Guest Reviews
- Adr Soo (10/5): Amazing place to stay for couple. - The location is good to explore margaret river wineries, the chalet is well equiped. Peaceful and well kept. Would be good if the windows had locks.
- Lisa (10/5): Beautiful chalet in a very private and serene location. Would definitely recommend. - The location was beautiful. It felt like you were the only people in the middle of a forest. The chalet was very comfortable and the outside fire pit was a real bonus. The chalet just needed a little bit of maintenance. Unfortunately the fridge is very noisy and because your surroundings are so quiet at night, it did wake us several times through the night. Also just a repair on the dripping shower head.
- Paul (7/5): - Quite a lot of black caterpillars all through the rooms
Would have disposed of about 20 odd
- mehrnoush (9/5): -
- Laura (8/5): -
- Jessica (10/5): A lovely peaceful stay in the bush chalets set amongst the vineyard. - The chalets are so clean and well equipped and on a beautiful property. You can go to the cellar door and enjoy the wines with the owners which is very special. We bought our own air fryer down as we noticed there wasn’t an oven which was handy.
- Natalie (9/5): -
- colleen (8/5): A big plus for me was the bedding was clean, fresh and looked immaculate. Thank you ! - The location was central.
The chalets were a good distance apart
It was so peaceful and enjoyed the rustling of the leaves at night . Only a small issue we only had one toilet roll.
The cellar opened an hour after checkout
- Di (9/5): Setting, location and facilities of the chalet were beautiful and made for a gorgeous couple of days in paradise - The property is in a beautiful bushland setting and perfectly located for daytime exploring.
The cottage was beautifully presented and clean There was little that we didn’t like. It was a lovely experience.
Only challenge was the spa bath/shower combination. Uneven floor in the shower was interesting to navigate
- Lesley (7/5): - The locality was beautiful and serene. Easy accessibility to shops and townships. The spa was not conducive for older clientelle. It would be far better to have a separate shower in place.
We did request two single beds but had to settle for a double in the second bedroom.
- Njihia (10/5): Girls Weekend Getaway - Everything about the place was beautifully aesthetic. The chalet was beautiful, the kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms were very spacious, the beds very comfortable. The atmosphere was serene and everything felt amazing.
- Mark (10/5): Had a beautiful stay and although for work, we felt recharged - loved the nature and feel, thank you. - We loved the unit and amenities, very comfortable, spacious and great surrounds. Loved the wine tasting and excellent hosts, Sham and Lucy. Gorgeous grounds and animals and forest. Beautiful spot. Nothing it’s exceptional.
- HEATHER (6/5): Not what we expected. The Bussell Hwy was.noisy so not exactly tranquil. - Secluded and comfortable furniture No oven and hardly any space for clothes and groceries
- Kate (10/5): A beautiful property in a wonderful location - Everything! A really beautiful house with the loveliest outlook. The Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The kitchen was very well equipped and the lounge was very comfortable. The BBQ was brand new. We enjoyed coffees in the morning sitting outside on the verandah looking out at the vineyards. Nothing
- CeeKay (10/5): Great spot for exploring the south west - clean, comfortable, spacious and peaceful. - Location was perfect - we stayed in the residence (3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms) which was quiet and peaceful even though it's accessed from Bussell Highway. The house overlooked the vineyards, with a big lawn in front - and was very close to everything...10 mins to Cowaramup, 14 mins to Dunsborough, wineries, beach, hiking and mountain biking trails etc all very accessible. House was spotless and well equipped and the hosts responded quicky to a query. Enjoyed walking around the property and in the forest behind the winery,, and loved the birdlife and kangaroos. A laundry basket would be a good addition ...and suggest a barn door or sliding door could be considered to provide separation and a noise barrier between the main lounge and the second lounge area and twin bedroom. But we honestly liked everything!
- Andrew (10/5): Perfect - Private, peaceful very clean
Went for wine tasting and owners took a lot of time to chat while tasting their range of wines
- judyhl (10/5): - Peaceful location, excellent facilities, great wine Nothing
- Jordan (8/5): -
- Kezza (10/5): A short drive to the many of the sights of the south west of WA - really enjoyed our experience! - A well appointed accommodation - small Items like olive oil provided - a very clean and comfortable space.
