Guest Reviews
- Paul (9/5): A very pleasant stay and would stay there again - The room was spotless and recently decorated so very pleased with it. The Staff were more than helpful and managed to get us an early check-in as we were going to a Funeral We paid a bit extra to get a toaster but there wasn't one in the room. We should have gone to Reception to ask for one but we ran out of time
- Ian (10/5): Incredible - Perfect
- Gina (9/5): Big meals , music , good accommodation - I love the location. It’s a perfect spot if you go on the ferry tour and have a few drinks stay the night here and have the biggest chicken snitty . Awesome feed at the pub .

- Mia (10/5): Cute, comfy and kid friendly - Loved this place! Kids had a ball, very comfortable and right in town. Rooms were very cute, beachy but not tachy. Very comfortable beds. We also ate at the hotel and the food was amazing, fresh seafood ! Nothing
- Vicki (10/5): -
- caroline (10/5): - Good food , great music on Friday nite , comfortable accommodation
- jake (7/5): - Location and hotel was nice. Food and drinks overpriced. Multiple tables were sticky and not wiped down. Bunk beds were average
- Ackland (3/5): -
- Anne-Marie (5/5): Disappointing given the number of positive reviews on booking.com - Very close to the water. Convenience of a pub if you want to eat/drink (we didn't). Very basic room, external roadside window was really dirty, broken handle on cupboard, broken bedside light, very basic bed frame. Doona too small for the bed size. No coffee, only some tea bags. Arrived after hours and check-in person from the bar provided poor customer service.
- Joanne (8/5): Comfortable. It met our needs for our trip. - Location. Great food at the pub Nothing
- Fiona (8/5): Location and right in the middle of a lovely town - Location Floors require vacuuming and mopping
- Renee (8/5): - Clean and laid back country coastal vibe! Nil
- Rae (9/5): - We really enjoyed the whole vibe of the motel and location.
Very chilled and relaxed.
The playground was amazing and how there are so many seating areas to sit at.
The room was great. It was private with nice gardens around it.
We all slept well and were comfortable Enjoyed it all and will be back
- Simon M (7/5): - What's not to like? It's @ the pub! Mozzies were getting in somewhere.
- Gail (7/5): - Couldn't get a better location The room was comfortable for the price , bigger quilts for the beds would be great as it only just fit and was not comfortable for two people. Maybe curtains over the window and blind would be better as the light outside the room was extremely bright until it automatically turned off at some stage during the night .
- Jennifer (8/5): - Great spot and easy location. Room was clean and tidy Beds on the bunk beds were very uncomfortable

- Peter (8/5): Ok - Close to facilities Had no milk for coffee which I asked for and still didn’t get, had to buy my own and was a bit noisey but that can’t be helped as it is at a pub cheers

- Dianne (8/5): -
- Jeff (7/5): -
- Judith (7/5): - The hotel was as we expected, basic but clean and tidy. The grounds of the hotel were not as good, need tidying up and definately a refresh

- Elizabeth (9/5): - I was there for a wedding and had a lovely stay.. Rooms were clean, fresh, modern and quite comfortable. For pub rooms I was impressed. The cleaning staff were very polite and nothing was a bother. The restaurant staff were really great. I have allergies so they were very understanding and careful preparing my meal and the food was beautiful. The bar staff were quite friendly and the security guy was on point 😉
- Judy (8/5): -
- Lorraine (10/5): Over all pretty good especially in short notice - Booked for family of 4, bunk beds weren’t ridiculously tall which worked for younger kids. The room also provided some children’s books which is amazing! Having the play ground was tops as it helped burn energy and was really easy to locate. Food was pretty ordinary and staff can’t work out change in cash as both food and drinks were handed wrong change.
- Amanda (8/5): Enjoyable - Clean and Comfortable Nothing comes to mind
- MARAL (9/5): Really welcoming homely place to stay - Fabulous hotel, perfect location, clean facilities 😀 great staff and atmosphere!! Will be back again great little stay
- Helen (8/5): Enjoyed my short stay so much have booked again to take family - I was pleasantly surprised, room was quiet, clean & tucked away at back of hotel so no noise from patrons. Bed comfy, overhead fan so no need to keep air con on.
Easy access, parking available, close to shops, exceptional food. No complaints
- Marea (8/5): Great location and renovated lovely. - Great location especially if you have a function at the hotel. The pillows were not comfortable.
- Tom (10/5): -
- Scott (8/5): Comfy fun stay. Good value for money - Nice comfy room great location 1 chair not great
- Geoff (9/5): - Beds are very low Old beer
- Kirsty (5/5): Cute stay. Needs to be fumigated or better protected from pests - Really cute Reno on the rooms. Although they’re old they’ve been made to look really lovely. Bed was comfy, shower good pressure, and nice amenities. I was shocked when I woke to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and turned on the light to find about ten German cockroaches of various sizes scurrying across the floor and over the kettle and mugs.
- Maeve (8/5): - Very nicely renovated rooms. Child friendly. Pet friendly. Great pub. Pretty little town. Good restaurants and cafe/bakery nearby.
- Stephanie (9/5): - We liked that the rooms were tucked into the back, away from the pub. Rooms were clean and spacious for a family of 5 and a dog. Dog friendly is great. Food was good and place was very family friendly!
- Stuart (7/5): - The hot/cold shower was not acceptable

