Very friendly hosts Was a bit dark inside
- Stephen (10/5): We wil definitely stay again if we go back to Hanmer Springs. - The location was excellent with just a short walk to the hot pools, shops and restaurants etc. the room was large, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Marie was an excellent host and made us feel very welcome.

- Wilj (10/5): We loved our short stay and wished we could stay longer. - The location was perfect. Central within Hanmer. The property itself is running, with beautiful gardens, a private seating area for the external rooms situated toward the rear of the gardens. Absolutely nothing.
- Alice (8/5): - We had a lovely little cabin type accomodations in the garden and it was so clean and had every we needed Nothing just sorry we couldn't stay longer
Rien

- Nadine (9/5): Peaceful, stylish and dog friendly haven in central Hanmer - Marie and Len are wonderfully warm and helpful hosts. Beautiful grounds and gardens - a peaceful haven in the middle of Hanmer only 5 minutes walk from shops, cafes and hot pools. Our Garden facing room was stylish cosy, spacious and very comfortable - perfect for our short mid winter stay. Great to have such lovely accomodation that welcomes our small dog too. We look forward to returning soon.

So we feel ripped off False advertising
- Suzanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathryn (8/5): - Lovely place beautiful gardens quite short walk to everything you need
Only 1 thing they did advertise as a BnB but no breakfast 😕
As they are supporting locals thats awesome but remove Breakfast
- Dougal (9/5): Mother & Daughter holiday - Beautiful setting and gardens
- Nadine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stuart (8/5): - Advertising on the websight should more accurately reflect the current available option for accommodation. The current web sight is misleading.
- Jenni (10/5): Awesome - Beautiful room and nice surroundings. Owner was wonderful
- Stephen (9/5): A very special stay... definitely on the do again list - Stayed in one of the garden cottages. very warm, quiet and comfortable. Short walk to eateries and the pools. Our lovely hostess provided towels to take to the pools. Outdoor area lovely for morning coffee. Off street parking easy to access and right next to the cottage. Nothing.
- Christine (9/5): As a kiwi love this area, lots to do for a coupleof days - Wonderful situation, beautifully presented, our fault didn’t realize no knives forks etc so couldn’t really eat in. I think discouraged.
We travelled around south island for nearly 3 weeks this was our dearest accommodation, and believe it’s because of the location.
Kaikora, Cromwell, Christchurch were just as well presented but much cheaper. Having said this right in town near restaurant ‘s and pool .
- Lori (9/5): Superb -
- Carole (9/5): Superb -
- Robin (8/5): Garden Unit in Hanmer Springs - Lovely garden studio to stay in. Nice garden setting. Staff very kind and helpful. Would stay again if returning.
- Joseph (10/5): The owners are friendly but not invasive, experienced and pay attention to details. Great place. - The location was perfect -- a very short walk (a block) to restaurants and shops in this lovely small town with many things to do: mountain biking, hikes, spa, thermal baths (with great water rides), and more. Our guest cabin was behind the owner's home, but with privacy, fresh air, parking and helpful advice if needed.
- Paul (5/5): It is NOT a bed and breakfast. Room only. - It is a pleasant vintage house, pity we were in a chalet in the garden. It wasn't far to walk to the spa pools. The advertising. It is clearly advertised as a bed and breakfast, but does not provide breakfast. The Booking.com description mentions bed and breakfast four times. Even the board outside announces 'breakfast served in suites'. On arrival, we were told to go and buy it from a local restaurant. Had we known that breakfast was not provided, we would have gone elsewhere - especially at the price we paid. It was expensive for what it provided and seems to be living on its previous reputation.
- Donna (10/5): Perfect lodging and location - This is the perfect stay for your Hamner Springs getaway. Large, comfortable, clean room on a beautiful piece of property. Walking distance to everything. The owners are so kind and friendly. We were so happy with our choice to stay here and would definitely stay here again if we returned. Do not hesitate, this place is simply perfect.

- Larry (10/5): - Charming small hotel and hosts.
- Susan (10/5): We loved our stay at Cheltenham House and would have loved to have stayed another night ! - Loved the location, loved our room, loved the grounds and especially loved our host Marie. Everything perfect
- Laura (8/5): Very good - WiFi poor
- Sam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pauline (10/5): Thoroughly relaxing and everything provided for - The privacy and facilities provided Personal choice but the bed was too soft
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): Absolutely lovely place with lovely host - Host was brilliant with telling us everything and things to do during our one night stay. Very friendly and just such a nice person.
- Raymond (9/5): Beautiful, secluded, comfortable clean and would highly recommend - Hosts were able to allow us to book in when we needed as had spa booked even though they would not be there until later. Underfloor heating, dressing gowns we were able to use. Very close to the shops and experiences we had booked. Nothing to report
- Cindy (10/5): A comfortable place to be. - A very warm welcome. Ideally situated. Marie was very knowledgable and gave us good tips on local attractions and places to eat. She was on hand if needed but allowed us privacy . Nothing negative to say. We would certainly stay there again.
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely, cozy cottage & beautiful gardens. Enjoyed our short stay with our foxy, Buddy. Will definitely return for a longer stay!

Wonderful that it is dog friendly
- Hatcher (10/5): Fabulous - Great location. Fabulous shower, comfortable bed. The grounds are gorgeous and secure for my dog, she loved it too. We were warmly welcomed and the whole experience was exceptional given that it’s so very hard in New Zealand to find somewhere beautiful to stay with a dog. Will definitely return. Highly recommended. A small space to make breakfast - with a toaster perhaps? I prefer a larger cup for my morning drink.

- Patti (10/5): Excellent - Great location with access to walk at one end of short street and springs and cafe/restaurants at other end. Lovely cottage in back garden. Good sized room with all amenities. Friendly helpful hosts. Highly recommend.
- Prue (10/5): - We had a comfortable, warm and a very pleasant three nights in the studio, with the owners being very helpful. We had to leave early for the ferry and unfortunately didn't have a chance to say thanks to them or fatewell. A very central place to stay in a lovely garden.
- Shelly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (9/5): Old Style charm and hospitality. - The location was only a short walk from the pools and all the restaurants and shops. Underfloor heating was a real bonus.
The garden cottage we had was very roomy and comfortable with nice afternoon sun on the patio.