- Grant (8/5): Wonderful place to stay for the weekend - Overall the chalets are very comfortable and they have everything we needed for the weekend. The firepit was a bonus with the provision of marshmallows as a bit of a treat. Love it. No complaints whatsoever. Older people should be aware that the bathroom is a little cramped and the floor of the spa/shower is sloping with a deep channel that could be a little bit hazardous for footing. You have to watch your footing whilst standing in the shower. just something to be aware of.
- Heddwyn (10/5): - Gret location, very private and the room was lovely.
- peter (9/5): Overall we had an excellent stay and value for money - Excellent location to all attractions. Beautiful surroundings and very peaceful No oven and more comfortable outdoor chairs
- Henri (8/5): Good break near Margaret River - Peaceful and tranquil stay in the midst of Jarra forrest. Chance to encounter few kangaroos in the morning. The toilet doesn’t have a curtain and it will accumulate water on the floor.
- Max (9/5): - Great location and lovely surrounds
Jill was really helpful and friendly Was a little expensive for what it was internally but the location is particularly special
- piniwaty (10/5): -
- Russell (10/5): Charming chalet to come back to relax after wine exploring - The seclusion, the kangaroo hopping in the forest, the jacuzzi, the clear night skies.
- Adrian (10/5): Delightful peaceful chalet in the forest for great relaxation. - Delightful chalet accommodation in the forest part of the winery. Visited for four days over Easter 2025, family of four with two teenagers, the hosts made up single beds for them. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming, we did wine tasting plus spotted kangaroos and kookaburras on our walks around the estate. Very quiet and relaxing, enjoyed the bbq on the terrace. There is a hot tub in the bathroom but we didn’t get to using it this time. Nothing.
- Howard (8/5): Awesome - Clean and homely. All necessities are provided Price to value
- Ethel (9/5): Superb -
- Andriette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Seyed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (9/5): Very enjoyable, relaxing and rejuvenating - Loved the cabin surrounded by bush and the friendly staff Nothing
- Michael (10/5): Wonderful relaxing place in a great location for seeing the area. - Wonderful attention to detail. Thanks Jill and Paul
- robert (8/5): - Lovely spot in a forest setting. Quiet and peaceful. Unfortunately taking a shower was a very hazardous process owing to the design of the bath below it.
- Sharna (10/5): - Very relaxing for our christmas break
- Philippa (10/5): Exceptional - Location was quiet and wildlife to enjoy from our doorstep
- Deborah (10/5): Beautiful bushland escape. - The bush views from all the rooms and the BBQ area outside. Big comfy beds. The dangerous angle on the giant bath. It caused us all to slip while using the shower. Fortunately, noone fell but it is asking for a fall. Could maybe be highlighted with coloured paint or put a wooden grate over it.
- Wilhelmina (10/5): Exceptional - I enjoyed the quite open space . I appreciated Jill hospitality when we arrived Nothing .. Everything was great!
- Kiara (8/5): Very good -
- Lucy (10/5): Beautiful place in a quiet, relaxing location - It is in a beautiful location and the chalet is surrounded by by a gum forest so is lovely and quiet. The chalet is a great size and is nicely decorated and complete with all the small details that make it a perfect place to relax. Big, fluffy towels, large and very comfy bed. Great kitchen with coffee machine and milk frother, stove top, microwave, toaster etc. I enjoyed a morning run around the forest and vineyard. We saw parakeets, a huge lizard, lots of little birds and an owl. It’s just 25 min drive to Busselton.
- Martin (9/5): Lovely chalet in forest location - Great forest location. Peaceful and quiet. Pleasant chalet. Very clean and tastefully decorated. Large comfy beds. Jill (your host) really helpful in enabling us to do a huge amount of laundry. Decent toiletries. Well situated for touring the area from Cape to Cape and beyond. A lovely forest view from the shower but you need to be pretty nimble to use it! it's on a kind of strange slope, though we managed just fine. Don't let that put you off!
- Dianne (8/5): Very good -
- Kwong (8/5): Very good - It was a nice and secluded location. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Appreciated that there was extra blankets for the colder nights. The water pressure was very weak and in the bathroom there was a glass shelf above the sink which was too close which made it a hazard if you wanted to lean in to wash your face.
- Murray (9/5): Superb - Great location, near everything.Quiet bush atmosphere. Very clean and comfortable with everything you need.