- PAUL (7/5): -
- Claire (10/5): -
- Gina (8/5): Great staff who were friendly and keen to be of assistance. - Great location as somewhere to stay with a popular venue for drinks and meals with friends. The noise of the traffic in the morning. But that isn’t about the property.
- Britt (7/5): -
- Dijana (6/5): -
- Trevor (8/5): Quality, good value accommodation in a great location - The rooms are recently refurbished and everything is new, clean and contemporary Check in is a little unclear, with not much signage - had to ask at the bar
- Vicki (9/5): - Great location, good food and atmosphere.
- Tahlia (10/5): -
- Madeleine (9/5): - Accommodated my request to be far from the bar to minimise noise at night
- Lynette (3/5): -
- Catherine (6/5): -
- Amanda (10/5): -
- Joao (10/5): Good value - Location Na
- Karen (10/5): -
- Hylan (6/5): convenient but NOT restful! - location cant be beat and after driving for 12+ hours it was great to be able to check in, shower and have dinner at the one location. the motel is central, on the river, perfect to walk your dog and the food was delicious. other families left their dogs unattended for hours - HOURS! - guests with pets were next to each other so the dogs barked uncontrollably setting each other off!! the dog owners in the room right next to us left their dog until midnight - it was barking and scratching at the door relentlessly - and that set our dog off.... and all the others! we didn't sleep until midnight. This is not necessarily the motels fault, however, they could insist that pet owners do not leave their dogs unattended!! and check that this is being adhered to?
- Jenny (9/5): Great! Would come back again - Good location
Pet friendly
Nice room Can’t remember what room we were in, but shower leaked/flooded
Sorry forgot to report at time
- Kerry (9/5): -
- David (9/5): Good one night stay - Great location by the river Bit noisy at night
- Jayne (8/5): -
- Bridget (6/5): - Very helpful friendly staff. The rooms have been renovated and feel nice and airy. We ate at the bistro- excellent food. The exterior lights outside the rooms are very bright and don't turn off until 12.40am. Maybe this could be changed or block out curtains or blinds installed.
- Laura (9/5): -
- Jessica (8/5): Good stop over stay point . Lively pub atmosphere. Great food - Great stop over point . Good food . Lively locals The toilets in the actual pub were bad , overflowing rubbish bins and female sanitary bins as well
Informed staff at lunch , then went back before dinner and in same state ~ big influx of people but still not good enough. All the soap dispensers were empty and the bottles they had on vanity were just full of water , not actual soap . Rooms were good
- CHRISTINE (9/5): lovely spot. all good on a long journey - All good, David checked us in and was very helpful and kind, if there had been some entertainment but my fault I didnt check before booking !
- JUSTIN (10/5): Very comfortable and clean. - One of the nicest motels I have stayed in. Pub kitchen closes at 8. No note in room to advise this.
- Li (10/5): -
- Damian (9/5): -
- Gerald (3/5): Noisy -
- Judit Cs (9/5): -
- Adrian (4/5): Overpriced and average. Won’t go back - The cleaners who had very little English were the best part. Admin staff weren’t welcoming at all. Rooms are terribly noisy A simple welcome, explain where the rooms/facilities are.
- Andrea (9/5): -
- Meng Phang (7/5): Good and bad - Location close to river and some eateries On one side of the room was the playground with screaming children throughout the day (it stopped when it got dark) and on the other side was the town's main road and it can get a little noisy at times (although quiet overnight, traffic again early morning).
- Clive (1/5): -
- Emily (8/5): -
- Madeleine (10/5): - Fantastic location, super clean rooms!
- Catherine (8/5): - Location and price is excellent. We were surprised at how we still had privacy despite being right in the pub garden The rooms have paper thin walls, we expected a little noise from the pub (it was less than we expected) but between the rooms was very loud. We did have an adjoining locked door which may have made this worse but we could hear everything and I mean everything!
- Vicki (8/5): My stay was excellent. Near everything I required. - It covered my needs for the night. TV wasn't working and no microwave.
- Yingli (7/5): -
- Jessica (8/5): - Great location, great value for money. The live music was great but also very loud when trying to sleep
- lisa (9/5): - Food Nothing
- Archana (8/5): Comfortable stay - Conveniently located close to a great coffee shop and bakery. The room had a lot of space. I checked in quite late but at no trouble, there was a friendly staff to help despite a busy new years evening. Found some cobwebs in my child’s bunk bed. Also there’s limited parking on the hotel premises but lots of street parking which is quite safe.
- Gionela (9/5): - Location N/A
- Paraskevi (8/5): - Convenient location Parking limited. No toaster or microwave in room
- Simon (10/5): Great hotel and pub -
