- Wayne (6/5): Not the best. - Room was big. Old condition and unfortunately, cleanliness was not the best. Used soap on the vanity and false fingernails in the shower. Loud people in other rooms until after midnight.
- Dana (10/5): - We were running late to the property and the owner was so accommodating letting us check in late. The property itself is a real little gem, old style but so clean, neat and tidy. We had a family room and it was so spacious and also had a lovely corner spa. Overall a great little place and would highly recommend.

Tea making area: no sink Bedroom: no power points or lights for single beds The room was no smoking but the man upstairs on the balcony smoked continuously and it wafted into our room. This place is obviously being renovated but it is rough and needs a lot of work.

- Naomi (6/5): - For a quick overnight stay, a place to rest our heads, it was good. The beds were comfortable and sheets were clean. The room was spacious with a lovely view of the river. The motel was a bit rundown and could use a bit of TLC. Fresh paint on the walls, new carpet, new cupboard doors etc. It felt dirty because of the worn out walls and floors but the beds and bathroom were well cleaned. There were a few loud disturbances from other guests or tenants during the evening, but despite that, it wasn’t bad for the purpose of giving us a bed for the night.

- Stephen (8/5): - Place is convenient for a waypoint on a road trip, and you get what you get for a price that says you should have expectations accordingly for shopping at the bottom end of the price list. Neighbours exist, are colorful, sometimes loud, and all of the times right to be co-existing with the property. Service was good, room was solid, large for the price, clean and set up for the overnight stay you need halfway through a roadtrip.

Mould everywhere, dust everywhere, insects in all light fittings, no continental breakfast as promised, restaurant closed, room not serviced daily, Rusty fridge, dirty tray with the coffee cups on, fingerprints on wine glasses, coffee stains on walls, filthy curtains, stained couch, broken dining chair, dirty and sticky dining table, vanity had not been cleaned, lolly bags provided for sanitary use, crumpled bags used to house unmatched knives and forks, pool was green, no Foxtel or AusStar as advertised, dirty carpet, smeared windows and mirrors, rude staff if they were ever present NEVER AGAIN

They fought all night amongst themselves complete with Abusive yelling all night and finally police were called to intervene. Got very little sleep additionally because threats were made by permanent residents when I was locking my car that I must have thought they were thieves and going to steal my things etc. Overall a very uncomfortable experience.Will not be back
- Joan (2/5): Riverview Motel Taree - The room was disgusting dirty and carpet was putrid. Outside was terrible dirty. We checked out after an hour and moved to another motel. No refund was offered. Would not stay or recommend to anyone. Stay clear of it when booking.

- Nicolle (2/5): - The owners of this motel are rude, unprofessional and have no interest in keeping their customers happy. When I asked to reschedule my booking due to a simple error with dates when I booked only a couple hours earlier I was told they had no vacancies for the following night, my money was lost and that was it. Which was rude enough but when I could see not only did they still have vacancies available online for the following night even the next day they never booked out. So my trip was ruined for no other reason than bad customer service. I would not recommend this motel to anyone

- Travellers (8/5): - Very spacious rooms with a very convenient breakfast provided which was perfect for us as we were travelling and just passing through. Rooms are a little noisy though, especially the taps/showers - you can hear screeching from other rooms. Lovely views of the river also.

Soft furnishings good and facilities in room more than acceptable. Just replace carpets, curtains and attend to garden and this property would be lifted to a new level. A clean and comfortable stay but needs some investment.

- Verified traveler (2/5): - This room was booked at midday on the day of the booking due to an employee from our business wanting to escape the bushfires in Old Bar. Unfortunately they were unable to get out of Old Bar and when I called to cancel the room a few hours later the hotel staff member I spoke to immediately (and somewhat aggressively) insisted that we had to 'check in by 8:30pm' and if we didn't we still had to pay for the room. Given the natural disaster that is currently unfolding in Old Bar/Taree I found this attitude totally disgusting. Even if the room had to be charged due to a non-cancelation policy (which in these circumstances I'm amazed wasn't wavered), the aggressive way the staff member insisted the room had to be paid for (with no empathy toward the reason it had to be cancelled) was completed inappropriate. We will certainly never use this hotel in the future.

Got a refund (which thankfully he offered) went two doors down to the Marco Polo Motor Inn, had lovely service and a yummy dinner delivered to my room.

The curtains had hooks missing and looked uncared for. The towels were threadbare and our friend slipped on the stairs because there were a couple of lights out in the stairwell. The dining area was fine and the breakfast very good. However I think the price was dear for the condition of the room.

- Suzanne (8/5): Quick stopover on way from Brisbane to Sydney - This is a very basic hotel and a bit dated. However the room was clean, the bed comfortable and the shower good. A continental breakfast was included in the tariff which was convenient. Ok for an overnight stay.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Short stopover - A spacious room and good wifi, location not bad. Complementary breakfast if you're an early riser - finished at 8:15 even on a w/e. Were good enough to lend us a toaster so we could make our own breakfast at our leisure. Friendly helpful staff. Lovely rural view over the Manning river from our window.

- Darryl (6/5): - Our experience started poorly from first contact and it didn't improve. I chose to phone ahead, as a courtesy, about two hours out to let staff know we may arrive after reception closing time. I was confronted by someone demanding I pay for the room, which I believed I had paperwork to say I had from wotif as nothing indicated I hadn't. To avoid wasting time, I said I would sort it out upon arrival. Upon arrival, I was met with a rude, arrogant and indignant person who raised his voice at me when I tried to get explanations about alleged non-payment. The motel is generally untidy and the gardens unkempt. The rooms, despite being comfortable and "quaint" are grubby and worn (walls need painting, carpet needs cleaning, broken tiling needs fixing, taps repaired, etc). Only the towels were changed in morning room service (bed not made and floors not mopped/swept). They could have hidden the fact (in presentation) that the complimentary continental breakfast was made up of cheap brands. Most were in their original shop packaging - bread, serviettes, fruit, juice. Table cloths in the dining room/restaurant were unironed.
