- Amy-lee (8/5): - Nice property
- Christopher (8/5): - There are no staff on site, but only 2 guests,\.
- Denis (6/5): - The coffee machine didn't work, shower head needs replacing, towels need replacement, the hour and cold water were both connected ie no cold water
- Tessa (6/5): - got the job done but nothing special - quite outdated and smelled strongly of floral cleaning products. Water was warm even from the cold tap.
- Hao (8/5): - Good value . Only thing thar is not right is the vent fan in the bathroom is very noisy.
- Colin (8/5): - Nothing further to add
- JaneF217 (8/5): Good overnight stop. - Clean and comfortable, spacious room Only drawback was that there was no person in reception. Access to room was via a key safe - number provided by text message prior to arrival.
A good staging post on our drive to Newcastle.
Great value for money.
- 57chevycustom (10/5): Wedding party - Great motel, very well looked after grounds, great owners very friendly couldn't have been more helpful. Rooms are very clean & comfortable. Great location. Short walk to town centre & oaklands event centre. Looking forward to our next stay.
- JTreloar (10/5): Excellent base to explore Pambula - Great place to stay, excellent. Dinner in the pub, Thai in historic building, explore the cemetery, visit the beach, enjoy Pandoola. The hosts at the motel were great and helpful. Loved the stay! Recommended broardwater oysters and a trip to Candelo.
- ndibs (8/5): Comfortable - A little dated, comfortable and very friendly staff.
Comfortable bed, wifi, coffee machine a great bonus,
everything works superbly.
A nice place to stay
Saying that, the evacuation plan is deficient (non- AS3745 conforming).
- 7vesnam (10/5): A nice surprise - We stumbled upon this place on our drive from Canberra to Melbourne and were sorry we had to leave after just one night. Very comfortable, well equipped, large room, handy kitchenette, nice patio. Friendly service. All in all a very pleasant experience. BBQ facilities.
- kevindS2735FV (10/5): lovely place - Stayed a couple of nights at this motel whilst exploring the area around eden tathra bermagui, bega etc. Lovely room and bathroom. Very efficient reverse cycle aircon. Comfortable settee and good size tv. No cooked breakfast but room had microwave and frypan and pod coffee machine which was a first for me ,so cooking meals was a good option, as other options were limited because of the times we live in with this virus .However pizza Thai and indian take aways all available .Friendly staff who rang me in advance to say they had hot water issues which was much appreciated. However this was solved when i got there.Great walking tracks directly behind motel.
- glenl673 (10/5): Fantastic - We stayed here for 3 nights and right from the start is was great.DJ &Sandra went out there way to make us feel welcome we received a bottle of wine when we booked in.rooms were very clean and comfortable nothing was to much trouble.
DJ even helped me with my flat tyre and showed me where to get it fixed.
Short walk to the main street .Would definitely recommend this place to stay very enjoyable
- Michael (6/5): - Clean but very dated. Close to local amenities
- Retiredwooly (8/5): Great Place to Relax - I can't imagine how anybody good have a gripe about the ildewilde Motel, We stayed with a group of 1o Probus people for for 5 nights package and the owners were absolutely great and made our stay very worth while. The rooms are very clean and tidy and the Continental Breakfast was very good. The Seafood buffet was fabulous.
Woulf definately recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - the position in relation to Pambula. Very convenient to functions at Oaklands etc.
- geoffp452 (10/5): Excellent. - I can't understand the negative reviews. As on our previous two stays, we found everything to be as desired, from the friendliness in the phone booking and subsequent reception to the comfort of the room. Seniors discount brought the tariff to a very reasonable $110. The continental breakfasts at $10 were good. The room was spacious with two comfortable armchairs and the kitchen equipment comprised of toaster, electric jug, electric frypan, and (surprise) a pod coffee machine. En-suite was spotless and worked well, including a well-placed toilet roll holder, not requiring contortions to reach (a thing of mine).
- 161bluep (2/5): New Management isn't necessarily a good thing - I have stayed at this motel many times over recent years. The previous owners were friendly and welcoming, and really added to the enjoyment. The new owners have no people skills, and detract from the enjoyment of your holiday. I used to be able disregard the tired state of the decor.
