It had been an exceptionally hot December day in the area, and we really appreciated that the room had air conditioning. Bathroom and kitchenette had everything we needed. Staff at check in was very friendly. Would book again without hesitation. Parking was near reception, not close to the room. That is nothing that would keep us away in the future, and it was not a problem to roll our luggage over to the room. Just something to keep in mind if you have health issues that would make that difficult for you.

You would never swim in the pool, the rooms stink, everyone can see straight in the windows and there is black mould on the bathroom ceiling. Definitely don’t book this property - look elsewhere. In addition the service is non-existent and unfriendly. Will never book again. There is nothing good about this property. I can’t recommend. Booked for three nights but could only cope with one night and then moved to other accomodation.

• Patricia (9/5): We loved it and would happily come back again. - The stay went really well with no complications or issues. The manager was excellent and went far beyond the call of duty. She was friendly and helpful at all times. The location is very good, being handy to the township and easy to find. The room was kept clean at all times. Location of the washing line was a bit tricky.

Kids had there own bedroom so did the us the parents. We were entertained by the neighboring cat, Ash. It was nice being able to swim in the pool even when it was raining!

The service was outstanding—the front desk lady was exceptionally welcoming and went above and beyond, proactively providing helpful travel instructions not just for Cambridge, but for our overall trip through New Zealand. Our room was spacious and featured a convenient kitchen. We also appreciated the clean pool, quiet surroundings, and the good location (just a 2–3 minute drive from downtown and all amenities). Easy parking, check-in, and check-out made the entire process seamless.

• Mayank (9/5): Great motel, even greater rooms! So much for such a good price! - My friends and I had such a good time here! For four adults, the room was massive! We were in love with the high ceilings! The rooms were breezy and had lots of natural light. Felt like we were staying in Spain thanks to the colour of the room, the pillars outside. Definitely not what you'd expect. Surprisingly, the weather was extremely hot and unexpected, so we were so happy there was a pool! The space, in general, is much smaller and more compact than it's made to seem in the photos (probably taken at 0.5x), but it wasn't a deal-breaker. The price for the room was affordable, though I think it felt that way because we split it amongst ourselves. Not too shabby. The owners are kind and efficient, too. Can't wait to come back again! Totally worth it. No issues! Because we were there for only a night, we weren't able to judge the room service or any further hospitality. But in saying so, the rooms had everything we needed, so we didn't have to ASK for any further help. It seemed as though they'd be helpful if you needed it, I'm sure!
