Window screens on all units covered in dust and spider webs and all doors need a sanding and new stain.Appearance mean a lot and a t small cost improvement in occupancy could be expected.

The chains had been removed from the usual chain lock leaving only a simple twist style lock. For a place that feels very exposed as it's on the old highway without a fence it felt unusual. The suggestion was to put a chair up against the door if worried.

- John (4/5): This motel is from the 1970s, it is very tired, and not value for money. I won’t be back! - I supplied my own breakfast, but there wasn’t a bowl or spoon in the room. The owner kindly went and got these for me. The shower was hot and had good water pressure. The mattress had a depression in the area where hips rested, presumably because lots of customers had been sleeping on it for lots of years - it clearly needs replacing. When I asked for the WiFi access code I was told there was no guest WiFi, despite this being listed on the Golden Chain webpage (this motel is part of that chain). Seriously? I travel widely and the vast majority of motels in this day and age provide WiFi! The electric kettle was rusty inside and it was too big to fit under the hand basin to fill without having to use a teacup to transfer water from tap to kettle.