- X1989ZLbarbarad (10/5): Lovely Motel - Idlewilde is a lovely motel right next to the Panboola Wetlands and a very short walk from shops, coffee shops etc in Pambula. We had a very comfortable spacious room with all the facilities we needed. Thank you Sandra and DJ for your welcome - we felt very relaxed here and
will be returning later in year.
- terry (10/5): Highly recommended - We highly recommend this Motor Inn, this motel is very clean and comfortable and the owners go way out of their way to make your stay a wonderful one. We will definitely stay here next time we are in this beautiful area.
- Karl (10/5): Idlewilde - Stayed to attend a funeral and they were happy for us to check in early to change and get ready - they made sure all 5 rooms were ready, much appreciated.
Friendly and easy to deal with, happy to stay again.
- Kevin (10/5): - It was a great experience. The host was extra nice. Close to Pambula beach.
- RobynT412 (6/5): Going north - For the cost, $179 for one night, we were very disappointed. The room was clean but could possibly be classed as retro, if found in antique shop. The brick walls, the dated bathroom really were not what one expects this day and age.
The room had facilities for self catering and the benefit of bring able to wash up and prepare food in designated kitchen area. The coffee machine was a wonderful touch.
We may have been spoiled by our first night stay in Sale where the organisation is in the process of refurbishing the rooms to a very high standard with the cost $139 per night.
- D&D (8/5): - Comfortable bed
roomy arm chairs to sit on
Coffee pods a surprise
- martinoconnor (10/5): Lovely little sanctuary - Clean and neat , close to town and other activities, great host. Stayed 3 nights, dj ( manager) gave us a comprehensive run down on arrival, of places to go things to see, turns out he was spot on. Loved the cool calm simplicity of the room , the bed was a little soft for my comfort, however the aircon and fan more than made up for it on those 30+ nights. The only thing is, please dont tell everyone , because we will be back and will be telling OUR friends.
- PG101010 (10/5): Surprise and delight - We are coming back here! The motel is terrific. Modern, clean, close to town and lots of open space. The wetlands walks start from the motel BBQ area. Our hosts are the most friendly we have met. The brewery across the road is great too.
- Richard (8/5): - comfortable accommodation, nice owners.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel - Great service and very clean
- Jennifer (10/5): - Last minute stay and it was great. There was no stairs to the room and quite peaceful at night in regards to traffic. Very clean and neat.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very comfortable and close to eating places, clean and quiet
- mick (10/5): - Very nice staff and comfortable room. Thank you nothing was a problem and close to all amenities. Nice little town
- Gary (10/5): - Great location within a short walk to town. Spacious and clean room with a nice kitchenette. The pool looked nice, although at 3 degrees I wasn't game to try it! Would definitely stay here again.
- Deborah (10/5): - Had a great stay, parking was easy and right at your door. Rooms are a little older fashioned but clean and had plenty of hot water. Loved the kitchenette.
- 61JohnR61 (8/5): Clean comfortable - The Idlewidle Motor Inn is exactly as described, clean, comfortable and reasonably priced.
The rooms are certainly adequate but do not expect your room to be serviced if you re not ready in morning. It is shame that breakfast is not available but it is a short walk to the Bakery.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice motel - Nice motel could have been a little cleaner in the bathroom the vanity looked like it needed cleaning and the ceiling fan didn't look to secure. Sound stuff office staff no overly welcoming especially when we inquired about breakfast but in saying that I am not saying the office staff we unhelpful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Older style, unfortunately close to noisy road but park at door, very clean, comfortable bed, hot shower, friendly staff and reasonable tariff.
- Melissa (10/5): Perfect for our onvernight purpose - Spotlessly clean, new carpet & curtains, spacious for 2, outdoor seating, comfy bed & quality linen. Excellent value.
- Vee (8/5): Spacious, very clean and great accommodation - The Manageress was very friendly, considerate and helpful.
We arrived late and this was no problem. We also returned to the room in the late morning to change which was also no problem.
We found the rooms extremely clean and well equipped.
Lovely shower in the morning!
The queen bed was comfortable and we slept well.
We also had a great automatic coffee machine which made good coffee and hot chocolate, with mlik in the fridge to heat in the microwave.
If I go to Pambula again, I will definitely stay here again.
