• Bethany (10/5): Overall great air BnB, would recommend to anyone! - Was nice and quiet but still close to the Main Street in town. The room was nicely set out and clean. Great view in the backyard and we were able to see some animals including the alpacas, ducks, rabbit and the dog! The breakfasts in the morning were amazing, with everything very fresh and delicious!

• Kendra (10/5): 10/10 cosy country stay - Brian was an excellent host. He even brought us butter tarts for Canada day (I'm Canadian, and he is as well). The bed was extremely comfortable - I haven't had a sleep that good in a long time. Facilities were warm in winter and room was cosy. Breakfast was 10/10 ! The tv was a bit wonky, but we only really used it at night for a bit...so it wasn't a huge deal

• Emily (10/5): The perfect hidden gem for a relaxing getaway! - What a gorgeous little gem! Mum and I just loved the hospitality and location of this sweet property. Brian and Tim could not have been more helpful sharing their local knowledge of how to spend each day in Daylesford and starting it with a delicious breakfast! The room was a relaxing haven which has been very well appointed with care to the smallest detail for their guests. A wonderful spot, both location and surroundings.

We loved so much about this wonderful gem & highly recommend “ Old Chilli”. - The location, the gardens ,the bed was wonderful to sleep on & breakfast was such a special treat with attention to detail, wholesome food and an ambiance that allowed for a sense of deep relaxation. Within the tea/coffee area of the bedroom the knife had been used and was dirty from last guest. Fluffy dust on both sides of floor boards near top end of bed. ( I put black tights on & wondered why my feet had fluff all on them). That was why 😉.

• Julian (9/5): Fantastic spot for a nice getaway! - Amazing hosts going above and beyond to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, including preparing an outstanding breakfast and proving daily recommendations based on what's happening around the area. The room was nice and cozy with a comfy bed and large bathroom with roomy spa bathtub. Very little not to like! Very minor thing: the A/C could've been a bit stronger to warm up the room quicker as it was a very cold winter weekend when we were there.

• Visal (10/5): This property was a great base to explore Daylesford from over a weekend - The vibe of the accommodation immediately felt warm and comforting. The room was pre-heated to a perfect temperature upon arrival, which we appreciated as we arrived on a cold winter day. Plenty of wildlife to safely view from a distance at the back of the property - 2 alpacas, ducks, cockatoos - just make sure to bring wet wipes if walking around on the grass/don't wear shoes inside, the grass is somewhat dirty. The accommodation is well located, close to the centre of Daylesford. The bathroom is massive too. The breakfast trifle and stewed fruit was great. Room was a bit small, but if you're going to spend most of your time exploring the area, not a big issue.
• Michelle (9/5): Overall really enjoyed it, just found it unusual to pay so much attention to detail yet miss toiletr - The breakfast was great - who doesn’t love a good Bircher muesli and local breads. Location was close enough to everything. Loved the balcony to enjoy the winter sun with the newspaper or a good book. Brian was a great host with local insights and recommendations. Loved Old Chilli, however I do find the current trend of some places/accom to just have one jar/dispenser of bath wash/ shampoo rather than lovely local small batch products for soap, shampoo, body wash to be not a good or ‘I feel special’ trend! I wouldn’t want to wash my hair with something so generic - particularly when away for a special weekend. . Unfortunately this was the case with old chilli, which was disappointing particularly given the price of the accom and the location and numerous ‘local’ brands that could have been sampled and enjoyed as small aromatic trials and of a decent quality.

Brian was a friendly host who had great suggestions on where to visit to make the most out of our stay. One of the best B&B we had stayed for a short trip and would love to come back for more! Very minor - hair conditioner not supplied.

Breakfast is a spread of everything you need to start the day. We are early risers so an earlier time to partake would suit us better. But that’s just us!

• Tformr (9/5): Very comfy and welcoming - Booked for Chill Out and it was perfectly situated only ten minutes walk from the closest bus stop and 15 minute walk to town. For breakfast the guys served banana bread the first morning and it was the highlight of the stay. No more banana bread after the first morning. Could do with a microwave in the room.

The hosts were great on communication and were also very welcoming. The spa bath was a nice extra. The room was on the small side, but all we needed for a 2 night stay.
