Guest Reviews
- Alison (8/5): - The property is very dated but has everything required for a comfortable overnight stay. I understood it's closing at the end of season (12.4.25) and being rebuilt. The location is amazing so I expect the new development to be amazinng.
- Lai (8/5): - Sunset views over lake from room. Room is small but has all amenities. Great value for money.
- Lucas (8/5): - ight
- peter (6/5): - Loved the view of the lake
- Barry (10/5): Great stop over - Great stop over with helpful hosts, comfortable bed and wonderful view. Would definitely stay again
- Graham (2/5): - The accommodation was awful, the bed was very old and the worst bed my wife and have ever slept in. We both woke up with back ache.
There are no amenities at the motel and they couldn’t offer us a glass of water. We were told to drink the tap water in our room !! Never again 👎👎
- Valerie (10/5): - Very nice room
- Chris (8/5): - Lakeside room looked out on the Meningie lake. A pleasant walk down the road to the town. Good pub meal in town.
- Mark (10/5): - Super friendly and helpful staff, lovely soft sheets and pillow cases. Great views from the room with native wildlife everywhere. Owner was really helpful with letting us take DVD's to watch. Would definitely stay with them again
- Stephen (6/5): Lovely view - Lovely view over the lake, comfy beds.

- Josh (10/5): - The lakefront room we had was awesome!
- Roselyn (8/5): - Great overnight stay, very convenient, just down the road from town centre. Motel is right next to the lake. Very clean, great kitchenette with microwave, crockery and cutlery. However, can only do your washing up in the wall hung basin in the bathroom which space is quite awkward.
Lovely host, would highly recommend.
- Steve (10/5): - Very reasonably priced and extremely clean
Parking right outside your room too.
- Simon (8/5): - A fairly basic motel but with friendly and helpful staff and absolutely stunning sunset views over the lake which is just outside the window.
- Tracey (8/5): - The view was fabulous!
- richard (4/5): - Property very dated, veiw from bedroom excellent.
Thought it was foggy at first but at second glance the windows were dirty.
Not a very good impression.

- Sharon (10/5): - A lovely warm welcome, comfy bed with crisp clean sheets for the night. Loved listening to the waves at night. Was perfect for a one night stop over!
Just be aware the restaurant is not operating any more, I had called earlier to check so came prepared for dinner.
- Michele (10/5): - For the price a perfect place to sleep
- Elizabeth (8/5): - The view from your room is stunning particularly on sunset. The room might be small but it is comfortable. There is no toaster or microwave in the room but there is in a shared kitchen
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cozy ropm woth a lake view - Very comfortable and cozy room. Beautiful view roght on the lake.
- Patricia (6/5): - Received txt msg saying room was available early, we were met by the owners brother. Had booked a room with lake view and thats exactly what we got. The room was as described, small but adequate, bathroom needs updating. The aircon unit extremely noisy so ended up turning it off. We went to see pelicans and they turned up for me.
- sally (8/5): - Easy to book, comfortable, clean, pretty setting and lovely sunsets
- Christine (10/5): - Love staying here in Meningie. The hotel is right on the lake with terrific views through the large windows. Great variety of water birds can be seen easily. The room was light, airy and spacious. The beds were well made up and comfortable. Service was excellent. Will definitely be returning for another stay.
- JANE (10/5): - Lovely spot, lake views from the rooms. Right next to the water, we could hear the waves all night. Freshly cooked breakfast. Very enjoyable

- Krystyn (6/5): - Nothing
- Leonarx (10/5): - Y
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The position right on the lake was nice. One night with four of us in a room probably enough though good to break the car journey.
- Colin pilcher (2/5): We don’t recommend this motel. - The room was so small that you couldn’t swing a cat in it. There was no where to put anything, no hairdryer or wardrobe. We were asked if we wanted to upgrade to a water view but the rooms were just as tiny as the standard room. It was more expensive than the one we stayed in in Victor Harbour and it was more than twice the size. We were really disgusted with the motel in Meningie.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It’s a beautiful location right on the water. You can watch pelicans land in the water from your room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice quiet place to stay right on the lake, rooms are slightly out dated but clean and tidy. Staff are super friendly and welcoming.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Gr8 experience - very friendly & caring hosts.
Lakeside experience was unique- awesome to wake up to pelican & seagull calls.
- Norman (6/5): Meningie Stay - Very small room but with a nice comfortable bed . Very nice outlook from the room across the lake with pelicans on the jetty out front. Friendly host.
- Linda (10/5): Simply stunning - Absolutely amazing hospitality!
Would highly recommend this accommodation!
