As i have said the noise from the people next door comming through the locked connecting door was like we were sharing a room with us.
• stephen (8/5): Nice - Friendly helpful host. Nice location, very clean.but. my neighbour in room 8 But the people in other unit 7woke me up at 4.30am talking loud which kept me awake until 8.30 am. I was going to complain to staff but he was also out there too chatting and ignoring the fact that the other Tennant was swearing disturbing others. But the first night was perfect. The host should have been more proactive to keeping the peace .

• Christina (9/5): - The manager was very friendly and the location was excellent, it was an easy walk to the water and very close to the main streets full of shops and restaurants. Portland is a small town with adequate sidewalks and street crossings so we didn't have to take our rental car to most places. The room was exactly as described in the listing so it worked well for us. Nothing, everything was good!

• Ken (4/5): Very disappointed. - The room was clean as was the linen The facility was old. There was insufficient hot water for two people to have a shower. The vanity which was located in the bedroom area was also the sink in the kitchenette. The bed was worn and needs to be replaced. The adjoining walls are thin meaning noise from other units can be heard. The facility lies between a service station/car wash, a Funeral Parlour and a construction site.

• Chris (9/5): Great Stay at the Admella - The location was great, quiet, a short walk to main street shops and also the visitor's information center. It is ideally located for the GSWW. The staff were very accomodating. meeting our needs by minding two small bags between our stays either side of the GSWW.

• Neil (1/5): We didn’t stay at the hotel. We couldn’t bring ourselves to sleep or either sleep in the room. - The hotel was awful. The photos online are not a true representation. The bathrooms need upgrading in particular the shower recesses. We decided we could not stay at the hotel due to the overpowering disinfectant that was used, probably to cover the age of the furniture and fittings. We wouldn’t have been able to sleep The hotel is suitable for student backpackers only. We booked the rooms based on the web photos and the room rate which is middle of the range for the area. The manager did not care about our concerns. We found another hotel up the road to stay in which meant one night in Portland for pensioners was way out of our budget. That payment is taken upfront. What we paid for is not what was depicted online. More importantly, the manager did not want to know about our very valid comments.
