The bed is very comfortable and the sofa armchair is great for watching sunset. The breakfast is the best I had so far. A range of homemade jams are available for choosing. And the homemade yogurt pot came with honey, museli and peaches. I was feeling very at home and pampered as a guest during my short stay in there. I will certainly choose this place again in future.

- Jemma (10/5): - We really enjoyed our one night stay at Storm Bay B&B. The room was clean and well set up with amenities (ceiling fan, fly screens, balcony). It also had a great view over the harbour from the balcony adjoining our room. The standout feature of this property is the hosts - they are so welcoming and cooked a great breakfast! They also shared a lot of local knowledge, which was useful and very interesting. We would definitely return if we are in the area.
- Max and Lynn (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at Storm Bay BnB. Sylvia and Dave were warm and welcoming, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. It was obvious they enjoy hosting! Sylvia set up ironing facilities for us as we had some dressy events to attend during our stay. The room was spotless and very thoughtfully appointed, and the view was spectacular Breakfast was delicious and filling. Both Sylvia and Dave had helpful suggestions and information about local facilities and attractions. We highly recommend Storm Bay B and B. During our month in Australia it was the best B and B we stayed in!
- Jing Sheng (10/5): - David and Sylvia are extremely friendly and helpful hosts managing a B&B with amazing views of the surrounding area (thoroughly enjoyed just looking out over the B&B's deck). - Jenny C (10/5): Lovely stay in Storm B&B - The hosts Dave and Sylvia were very friendly and kind. They did a good job to make our stay very joyful. I did not know how they can make the place so clean! The decor are very cozy and warm. They told us about the surroundings and made reservations for us for dinner. The house is built on top of the mountain and the view to the Bay was gorgeous! We were happy to stay and would recommend to everyone we know.

- Adriano (10/5): An amazing little getaway! - The best B&B experience we've ever had! David and Slyvia were wonderful hosts with their warm and genuine hospitality. A lovely property with amazing views of Barilla Bay and a super comfortable and clean room. It was wonderful sharing travel stories over a delicious cooked breakfast! We couldn't recommend it more highly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Relazing - Storm Bay was the highlight of our stay in Tasmania.
Sylvia and David made us feel very welcome, on arrival we had coffee and home made cake, overlooking the bay.
It was nice to wake up in the morning with the smell of home made baked bread, the breakfast was amazing with hot bread and a selection of jams, juice and cereal.
If you get a chance to stay here we highly recommend it.
- Jenny (10/5): - The people that run it are excellent .
Breakfast was excellent as well
- Jake (10/5): - David & Sylvia were both amazing hosts. Top tier breakfast made for myself was beautiful. David and Sylvia also have a lot of knowledge on the area. I would stay here again definitely! If you are ever going down port arthur way, definitely stay st storm bay b&b you wont regret it!

