However it is undergoing renovation so hopefully it will be rejuvenated. There is a reasonable amount of traffic noise, even up the back. Worst was the bed. Soft with a lot of bounce which interfered with sleep

- Ray34 (8/5): Very value for an inexpensive, quiet transit stop. - We stayed in the Ashwood motel twice within 4 weeks. Both as an overnight stop on our way north and again on our return. Even though this motel is on the main road into Gosford and beyond it was surprisingly quiet, the road noise was not noticeable. The motel was clean, comfortable, fairly basic but very good value and a good location for transit. Meals in the nearby RSL (250 Metres) are varied and good. The room lighting could be upgraded to LED globes to provide more light in the room.

Lighting in the bathroom was poor and the double bed was actually broken. Only one person could sleep in it as it sunk up to 20cm on one side. Fortunately the room had a single as well

No sink in room. Had to fill kettle from the bathroom. Room clean but old, lots of scuff marks and paint chips. Needs repainting but not brown!

- Fiona (5/5): Clean but too noisy for us. - Floor and bedding were clean. Location was central for what we needed. Staff were friendly. The walls were thin - we could hear lots of road noise and the people around us - they were not overly noisy but we could hear their conversations and if they sneezed, we heard it! People walking past the room at 2am jingling keys - we heard it all! There was an unpleasant odour in the bathroom.

The pool area looked pretty good !! - Location to the RSL for meals On arrival the front door was filthy .. you really didn't want to touch it .. a bit of spray n wipe would be good to improve initial feeling of the place .. I wasn't too fussed on the dead cockroaches in the bathroom n main lounge / bed area !! The colour of the once upon a time white towels are now grey n frayed.

The last straw was when my phone started to give a moisture alarm for the USB port. At that point I asked for a second room - the staff were courteous and polite and gave me a dry one.

- Fabrizio (5/5): Cheap, no frill, stinky - Stayed here on a business trip, convenient location, friendly staff. The room stunk, very mouldy shower, Coles sells “Exit Mould” I don’t think that would break the bank….
