• Lucy (9/5): Lovely old building with clean rooms in a perfect location! - Location was perfect for us. We loved the old charm of the pub and the staff were all so helpful and friendly. The notice from the live music was a lot! They could have heavier noise-reducing doors on the rooms. There was also a sign talking about energy saving and turning all things off but there were a lot of lights on all night in the public areas which could be replaced with sensor ones like in the ladies toilets.

Our room was a small triangle with windows to the hallway rather than to outside. It was still clean and comfortable. The step up into the bathroom area of the room was a safety concern. I thought it could have been an issue during the night when getting up sleepy (and over the limit) but luckily neither of us fell.

• Johnson (7/5): Pier Hotel Stay 3/3/26 - Clean, comfortable rooms and amenities. Friendly staff and great service. The meal wasn't the best. Liked the chips and salad, but the fish was overcooked and dry, and to be honest, didn't taste that fresh. It tasted like it had been frozen, then thawed out and cooked. Sorry, but I'm being honest here.

Shared bathroom was no problem at all. Comfy bed although we did book a Queen room but bed was definitely a double. Wouldn’t recommend staying with the heat of summer with no aircon. 🥵 Given double bed but booked a queen.

• Debbie (8/5): I stay regularly overnight to break the journey, so it's familiar to me, easy and good value. - Clean, comfortable, convenient, good to have dining downstairs and the location is also in an area that has restaurant / cafe options, old character building that has had a glow-up which has been well done. Rooms basic & shared bathroom and Ok for an overnight stay and appreciate being able to park off-street and able to make a cup of tea / coffee in the room. Not possible to reach the curtain controller which was too high to reach.

• Kevin (5/5): Too basic for the price - The shared bathroom was large with plenty of cubicles. The property is only a few minutes walk from the beach. There was on site parking covered by cctv. Unfortunately, there was no air conditioning so the room was hot and the blinds don't keep light out, which means it was difficult to have a good night's sleep. There was also no fridge in the room, so I had to throw food away. The WiFi signal didn't reach the room either. For the price of the accommodation the room and facilities were too basic.

• Shara (10/5): ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Being a hotel, bathroom was shared. But this didn't even cross my mind when I entered the amenities. Not only was there a shower, toilet, and combined shower over bath. The bath was deep! And the water pressure was great. Bath filled to brim in a minute or 2. Another thing I liked was even though we had clean towels in our room, in the bathroom there was shelves stacked with extra towels, a nice wicker bowl , which contained shampoo, conditioner and extra soaps. They even went as far as having a hamper for dirty towels. This hotel was great. Friendly staff. Privacy was great. As simple to check in and out. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!!! The one thing I missed. There was no fridge in room to keep drinks cold.

Sewerage smell coming from outside of our window a couple of times but we couldn't close window as it was too hot There is only 1 ladies bathroom (for the rooms that have no ensuite) which the toilet is included in it. So if someone is showering you can't use the toilet

Der Lärm der Straße war unerwartet laut und begann auch schon wieder ab 5 Uhr morgens. Nur eine Toilette zusammen mit einer Dusche, die für alle Frauen zur Verfügung standen, d.h. wenn einer auf der Toilette war konnte niemand duschen und auch umgekehrt!

The ceiling fan is a little noisy on high. To be fair, I should have checked if AC was advertised as part of the room facilities and did not. At $230+ a night, I assumed it was. Lesson is, never assume. Room could be cleaner.

There were coffee and tea, as well as a little fridge. Really enjoyed staying here! Thank you. Bar from below can be heard upstairs which is not a problem unless you try to go to bed early.

La chambre n’est pas climatisée et les seul moyen de faire de l’air était de faire tourner le ventilateur (ouvrir la fenêtre n’est pas l’idéal car il y a le bruit du Pub en dessous) Le soir c’était très bruyant avec le pub en dessous. En revanche à 23h la musique est moins forte et c’est bien respecté.

• Sue (2/5): The twin room was a dump. I would not stay there again. - The physical location of the hotel and free off-street parking. There was a great selection of cafes and restaurants close by as well as a supermarket. Very close to the Jetty and walking trails. The room had a private bathroom and the bed was comfortable. The twin room was dilapidated and looked neglected. It requires maintenance including a fresh coat of paint. Scuff marks everywhere and peeling paint on the window frames. Only one window actually opened. It was also located on the corner of the building on a very busy intersection. It was noisy all day and night. There was no air conditioning, just a noisy ceiling fan, but leaving the window open for air circulation was not an option because of the noise. External lighting shone into the room all night and the venetian blinds were inadequate to provide darkness. I had to reposition the bed to reduce the light from shining across the bed. The room looked like it was an afterthought to find a use for the space. Other rooms were stylishly renovated and clearly more luxurious than the twin room.