- Briellen (9/5): Superb -
- Margot (9/5): Superb -
- Annette (8/5): Very good -
- Katja (10/5): Nothing short of amazing. We loved it. - A really special place! Loved it and will be back!
- Eileen (6/5): Loved the location, just wished the shower could be fixed and will definitely rekey come back again. - Charming cottage nestled amongst trees. The bathroom. It had a hot tub with a ceiling shower, but it was so dangerous trying to shower. The tub slopes downwards, so you shower in fear of slipping and falling.
Do not recommend for families with kids or elderlies - it’s treacherous even for able bodied adults.
- Gary (8/5): Was out most of the time. Central to the Margaret river conclave. Homely within the chalet. - Central to everything we wanted to experience. The bed, living area was good. Was homely Trying to get in and out of the shower was a bit awkward
- Christopher (9/5): Superb - Great location, easy reach of everything in the Margaret River area. Very nice chalet surrounded by woodland sufficiently far from the other two chalets to be completely private. The chalet was very well equipped and very comfortable. The private wine tasting was excellent as were the wines. Nothing
- Harcharan (8/5): - It was a nice chalet.
Just minor item is the doors couldn’t close.
And bathroom lock not functioning.
Excellent natural setting.
A place to spend time with nature
- jack (10/5): - lovely cosy place to stay thankyou, hoping to come again in october :)
- Pascale (10/5): - Great welcome. Wonderful location. They prepped the fire pit and we were able to enjoy the evening. Next morning we had breakfast with a few Roos bouncing past.
- Tina (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful, peaceful location. A chalet amongst amazing bushland with awesome views from every window. Chalets are clean and well equipped and the owner was very responsive to all communication. 5 Star. Will stay again.
- Karike (10/5): Relaxing Getaway - Beautiful stay surrounded by nature, and staff were very friendly. Our chalet had everything we needed for a relaxing breakaway from the city. Would highly recommend! Nothing
- Philip (9/5): We had a fantastic time in the cabin in the bush. - I didn't realize they were going to send me a Code for the door so when we arrived and couldn't find anyone I had to phone them to confirm where we were staying. A muddle up on both our parts. We had a fantastic stay in this lovely cabin and found it so relaxing being right amongst the trees. Thank you. All was wonderful.
- Vanessa (9/5): Relaxing and easy! - Great host and great location. Clean and private. Shower- nervous of slipping getting in and out over spa bath- floor surface is on a slope and not good for short legs.
- Nataka (9/5): Cozy and clean charlet - The charlet is very cozy, clean, and equipped. The beds are comfortable. Smart TV, kitchen, outdoor tables are perfect for our vacation. The bathroom is big but little space to put our amenities.
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Alison (7/5): Lovely Chalet that needs some improvements - We stayed in the Chardonnay Chalet . The location was great and very clean with comfortable beds with nice linen . The staff were lovely and Jill was very responsive with messages Property Advertised with sofa bed but didn’t have one . When I enquired the response was that booking.com made the error with no solution offered ? The shower over the spa bath was awkward and unsafe with uneven floor . ( I would put a warning for older quests as it could easily cause a fall ) The bedroom door in the room by the bathroom wouldn’t close as door fitted incorrectly so no privacy there . The power box was painted over so you wouldn’t be able to open if you needed to reset the RCD .
- Brett (8/5): Very relaxing getaway for my wife and I - Easy and good instructions for arrival, private, peaceful, clean and relaxing. TV couldn't get local channels very well and a soft footstool would have been good.
- Nicci (9/5): Superb -
- Chi (8/5): Very good - Very spacious and well-maintained and the bed is comfortable to sleep in. Nothing much to dislike. Would be nice if they offer some form of fruit basket or wine from the estate as a welcome gift as part of the stay.
- Katja (9/5): Overall a very beautiful and tranquil, serene place right in the bush with a beautiful outlook surrounded by beautiful n - Beautifully renovated, all new and very nicely furnished, very comfy beds. Well equipped incl Nespresso machine and milk frothed. Loved the 2 big king size beds in separate rooms as travelling a friend and great to be able to both sleep in a comfy Big bed in separate rooms.
