Shona (5/5): Uncomfortable due to the dirty things in the room. - The fact that they allowed dogs. The bed cover had white stains on it and so did the bedroom chair. It made me feel like the room was unclean. I found that ironic since they doubled my cleaning fee because I had two dogs.
Nora (8/5): Nice friendly helpful staff and unit serviced day. - Easy check in even though no staff on site Saturday afternoon. Accommodated an extra night. Microwave door not working properly. Two staff members said issue hand been reported some time ago. Clearly maintenance isn’t a priority. This appliance needs replacing.

Getting out of the facility and across the other side of the road to go south. Heavy traffic both ways during working hours. Have to go left and turn around where appropriate to travel back south.

It was just a quick on the way south so being so hassle free was helpful. I got a great parking space, but I was afraid to leave because the spaces filled up. If there was additional parking I didn’t see a sign.

We went up to Hamilton from New Plymouth for a hospital eye operation and the accommodation was great for walking to and from the hospital. Our son in law took us up so the extra bedroom and bed in lounge was great for us. It was quiet and the carpark was great for us to get to and from the room. The communication was good texting where key was, make sure we are expected etc. Loved the shower gels, make up cleanser body lotions etc. It wasn't that we didn't like it but the kitchen top was a little crammed although it did suit our purpose as we did our own cooking. I am not sure if one of the power points above the hobs was not working. And although no one was needed we never saw any staff, the times we were there. Not even to drop the key back.

We are from Australia and I wasn’t aware of the area in which the lodge is located and I don’t think I would be safe to walk around. It’s also on a main road so a little noisy. I had not realised we would be upstairs and that was an issue for me carrying bags up and down, as I have recently had a total knee replacement. I asked for a downstairs room but this could not be accommodated.

We generally love staying here always. When anyone asks us we recommend this place & many of our friends stay here. Love the beds. Slippery shower floor for disabled unit. Bed side stands look broken and are not straight, better replaced with small bedside draws. Above rooms bathroom fan left on during the night lost sleep over. Cushions smell dusty.

The room was spacious and the bathroom was large with a great shower. The room was close to the road so the traffic noise was disappointing and made it difficult to sleep. While the bed was nicely made up, it was very soft.