- Marg (6/5): Motel in centre of town - Decor was dated, very 70s in style but very clean. Breakfast was self catering which was disappointing.
- Jennifer (8/5): Nice motel - Clean, neat and tidy motel close to Pambula centre and short drive to Merimbula.
Reasonable rates and comfortable room.
- Jo (10/5): The cleanest motel I’ve stayed in - This place is immaculately clean! We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed excellent facilities. The staff are very friendly and decor is quite retro but still charming. Great location to shops and a short drive to the beach. One small complaint was the beds, every time my other half rolled over in the night the whole bed shook, the bases were not very firm! Was great to have kitchenette facilities, hairdryer, on site laundry and indoor pool.
- rachelhE5580LZ (10/5): Good, clean accomodation - We stayed here on our way home from our holiday. We paid top dollar as it was a last minute booking, our problem though. The room was clean and the parking secure. The beds were not very comfortable with horrible head boards that we whacked our heads on. There are tea and coffee supplies along with plates and knives and forks. We were in room 9 which is right beside the driveway, yet it wasn’t noisey. We checked in late just before 7pm. After getting our bags unpacked we then read about their ‘pantry’ where you could purchase breakfast supplies etc. the flyer stated open from 8am- 7pm. We went to reception at 8am and again at 9am to get breakfast yet it was closed. So make sure you require when you check in.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice and comfortable, clean rooms and good position. Close to restaurant and beaches
- Verified traveler (8/5): good location, near to where I wished to visit. - No problems. nice room, near to destination. close to family and friends I was visiting.
- Sylvia (6/5): budget comfort - clean, comfortable and quiet budget accommodation. Staff friendly, walking distance to party I was attending. would stay there again .
- knudo2016 (10/5): Hard to beat - Just coming to the end of a 5 night "seniors" package. Very reasonable tarif with breakfast and a seafood platter one night. Realy good.
Units are very modern, clean and tidy apart from being the largest we have stayed in.
Highly recomended.
- geoffp452 (8/5): Nice stopover. - All units are, thankfully for us oldies, on ground level. Everything was fine and as expected of a well-run motel.
What may seem a trivial observation, unlike many top-class hotels, the toilet roll holder did not require acrobatics to reach it when your pants are round your ankles.
Although having no on-site dining, there is a barbecue and seating, breakfast is available to order for delivery to the room, and at least four restaurants are nearby. For self catering, the kitchenette was well equiped.
Despite being located on the Princes Highway, the room was quiet and we had a most comfortable stay. The free WiFi was fast and reliable.
Overall a very pleasant (and economical) experience.
- Brett62_10 (8/5): TOP SPOT - Close to town and easy walk to shops cafes etc.Ray and Julie were great hosts picking us up and dropping us off at the airport (3/4ks away) as part of their service.Breakfast was plentyfull and spot on time we requested.Electric blankets were great as it was very cold night.
- 554tanyaf (10/5): Exquisitely clean, cheap, cheerful, great location - We stayed in the Idlewilde Motel for a family event in winter. The staff/ managers were friendly and polite, and the room was one of the cleanest I had ever stayed in. We were a walk from the two local pubs, cafes, and small shopping centre. Not far from lovely beaches and lake and other townships in the Sapphire coast tourist area. Good parking out the back, and all we needed in the room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean and spacious rooms, friendly cleaning staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very comfortable, friendly staff, very quiet even though situated near main road.
- Robert (8/5): Clean, comfortable, value for money - Nice, clean and comfortable. Only real downside is the road noise could be an issue in busy periods due to its location. For the price however, can't complain. Would stay again if needed to.
- KP (8/5): Single night stayover - Only stayed for one night by myself and was exactly what I expected for the price. Convenient to shops and beach.
- Noel & Dianne (10/5): Nice quiet motel close to beach and attractions - Came home rested, relaxed and eager to return soon
- Pam (6/5): Last minute get away - Room was extremely clean. Quite large as it's an older style motel. Would recommend it if want space. Owner was not very friendly which is a pity as it has a lot of potential if bathrooms were updated. Well priced
- Damian (8/5): Nice hotel in a great location - We were really happy with our stay. Was great loaction and nicely kept property. We stayed for 4 nights and would happily stay again.