- Tracie (10/5): - Amazing accommodation with breathtaking views in this beautiful part of Tassie. Our room had everything and was clean and very well presented. The views from our deck were amazing and as there were no winds we were able to sleep with the windows open watching the moon over the water below - just divine. A wonderful home cooked breakfast in the morning topped off a great stay. Would definitely stay here again!
- Audrey (10/5): - Sylvia and David were very welcoming. The room was large with a great deck and the views were beautiful. Only 10 minutes to Port Arthur and 2 minutes to the beach driving. Only downside was that you could hear guests walking above our room.
- Susan (10/5): Not long enough - Storm Bay is an excellent B&B. The hosts are friendly and helpful. The room comfortable, clean and has a great view. Breakfast was delicious. There are lots of places to visit on the Tasman Peninsula. I wish we had stayed longer.
- Heng (10/5): Perfect: everything we needed and more! - It was the best B&B experience; both Sylvia and Dave are extremely friendly and helpful as Dave cooked breakfast specifically catered to each of our preferences while Sylvia gave us tips on the surrounding areas and local places we should not miss.
The room was very comfortable, clean, and cosy, with every need catered for, even including a wireless phone charger, heated electric blanket, and more. There was also a small patio with an excellent view of the bay and a private entrance from the car park directly to our room.
- Paula (10/5): - Great stay for our short trip from Hobart. The hosts were really friendly and provided us with dining options by text before we arrived, we couldn’t have asked for anything else, just wish we could have stayed longer.
- Sharyn (10/5): - The best experience of all. The owners went over and above in making our stay a memorable one. Waited on hand and foot.
- Scott (10/5): - Excellent hosts, very well presented house and excellent breakfast service. We would strongly reccomend this property.
- Eleonora (10/5): Charming B&B with lovely hosts. - Our 2 night stay at Storm Bay B&B was perfect! It is beautifully located with a view over the Peninsula and the room we got was modern and clean. The hosts, Dave and Sylvia, was really sweet and went above and beyond to make our stay as good as possible.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A gorgeous property with lovely views. The hosts, Dave & Sylvia were fantastic. Would definitely recommend Storm Bay B&B. Would suggest you stay for at least two nights if you are doing Port Arthur. The breakfasts were superb.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location, owners, room, home were all very welcoming wished I could of stayed longer. Oh and the cake yummy.
- Shan&Wade (10/5): - Dave & Sylvia were the most warm & welcoming hosts, more than happy to share invaluable local knowledge that made our visit next level! We came for the historic site but left with so much more - once in a lifetime memories thanks to their recommendations. They are passionate about the area and made us feel right at home from the onset - and cook up a mean brekkie to boot! The room was spacious, inviting & nicely heated with a comfortable king bed; slept incredibly well during our brief stay and will absolutely come again. Two nights is not enough to get the most out of this unique slice of paradise! Last but not least, the view from the balcony across the bay was absolutely breathtaking; not a distanced view somewhere on the horizon but rather all right in front of you to take in and enjoy. Stunning mountains, bay & sea, wildlife... you cannot get any better! Highly recommend as our stay exceeded all expectations - thanks guys :)
- Kerryn (10/5): - Extremely welcoming hosts, great bed, shower & lots of special extras. Wonderful view from a lovely large room & deck. Sylvia & Dave gave lots of tips for things to see & do in the area & also cook a wonderful breakfast. Very well organised & Sylvia even gave us some yummy homemade quince paste to go with our cheese & wine.
Would definitely recommend a stay here.
- Jayne (10/5): - The room overlooked the bay which was lovely and there were wallabies in the garden. The room was immaculate and felt like luxury. The host was very welcoming and even let us borrow there rain jackets when we forgot ours. I would 100% recommend this place and will definitely return!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hosts are very welcoming. The view from our room was overlooking the water and was very relaxing. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast (which is additional but very reasonable) was all home made. Really worth a visit.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - A lovely place to stay. The view is fantastic and the owner’s really make you feel at home.
- Robert (8/5): Very comfortable lodging and very nice hospitality - This was a lovely cottage but not great for an overnight visit since there is only one place to eat and we weren't going to buy groceries for such a short stay. Also, it'd be nice to have some bread or cereal left for guests since it is called a "bed and breakfast" in its name on hotels.com
- Anthony (10/5): We will be back! - We stayed in the self contained cottage, lovely sunny deck and outlook, fireplace, perfect for us!
- Lee (10/5): Everything is Good!!! - The host is very friendly, warm and give good recommendations about the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and stroll along the beach for sunset view is amazing. Only negative is the haze brought about by the bush fire!

