Guest Reviews
- Denise (8/5): - Lovely cute little motel. Manager was great. The cost was really good. Will stay there again.
- Carolyn (2/5): - Very dated. No room cleaning during stay. Small. Bed was very uncomfortable. Will not be returning.
- Kyle (8/5): - Good service and communication.
- Del (4/5): - Lovely staff but place is run down, soft beds and bad heating
- mark (10/5): - Lovely simple comfy room with comfy bed, essential mod cons, nice atmosphere, pretty quiet and nice hosts!
- Wendy (4/5): - We had twin beds . Hubby sat on the edge of the bed to tie his shoelaces and the whole bed tipped up and dumped him between the bed and the bedside cabinet . The shower rose just gave one stream of water - like it was coming out of a single hose . On a brighter note it was quiet and close to the town
- Carol (2/5): - The entire motel is disgusting. Building in dreadful need of repair, gardens overgrown, room was well below standard, dripping toilet, air con not working, furniture badly knocked around. In fact as a single older woman I didn’t even stay there as I didn’t feel safe and the room was way below standard. I will be applying for a refund.
- Lawrence (6/5): - Ok place
- Doug (2/5): - Carpet was dirty and toilet area floor was wet stil.
- Tina (10/5): - The staff were lovely, friendly there 2 pet dogs were cute and friendly it’s very quiet
- Francesco (8/5): - Nice & quiet motel
Enjoyed my stay
- Rose (8/5): - The accessible bathroom was an excellent thing as we were roadtripping with our 90 year old mother who has a few mobility issues. The exterior looked a little tired but hid a real gem with excellent hosts who were very helpful and made us feel at home.
- Craig (10/5): - Friendly service, comfortable beds.
- Mary (10/5): - I am going to be honest, I didn’t know anything about Clunes before I stayed there. It was an overnight stop because I couldn’t get accommodation in Ballarat. Clunes is a lovely little village in a valley. Lots of history, which I would love to come back and explore. Easy drive to Ballarat. The Clunes Motel is an older-style motor-inn, so if you are after Hyatt-like facilities it is not your place. What I like about older-fashioned accommodation options is the generous facilities, including microwave, kettle and toaster in the room, a decent sized refrigerator, enough crockery, cutlery and glassware so you didn’t have to bother reception. It is winter. The room had heating on when we arrived and there were extra blankets and pillows as well as electric blankets on the beds. This stay may have been unintentional, but I will definitely be back and I will book in at this motel and check out the Bottle Museum while I am there. Friendly service too!
- Giro (4/5): - The room we booked a month & half ago was given to others, not informed of this till arrival, as we always had this room, staff should be aware of events being held in town & let people know that no food available in town at all Monday or Tues evenings" upsetting & disappointing"
- Paul (8/5): - Clise to a very unique historical town. Friendly staff and down to earth manner. The motel is old but comfortable as are the beds. Bathroom clean and good sized tv and wifi. If you are expecting the Tagmahal then go to India, but if you want old fashion country service this is it. We checked in late and the owners rang the local oub to keep the kitchen open. Now thats service.
- Owen (4/5): - The mattresses were like foam or jelly. Four tea bags for two nights. For money reasonable
- Eric (10/5): - Place was great. Host was really nice.
- Steve (10/5): - Staff friendly and prepared to go out of way to help
Would stay again
- Gil (2/5): - It was the only available
- Jon (10/5): - Super friendly Hosts, Comfy Beds, great location, awesone stay
- Wendy (6/5): - It's reasonably central to the town . Beds were clean and comfortable . Very nice shower .
- Grant (10/5): - Nice clean room. Nice hosts.
- suda (10/5): - Risky super clean
- Prithvi (2/5): - I highly not recommend this place until unless ur helpless. The bed is full of hair and the whole room smells terribly horrible and the furniture is full of dirt. The room 9 has no proper lock and at last the shower pressure is as low that we needs to take a one hr of shower.
- Geoffrey (6/5): - Older style motel, small, clean, but tired
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The motel room was very clean and has everything that is needed. Obviously it is a little old and tired but the management is doing everything they can with the facility they have.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean and beautiful room with nice smelling towels. The room was small but filled with character and recently refurbished. The shower pressure was fantastic! The owners are lovely and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
- rowena (8/5): - The room was clean, beds were good, showers were hot!
- Debra (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful, clean rooms and great hot water and shower, very comfortable bed, we had a great time.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff are very pleasant and nothing was a bother to them .I would love to stay there again it is in a lovely location and the views of Mount Beck worth were wonderful ,we will be staying there again in one weeks time again . I can highly recommend it to all our friends
- Peter (10/5): Great stay in Clunes -
initial impression quaint. Found the room to be clean and tidy, the bed was as comfortable as home
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The property was nothing like the pictures. The bathroom door and shower door both got stuck and room smelt. Not pleasant to stay at at all
- Nick (8/5): Senior Citizens trip - We had one of the superior rooms and the heater worked well the shower was great
- Peter (10/5): A very comfortable stay. - Friendly check in lady. A motel set in a nice garden setting. Not the flashest, but has everything you need. The queen bed room we had has a very comfortable bed. Big TV, fridge, microwave and usual tea / coffee facilities. A few cobwebs here and there but clean. Big bathroom with large shower. Good value at the price point.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - We didn’t meet the owners! From the front the motel looked very run down vacant!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The tiny shower stall was quite unique. Like showering in a coffin.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Comfortable and adequate for our overnighter in Clunes.
AND nice and warm for the brisk winters night that it was.
Owner was cheerful and told us of dinner options in town.
- Tim (8/5): - What pleased me about this motel was the friendliness of the owner and the cleanliness of the room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Enjoyed the room was very spacious and clean and the maneger was amazing and polite
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice & clean. In a very quiet location. Good room and all basic amenities.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Quiet location and proximity to Clunes were good..
- David (8/5): Ok. Not standout - Adequate hotel that was clean and had a comfortable bed. Nothing bad just middle of the road
- John (8/5): - Very convenient and very adequate, comfortable and owner easy to contact, pleasant and friendly
- David (6/5): Ok - Check in was easy, place was clean but aircon didnt work and rooms are not very sound proof!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice, quiet hotel, very friendly staff, convenient location, comfy and cosy
- Geoffrey (8/5): Basic but cheap - Motel is very basic, but our room was clean and comfortable and good value for the price we paid.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very expensive compared to other places we stayed that were much more modern and roomy.
- Cheryl (6/5): - This property is in need of an upgrade. That said the beds had clean sheets and were reasonably comfortable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A little bit far from the highway and needs a refresh but
