• Neil (5/5): One of few places to stay overnight when travelling from the West Coast to Hobart - Pretty much as expected for a place in the middle of nowhere. Justa a small room but it was comfortable enough for one night, and the shower was nice and hot. Not really anything that stands out. This place is simply one of few alternatives to stay overnight when travelling from the West Coast to Hobart, so expectations weren't high anyway.

The cottage was well designed with thoughtful touches including a kitchenette with useful utensils, handy towel rings for the tea towel and hand towel - and the small teapot was much appreciated. The owner was very helpful when I had a problem with the tv and promptly came to our cottage to fix it and explain how to operate the tv and dvd. Was clean and had everything we required for our overnight stay. Rustic setting. Nice hot shower too. The bed was comfortable but we had stayed other places with better mattresses which were the same price.

Expensive. We had a chalet and. studio (2 couples).We inadvertently packed the pepper grinder (supermarket type) with our own supplies when departing. Owner contacted us to say we will be charged. We opted to post it back and were given several days to get it back! We sent details of the postage to them. Also we had mixed up two knives and forks we had taken to the chalet to eat with our friends. Owner said she should charge us extra for time in sorting that out! (Different size cutlery in the studio?) The most expensive accommodation for one night in four weeks in Tasmania.

• Nora (10/5): Perfect stay - We stayed in the Hugel cabin, which was the first cabin facing onto the main highway. Despite this, the cabin was quiet and peaceful. High quality cookware with induction cooktop was great! Very clean facilities with lots of linen, towels and tea towels provided. Nothing, would happily stay again.
• David (9/5): Great chalet staff need customer - Ida Chalet was lovely. Well equipped, clean, comfortable and warm. Frankly the welcome! We arrived 20 mins early thank check in in the pouring rain and was informed there was no possibility of an early check in! We sat in our car waiting for the person to check us in to arrive. The individual turned out to be brusque and frankly acted as if we were putting her out not giving her business. I am not the first to experience this having read the reviews. Sorry but need to do better as we have had a positive experience of the chalet but the experience was let down by the experience at check in.

Good supply of kitchenware and handy to have a kitchen sink. Clean and tidy. We didn’t like the threatening message on the wall beside the optional cereal supply. Stating that if any cereal is missing we’d be charged for a full breakfast. Considering it was the most expensive accomodation we’ve stayed in Tasmania we felt cereal could have been supplied free of charge.

• Le Provost (9/5): A great cabin to come home to after walking! - Very comfortable with all amenities- particularly appreciated the hot tub after walking. The heating was excellent and every detail had been thought out. Would have liked to light the log fire but it really wasn’t cold enough.

The place was easy to find as its on the main road. A 3 minute walk to the local cafe; The Fat Wombat which serves a great coffee and bacon and egg roll. It is only a 3 minute drive to the local hotel which serves scrumptious food. We found the bed/mattress was too hard.

• Teresa (9/5): I would come back again. - Super quiet area, close to the river. Lots of trees, and birds around. We booked the cortage with the bathtub, which was great. Very comfy bed. The cottage is fully equipped with a kitchen, small living area, washing machine, dryer,… great. It’s a bit outdated but nevertheless I think it meets the expectations and I had a great stay.

• Ilaria (6/5): OK - The property is pretty, and in that area, best value for money The property is not insulated and it is super cold at night, unless you have the heater on, which makes the room stuffy. Not the property’s fault, but it is in a non-place with one ‘restaurant’ (if you like to step into a deep frier this is the place for you), nowhere open for a morning coffee (you can opt for breakfast included and eat from the jars of cereals in the chalet, but it is a lot of money for some Kellog’s and there is a rather aggressive note about not eating if you haven’t booked breakfast). This would be understandable if the location did not advertise itself as a gateway to wilderness for tourists. It’s not. Derwent Bridge is a basic stop on the road in the vicinity of Lake Saint Clair. If you know this and are organised with your own things, the property is a very good option.

Proposer différences céréales dans des pots mais payants ( cela peut etre pratique pour les voyageurs ayant oublié leurs petits déjeuners ). Cependant, il n' y avait pas ni café ni thé de courtoisie.

• Rona (6/5): Very clean cabins - Lots of spiders on the outside made me concerned as I approached the cabin but when you walk into these cabins I was surprised to see these were exceptionally clean cabins, all surfaces and I mean all surfaces were clean. The linens were clean and good quality, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was so clean and well appointed. I was always taught that if you cant say something nice then don't say anything at all, but this is my exception. I reiterate, these rooms were exceptionally clean but the woman who manages this complex was very rude to me and should get some lessons in customer service. Also, having jars of breakfast cereal on the shelf that was not included right beside the included tea and coffee was a bit strange.

Given milo in addition to tea & coffee. Supplied with tissues, face washers and quality cleaning products. Well appointed. Large basin in large bathroom cabinet. Glad to have decent hanging space in both bathroom and kitchenette. Fairly comfortable bed. TV was a little small for the size of the room especially if wanting to watch TV from bed. No wardrobe; just four hooks on the wall. Took a long time to get hot water.

• Dianne (8/5): Cozy Cabin Stay in Wilderness - Self contained cabin just off the highway. Very quiet. Close to Lake St Clair and Derwent Bridge Hotel for fireside drinks and dinner Warm and cozy with the basics. We bought our lunch and breakfast supplies as it is remote. .
• Maggie (10/5): A very relaxing & comfortable stay, with a great deal of thought given to equipping the unit -
• Blossom (8/5): Perfect location - Location close to lake St Clair and the Wall in the Wilderness, fireplace ready to light, cosy, clean, laundry facilities included free. Reception staff must have had a bad day. Not friendly at all.