- Garry (10/5): Amazing place to stay STORM BAY 👍 - The storm house is a fantastic place to stay,
The owners are very friendly and courteous and made our stay amazing as they treat everyone as a part of their family . The home cooked bread is so delicious, so is the home made jam . Fantastic place I will have no problem going back to Sylvia and David at the storm house. A BIG THUMBS UP FOR STORM BAY GUEST HOUSE.
- Alexandria (10/5): Wonderful Views, rooms and hosts! - This was a truly amazing place to stay! We arrived in Port Arthur very early as our fight from Sydney to Hobart was at 6am. This was the 3rd stop on a 16 day trip touring Australia so we were excited and exhausted :) When we arrived- we were floored by the view from the house! The Sylvia and David were SO friendly and helped with some tips for our day's plans. The room was gorgeous with an amazing view, bed was very comfortable. Sylvia made sure that we had everything that we needed and even chose a great wine for us that she had ready in our room for us when we returned from our day. At dusk there were Wallabies hopping around outside (being from the US- this was just amazing to us :) ). The next morning Sylvia and David made an incredible breakfast with homemade bread included. They were such personable hosts and we really enjoyed our brief stay there. We actually were trying to see if we could cancel our place in Hobart and extend there because we loved it so much- unfortunately we could not because of the room booked in Hobart was already paid for. Surprisingly enough- we have decided to return to Australia in a year or so because we loved it so much- we will definitely stay here again and spend more time.
- Phil (10/5): Great spot close to Port Arthur - Great location close to Port Arthur historic facilities with elevated views of the bays. Would classify as Homestay rather than Hotel however hosts were very accommodating and not intrusive. .
- Verified traveler (10/5): Magnificent views and up close to wildlife. - Very enjoyable stay with our lovely hosts and their wonderful property. We especially enjoyed the large, well furnished deck that allowed us to engage with the local wildlife and of course take in the wonderful views that were capped off with marvellous sunsets.
We will most definitely be recommending this venue to our friends and families.
- Nick (10/5): - Owners/Operators are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and are genuinely invested in not only your stay in their accommodations but your stay in the Tasman Peninsula.
Excellent accommodations at a breathtaking location.
Comfort and cleanliness A++++
Great access to all the Tasman peninsula has to offer.
Will definitely be going back.
- DEREK (10/5): Lovely - The owners were wonderfully welcoming and friendly people; we wished we had had more time to spend with them. The house is quite modern and everything seemed to work well.
- Norm (10/5): I wish I could live there - On arrival Silvia and David make you feel so comfortable then you
see the amazing views from your balcony (you could just sit there and
relax all day) and of course the picture perfect room.
Late afternoon the wildlife turn up and pose for photos
and Breakfast that just topped off the experience
- DIANE (10/5): Excellent value for money - Hosts, Dave and Sylvia were very welcoming and friendly and I have no hesitation in recommending their B n B, which is very clean, modern and well maintained and appointed with spectacular views.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Modern B & B with great views. - Very friendly welcome from hosts Sylvia and David. The house is fairly new and is high up so you have great views of the bay. We had the blue room which was spacious and with a balcony with a view. Quiet location but ideal for visiting Port Arthur.
- Rebecca (10/5): - We absolutely loved our stay and wish we had stayed longer. First, the house is beautiful! Sylvia and David have recently remodeled and everything is brand new. The view is incredible and we loved sitting on their large deck watching the sunset with our dinner. Sylvia’s fresh bread was delicious and David’s breakfast was just what we needed before a day of walking. They were the utmost professional hosts - warm and so welcoming but always prepared w everything we needed and help with our local questions. Thank you for such a lovely stay, we were so happy to meet you!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent and great location. Hosts were wonderful.
- Christopher (10/5): Nice place to relax after 3 Capes Track - We stayed in the cottage. It's a great place to relax after the 3 capes track. Good options for eating inside and out, with full kitchen and Bbq. IGA/bottle shop just round the corner, with OK range. Beach was 5 minutes walk away. Hosts were friendly.
- Peggy (10/5): More than expected! - Great home and hosts! The view is fabulous and the hospitality first rate. Super close to Port Arthur and all things hiking...and David has lots of great ideas.
- Timothy (10/5): Perfect for Tasman Peninsula - If you're staying on the Tasman peninsula you won't find anything better than this place. Dave and Sylvia are great hosts and the house is in an absolutely perfect position. Lovely breakfast (the fresh made bread - awesome). Great little private terrace overlooking the bay - stunning.
- Rod (10/5): Great little find - Very quiet, great location and interesting and committed owners.

- Kim (10/5): Lovely room, amazing view, wonderful hosts. - We enjoyed our stay at Storm Bay Guest House,
Dave and Sylvia go out of their way to make your stay very comfortable.
The room was clean and comfortable and the view is amazing.
Woke up to freshly baked bread for breakfast with Dave's homemade jam.
- selebi (8/5): Convenient for port Arthur. - Staff friendly and rooms very clean. Only downside was no WiFi in the cottage. The owner did offer to let us use theirs at their home but we did not take up the offer. Today WiFi should be expected. Otherwise would be a five.
- Bruce (10/5): Comfort and service with a stunning view - We just had one night but Storm Bay Guest House delivered top quality comfort and service in a stunningly beautiful location. I would highly recommend anyone to stay there.
- Le-anne (10/5): Relaxing - We had a lovely stay. The place was clean, warm, friendly. The view was amazing and the host were so friendly. Thoroughly recommend staying here.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Best cabin we stayed in our whole holiday - The staff were just wonderful. The views were breath taking and the scenery beautiful.
- Pei Sing (10/5): Highly recommended place for a home away from home - Bev and Gary were so warm and wonderful as hosts.
They made sure we had sufficient info to get around seeing the best of the area and even had a wonderful map they did up to help us find the places.
Bev served a wonderful and hearty breakfast and the locally made jams were so good. The ham was delicious too.
They have a garden full of wallabies. The beauty of this is the animals roam free in their element. Definitely better than going to a zoo. They view is stunning from the deck and you can see stars and the milky way at night.
The red room was very clean with comfortable bed and pillows. There was adequate heating in the cold winter.
