The Beds need an upgrade, the carpet needs a thorough clean, especially in the bedrooms. Not a good idea with a double bed in the middle of the "sitting/living/tv room, that was a really weird setup.

- Eugene (5/5): It was passable, but I would not consider going back here. - It's in a good location, it is big enough and everything worked (apart from bedside table light). Staff were friendly and the apartment was cleaned well. It looks old / tired / worn, like it has been running since it was built in the 70's and not had anything done since. Paint is coming off outside, kitchen counter has spots where the cover has been worn off etc. etc. There are better places for this amount of money.

- Justin (4/5): - The Location and View were excellent. Although you pay for the convenient location and view, the lack of of investment in the property made me feel the rates I paid were too high. The aluminum windows and doors didn't open or close easily. Bathroom heater made the the room severally vibrate, toilet doors weren't the easiest to lock. And the TVs are extremely small for the rooms .

- Katrin Müh. (6/5): Motel für höchstens eine Nacht absolut ohne Wohlfühlfaktor - Die Lage fast direkt am Lake Taupo mit allem Sehenswerten dort ist perfekt. Im Apartment ist genügend Platz für sogar 4 Personen in zwei großen Doppelbetten. Das Bad im EG bedarf dringend einer Renovierung und war nicht sauber, siehe Bilder. Insgesamt wirkt die gesamte Anlage sehr renovierungsbedürftig, ein Wohlfühlfaktor kommt keinesfalls auf. Für eine Nacht auf der Durchreise gerade so akzeptabel für uns, aber nicht mehr.

Spacious - unlike many motels. In the unit I was in, the stairs to the main bedroom -which also has the bathroom with the spa bath- are very steep. If you have mobility issues or vertigo check with the venue before booking.

- Delwyn (6/5): Adequate for one nights stay - Rooms were spacious, location good and price good. Shower had good pressure Beds were a little uncomfortable. King size was too soft, one of the single beds was lumpy and the other very springy. Unfortunately the spa cover had been left off so the spa was not very hot, also no spa towels provided (nothing in basket next to pool gate entrance as specified in the motel room book so had to use our shower towels).

- Lauren (3/5): Underwhelming and not 4 stars - Location very close to town. Decent view of the lake. The bed was firm but not uncomfortable. This is a poor excuse for a 4 star property. Probably more towards 2.5-3 star. The apartment was 2 story and the stairs and upper level flooring were SO creaky. I’m not just talking little squeaks. Big groaning creaks that sound like it’s due for a rebuild. You could hear the neighbours floors too, that’s how loud it was. The couch was stained. The shower control was just on/off (no pressure variation). The outside of the building including the pool was run-down. Overall I would not stay here again. It was okay enough for us to stick out our 2 nights, but if it wasn’t non refundable I would have moved to another hotel.

I would certainly return but would stay long - The location and rooms looking over lake It’s all about location It’s a dated property. Little bit old and didn’t look like much or any maintenance had been done around the pool area.
