Clean, especially the bathroom, with good water pressure and heat. Comfortable mattress and pillows. Blanket in the cupboard for more warmth. Easy check in. Close and covered parking. No issues.

• 620mareem (10/5): Great location and hosts. - The motel is in the middle of the town with dinner available at 2 different pubs, local club or Chinese restaurant within 5 minutes walk. The staff are very obliging and nothing is too much trouble. The beds are very comfortable.

The location was about 10 minute drive to the Big Banana. No onsite shop as just a motel but it’s quiet, clean, comfy, friendly and well priced. • Peter (8/5): Much better location than Nambucca Heads for a transit traveller. - We didn't want an upstairs room so we were given a ground floor room which was very large and comfortable. Well, there isn't much of a view from the downstairs carpark, but we did ask for a ground level room, which is a room suitable for people with reduced mobility.

• Victoria (8/5): Good location, close to town, clean and spacious room. - Good location, very clean, spacious room with separate sitting area to watch TV. Bed was very comfy. Short walk to shops, supermarket, the pub for dinner. Staff were friendly. It was up a flight of stairs with car parked underneath our room rather than outside the door as is usual in most motels. Carpet was a bit tired. $209 for one night seemed a bit expensive but it was the summer holidays and we only booked 2 days before. Also not many places to choose from in Macksville or nearby at this time of year.

• Megan (7/5): Worked as a quick stop on our journey as Coffs was booked out. - Short walk to river, Chinese and bottleshop and larger family room. The host was excellent and very helpful with finding a secure place to park our camper trailer. It’s a bit dated and the area doesn’t have a great vibe. The car park is tight and anyone with a trailer will need to park in the street.

The one bdr apartment has only a fan in the bedroom which was insufficient.