Amazing surrounded by bush with no view of other houses so great privacy and peace and quiet (apart from the Bussel Highway you hear a little bit especially in the morning) despite such a remote place. Great location to access the North West of Margaret River Region. You have got to love nature when you stay here. We had a big spider, probably a huntsman in the living room the 2nd night which can happen but freaked me out a bit. Luckily crawling insect spray was provided.
Hearing the Highway was a bit sad given you sleep directly in the bush (but other people would hardly notice that, it’s subtle and in the background. Whisper quiet at night).
There were some hard fruits/nuts dropping out of the tree onto the tin roof which made a loud sound.
But I guess that’s seasonal.
Overall a very beautiful and tranquil, serene place right in the bush with a beautiful outlook surrounded by beautiful native bush area.
- Jess (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tanya (8/5): Very good -
- Melissa (10/5): Lovely! I would 100% stay here again and will recommend it to friends. - Beautiful views! Comfortable interior decor and beds, great outdoor furniture and grill. All around pretty excellent! The master was very comfortable and we slept so well! But the other two bedrooms were a bit hot for our friends. Maybe you could add a rotating fan just in the summer months. Otherwise, the property is perfect!
- Rosemary (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (10/5): Excellent place for quiet family stay; great location for touring the Margaret River region by car. -
- Sara (9/5): Highly recommend - Extremely comfortable chalet with all the necessary requirements. Very peaceful and private but close to all the area has to offer. Jill was very responsive and happy to help with any issues. Would highly recommend.
- Jon (10/5): Exceptional - The chalet was beautifully presented, clean and cool particularly given how hot it was. Location was beautiful and it was easy to find the chalet. Would definitely return.
- Jessica (10/5): Increíbly peaceful place with everything you need. Lock yourself here with a good book and bottle of wine - Everything
Peaceful, clean , everything you want Nothing, it was perfect
- Amy (10/5): Great location - Great location, good sized bedrooms, clean
- Diane (9/5): Easily accessible, quiet location for explorythe area. - The chalet was in a nice quiet Forest setting which was great for relaxing after our day exploring the area. We had a 2 night stay. If it hadn’t been fire season we would have loved the chance to sit around the outside fire pit. Sat on the veranda instead and enjoyed the natural setting. All four of our party felt uncomfortable using the shower over the spa bath with its uneven, slippery base. It was hard to avoid water being splashed all over the floor from the rain head shower. there was a shortage of places to put toilet bags etc. We didn’t use the spa bath.
- Yemane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kiki (10/5): Exceptional - Nature, peace, beautiful chalet and the fire place is the cherry on the cake.
The accommodation is so close to everything which made it such a great trip.
- Yu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melony (10/5): Great property, able to completely switch off from the outside world, highly recommend to anyone wanted to unwind and re - Self contained cabin in convenient location for days outings whilst maintaining privacy with nature on your doorstep. All the amenities needed, wifi, bbq, cozy fire pit, good size spa bath, coffee machine, tasteful decor, comfortable king size bed with quality linen, comfortable lounge/dining area, accomodating and helpful staff. Loved the property, only observation was that the outside table and chairs weren’t overly comfortable for a day lazing on verandah with a book but were great for outside dinning.
- Rei (9/5): Jill very efficient and attentive. He responded to my text msg promptly. On first night, it was cold as the warmer in li - Before arrival, the host would send personal msg to reminder the stay. We informed our ETA, Jill is thoughtful to leave the lights on for us. I love the location, accessible to tourists attractions. The area is safe. The house is big to accommodate 10 of us. A beautiful greenery at backyard, with wild kangaroos greeting us in morning. The house is clean and comfortable. They have a BBQ pit. I love the fire warmer experience in the living room. The bathtub need to keep clean. Water heater is not hot after the 7th person went shower on first night. I am not sure if the hot water in the tank ran out, have to wait for next cycle. Subsequent nights works fine.
- Trina (10/5): we had a fantastic stay at island brook estate , beautiful grounds to walk around - location was fabulous
- Tania (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jodi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Catherine (10/5): Relaxing - The beautiful comfy beds
- Anonymous (9/5): Peaceful & just beautiful everywhere you looked. Magnificent Homestead. - The amount of space in all the rooms & gardens was massive, equipped fully with everything you could possibly need. The views of the vineyards and forest were amazing and there were ample comfortable beds. The hot tub was out of order.
- Dean (9/5): break away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to explore the area - well furnished secluded cabin in middle of the woods and wildlife
